Hostels in Oberstdorf

Clean and modern hostel a 5 minute (and €2.50) bus ride away from Oberstdorf town centre. I had a shared room and was happy with what was provided for the price. Charging socket and bed lamp next to each bed, each bed gets its own locker (brig your own padlock) showers and toilets were clean and modern. My family of 4 stayed here while visiting for the event where they bring the cows down from the mountain. It was our first experience staying at Hostel. The place was very clean but tight room space. The staff was nice. A few things in our bathroom were broken and breakfast was so crowded we had no where to sit. They were also doing construction so parking was tricky. Not totally disappointed but...

Very nice and friendly atmosphere. The infrastructure is really good and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook a proper meal. The breakfast is OK, not special but not bad too. They have 1 option of gluten-free breed. The rooms are good and the bad is comfortable. The place is beautiful and calm. You can reach the hostel by bus from the city center .

Great place. Stayed there with my family for 1 night but really enjoyed it. Rooms are basic, but bright, modern and clean. Overall facility has all u need... kitchen, media room with PlayStation, fireplace, outdoor soccer and basketball etc. Breakfast ist great and so is the location.

It's relatively far (one hour walk and buses every once in a while) from the actual town of oberstdorf. Otherwise perfect stay, perfect staff and a great experience.

Great Hostel, brand new, cosy location, a lot of service, good start for hiking. Good wifi, lockers for backpacks, restaurants arround, every time again.

The location of this youth hostel is great between the mountains. The view and landscape around is great. Close to the gorge Breitachklamm. Very good hiking starting point. Value versus cost is great. The problem that there is no internet in the rooms. Also, you have wake up early because the hiking guys make high noise

A above average accommodation with friendly staff and great breakfast. The rooms very pretty clean as well. They also have adequate parking spots around the hostel. Both Oberstdorf and Freibergsee are a short drive from the hostel. The Wi-Fi connection was definitely a shortcoming as mobile network was very weak at this spot. Otherwise would recommend it.

Great location and friendly staff. It's in a very lovely place surrounded by little mountains. You're in Oberstdorf within 10 mins from the hostel with public transport. They provided us good dinner and breakfast. The WiFi was included in the price; however it was almost never working inside the room. We had to go downstairs every now and then to even google something.

This youth hostel is in a very nice location, the mountains around are perfect for day hikes in the area, for both more advanced tours and also very nice and easy hikes (e.g. Breitachklamm). The staff in the hostel is very nice and helpful and will give you tips for tours you could do. The rooms are not as well-equipped as some other DJH hostels, for example there are no reading lamps mounted on the walls for the bunk beds and the showers are clean but without any sort of shelf to keep small items dry. Staff very friendly and helpful though.

Amazing spot and great price ! They offer breakfast and dinner and there are amazing hikes within walking distance ! The staff was very helpful and offered food for the hike! Recommend if you are on a low budget

Very nice reception, great team Owner, kitchen very friendly, nice and helpful. Nice room, great view. Breakfast, buffet so nicely presented. Swimming pool and sauna, mountain trips including simply top. We'll be back, only recommended.

We have been there twice and can only say that you feel great there. Nice and very friendly owner, nice team . Everything was very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast, plus the great view. We will be back in 5 weeks and will celebrate our silver wedding with the family there in May. We have already been there 7 times in the meantime and in 2 weeks we will be there for the eighth time.

Beautiful mountain inn. The food is excellent, the rooms are super clean and the staff is very friendly and courteous. We can really recommend the mountain inn.

Very nice hotel with Berggasrhof. The hotel is about 7 km outside of Oberstdorf at the end of a very beautiful valley in an absolutely quiet location in great nature. The house Alpenglück is highly recommended for a small group or families with children. The old wooden house is beautifully and authentically decorated with many details, at the same time the facilities are modern and practical (W-Lan, sockets, kitchen, bathroom ...)
