Where to stay in Stolberg

I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Even before you get to the restaurant, the beauty of the building will take your breath away. A large house of beautiful cobblestones with wooden logs holding up the roof and walls. Stunning. The service is lovely, proactive and knows what you want before you know it. And the food... is to die for. An absolute must-to-visit if you are in the area.

Excellent place. Rooms we're very nicely furbished, clean and comfortable. The TV was a bit old, so a bit difficult to operate. High qualitiy food, with enough to chose from, even if it was a bit expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent for an evening walk. Would recommend if you want to stay in the area.

Very nice hotel with lots of parking places, I could park my motorcycle in a garage. The hotel has a very nice terras, not too big but good and clean rooms, a bit hot in summer times (no airco). Hotel seems well maintained. Staff was kind and food and drinks good. Hotel is just in between Vicht and Zweifall. We did an evening walk to Zweifall and back, very nice 1 hour walk. I want to come back here

A 4* review for a 4* hotel - fitting isn't it? The rooms could use a little more imagination about the decor and a little more soundproofing. The breakfast service though was absolutely fantastic! :)

The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast offered in the morning is delicious with plenty of options. The staff works hard and is very courteous. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Good service. Attentive staff. But the snacks machines didn't work. So, we had to look for water outside the hotel.

No bar or restaurant but does have a beer vending machine. No where to sit outside except for Inthe front steps. Hidden away next to a multistory car park but a short walk to a stunning town with great history.

Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, etwas versteckt aber sehr schön. Ruhig und leicht zu erreichen. Zimmer sind groß genug und schön eingerichtet. Badezimmer ist auch gut ausgestattet. Dusche hat ein etwas seltsamen Boden, bin abgesackt :-) Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend, erkundigen sich auch immer wieder ob alles ok war. Und das war es! Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausreichend und alles vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und geräumig. Der Boden ist etwas uneben aber das macht das moderne aussehen wieder wett. Die einzigen zwei kleinen Mängel sind einmal die Kissen, weil diese ziemlich steif sind und man sie nicht so legen kann wie man möchte und der zweite wäre die Sauberkeit. lovely staff and a great old house. my room was clean and big but maybe facing the wrong side...or you bring ear plugs. the bathroom had everything what is needed but a little dated. at the end, I would go there again :)

Prima. Ik was hier om te fietsen. Je kunt de Eifel, zowel in België als in Duitsland en je kunt richting Zuid-Limburg. Er is een gedeelde keuken en daar kun je als je wilt eten maken. Ook kun je koffie zetten (staat er gewoon) en ontbijten. Dat vond ik handig.

After our first visit in 2019, we were enthusiastic about the hotel (great service, very clean rooms, very good breakfast). It was also nice that we were able to move our reservation from 2020 to 2022. Everything was great again this year, so we booked again for next year.

Had room 4 on the 1st floor with balcony, room and bathroom clean and tidy, public parking about 50m away and free from 7pm to 9am, breakfast €6, I came after 6pm and was then able to With the help of the telephone and key code and safe check in without any problems, breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m

Were there in August 020... Must say..room very clean.. Especially the shower...toilet... Very important for me! Good, clean, nice hoel with friendly staff and helpfull reception. Hotel has free underground parking, which has elevator straight to hotel. Situated center of town, great.

Stay not the best. Location is really nice. Walking distance to Nice Square with restaurants. Hotel staff could have been friendlier. Room had no airconditioning and had to close windows due to outside noise & thereby room got rather heated, resultingin an uncomfortable night. . No coffee or other in room. No USB connections available. Overall the stay just okay.

Great Breakfast! The 3rd floor rooms are not pleasant because the ceiling slants due to the roof and I have hit my head a dozen times, you need to duck while walking through some of the room. Rooms on other floors seem nice though. Wifi as stated in other reviews is not very good.

An excellent hotel with good en-suite rooms and continental breakfast

Excellent location not far from the motorway but in a traditional setting. Spacious,clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff. The restaurant was closed ( for holidays we thought) but a nearby pizzeria resolved the problem . Breakfast in the hotel was excellent.

Very cosy Hotel - excellent service and a very good restaurant - we enjoyed a very well prepared dinner. The winecard also present German wines - which was highly appreciated. The breakfast is good and you can be served a very nice egg fresh from the farm. A nice stay.

The unit was lovely. Only catch was the 5th floor with no lift. We had already been on holiday for one week so bags was full. Also the no washing machine, whereas my friend who stayed two levels down had and his unit was cheaper

Booked Xmas 2018 . Started off disappointingly when we couldn’t access our room as our keys were taken by another holiday couple. The problem we realised is that multiple keys are kept in one key locker and so ours was mistakenly taken. Very clean and beautiful place with a lot of space. Calm neighborhood where you can let your car on the streets. Only thing bad is the heater was off during the two nights I spent in the place, but on during the days.

What a lovely hotel. It's located near a wooded area and it has a riding school attached. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they are also very helpful. This hotel has a restaurant. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It's quiet and calm and really enjoyable.

We stayed here for one short night. The rooms were good; the beds a bit hard. Breakfast was little more than basic but served in a friendly atmosphere at the inn. It is an inn, in the woods but on the outskirts of Aachen. A perfect spot if you want to ride the Vennbahn, for instance, but I wouldn't recommend it for a prolonged stay.

Always great food at the Heide. The Lammrücken was delicious. Service was really fast and very attentive. My first time was 20 years ago and had the best steak in Deutschland.

The room was clean and quiet. We arrived early evening and we're directed to the restaurant to check in. Even though it was a non-smoking room, the room smelled of cigarettes.

The rooms are warm and elegant, the gym is fully equipped, the swimming pool is clean and clear, and the leisure and entertainment facilities are complete. I booked this hotel for swimming pool, and it’s beyond my expectation. The swimming pool is not big, but with shower, fitting room, toilets and shampoo/hairdryer. These rooms and water in the pool are warm and you don‘t need to worry about getting cold after swimming. Really nice for relaxing. I was surprised with how nice the hotel was. The room was simple but pretty. And the people working there were friendly. The cleaners don’t know english tho, so that was not easy to communicate. The reception on the other hand knows their english pretty well. We even got a room upgrade for the same price as the old one when we decided to stay another night. And that room was amazing! Clean, spacious rooms, perfect breakfast (I always rather have less choice but of good quality). Swimming pool is nice to (love the jets for endless swimming) but some chairs next to the pool would be nice…. Restaurant is a bit overpriced for what you get.

The hotel is not upto date. Its a antique property. Its not so friendly environment. For breakfast you are not allowed to choose your seat even they are free. Breakfast coffee is horrible. The rate of almost euro 100 is also doesn't worth. A 3 star is also too much.

Good food. Lovely restaurant area. Toilet in our room was badly stained on both visits a week apart, but apart from that the room was clean and comfortable.
