Before arrival, we tried calling several times (5 calls) to confirm our reservation details, but no one picked up. Once at the hotel, we were given our keys and went to the room, only to find an insect on the bed (photo attached), hair on the bathroom floor, and a general lack of cleanliness.
When we brought this to the reception’s attention (with photos), the staff member reacted in an apathetic way. His comments were along the lines of: “This is Germany in the summer, maybe a window was open” and “What do you want me to do? Come there and take it myself?” While we understand that insects can enter rooms, what was disappointing was the lack of empathy and unwillingness to provide solutions. This left us feeling more upset than the insect itself.
Breakfast was decent, although a bit overpriced for what was offered. The views, however, were lovely.
During checkout, when we explained everything again to a different receptionist, she was more understanding and kindly offered a 15% discount. While we hadn’t been looking for compensation, this gesture was appreciated.
Overall, the experience left much to be desired, and the service did not meet the standards we expected.
Breakfast is okay. The Spanish omelet was overcooked, chocolate croissants nearly black from being too long in the oven.
Coffee: I had better ones. But overall, breakfast is okay.
Personel is very friendly and helpful.
It wasn't too far from the city center either.
It was within walking distance.
I also liked the free drinks that were replenished every day.
