Lovely studio Wonderful hotel. Beautiful studio apartment. Genuinely couldn't have been better and the pictures don't do it justice. The 2 beds are on a landing above so after putting our child to bed we had the whole living space downstairs to ourselves.

We spent two nights here recently and had a chance to dine at the restaurant on premises. Loved it very much and the hospitality from the staff here was truly reflective of the Bavarian “gastgeber” attitude, friendly, welcoming and going out of their way to look after you. wife and I have stayed several times. This time we stopped on our drive from Italy crossing the Alps to Munich on a beautiful October day. We stopped for a small, delicious lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the fall sun and the one of a kind 180 degree view over the Tegernsee, into the Alps we just had driven through. We continued on to drive another hour to our Munich hotel.

Family-run hotel with charm. Ideal starting point for extensive hikes. The owners are super nice, everything is clean, and the beds are super comfortable. We would like to highlight the very sumptuous breakfast with delicious, regional products. We didn't miss anything, we'd definitely love to come back.

Great, new and stylish hotel with big and clean rooms and a big spa area with 3 different saunas.

The heating system didn’t work and there have been a steam drawing on the bathroom window facing the bedroom. The rest was good.

This is the best place to stay if you want a clean room with a spectacular view of Tegernsee. Also included is one of the best breakfast buffets we’ve ever had in our travels to Germany. They have assorted meats, smoked salmon, fruits, assorted jellies, the best coffee and more. I highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

My family and I recently stayed at Der Westerhof. We so enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean, and a delicious breakfast was served every morning. I visited this area for the first time, and I really liked this hotel. The rooms are good sized and the bed is very comfortable. The windows swing open wide which was nice to bring in the cool evening air. The hotel is easy to find and there is free car parking available, although it did take a couple of attempts to find the entrance to the car park. A cozy but somewhat spacious hotel. It has a restaurant with two sides - inner "oldschool", a really pleasant authentic vibe. And street side with glass walls where you can enjoy the great lake/mountain view. Local people are enjoying their evening there and it's really relaxing. I was there for 1 week. The hotel is right on the lake and there is also a delicious breakfast. The staff is VERY nice and the rooms are nicely decorated. Unfortunately there is only breakfast for lunch or in the evening you have to reserve somewhere else.

The Landhotel Sonnenfeld can only be recommended. Big rooms but not all with showers. Breakfast very good, enough choice of cheese, and sausage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, scrambled eggs with bacon. Dinner simple, quick food, but plentiful, breadcrumbs finite, but everything was edible. We were all inclusive, so you could even take a packed lunch with you.

While we only had a quick drink after dinner here, I would like to commend the excellent wait staff and the fine selection of spirits. A locally produced Williams Pear Schnapps was especially good. The setting right by the lake provided a wonderful ambiance. I would love to return and try dinner as well.

I have stayed there for 2 days for a business trip. The Hotel in total was ok. A bit aged but the facilities where ok. The service was good. Friendly people at the reseption as well as at the breakfast. The problem I had was with my room. Unfortunatelly it was not the cleanest. There where some toothpaste spashes under the mirror, stripes from suitcases on the wall (of course this could happen but...

Quiet hotel within walking distance of the lake and a short drive to the local sights. We stayed here the last week of May and thoroghly enjoyed it. Friendly staff, neat and clean with a nice breakfast at a good price. We would stay again.

We attended my niece's wedding at the hotel's special wedding venue next to the main hotel building. The venue has indoor seating for around 70 guests on two floors, and is what is best described as typically bavarian, with wooden beams, walls and flooring. So it is a very charming venue for small weddings. The service was stellar as was the food - all locally sourced (I'm told).

The stay was genuinely perfect. Great food (breakfast was incredible), spa, pool, customer service, and beautiful area! The room was a perfect size for my mother, daughter and I. Every detail was thought of and I would recommend this hotel highly!

The hotel is nice, near lake with a beautiful panoramic view from the restaurant. The breakfast was good (for a vegan option you have to announce at reception or kitchen - not sure where exactly...). The pool was wonderful, water warm - so if it rains you can swim.

Best hotel in the area, most bang for the buck. Great breakfast, very nice rooms. Weinbauer restaurant highly recommended local produce freshly served every day. The shop "Hausladen" on the same premises is also run by the same family, with a great selection of regional products.

I loved my stay at the Askania Hotel. The location is great, the personal is very kind, the style keeps the magic of the old wooden mountain houses. Special mention to the breakfast. The room could be a little bit more modern (bathroom mostly). I do very recommend this hotel if you want a cosy stay at the Tegernsee.

Situated very near the beautiful lake Tegernsee, this hotel is in a great location. We had a large room with a great wrap around balcony, let down only by a very small but functional bathroom. Small family run hotel. The personel where very friendly and made you feel welcome. Rooms are clean, spacious with small balcony with great views of the Tegernsee and surrounding mountains. We stayed at the hotel last weekend with a total of 8 people and were all very enthusiastic, nice reception by the senior boss, great rooms, simply comfortable and so beautifully decorated, especially the large balcony is great. Breakfast very good, plenty of parking spaces directly at the house. 2-3 very good restaurants nearby, the junior chef gives great tips! You are at the lake in 2-3 minutes...

Super nice hosts who are very accommodating and helpful. You care deeply about the well-being of your guests. You can't complain here at all. Super delicious breakfast with a large selection. You can quickly reach Lake Tegernsee on foot and you will also find a variety of restaurants.

At the beginning of the month we shared a few rooms in the guest house. We were very satisfied, the rooms are wonderful, very clean and the hosts were TIPTOP. Very nice hotel, we received a very warm welcome and were offered help carrying our suitcases. Rooms are very clean, our bed was nice and big for two people, bathroom a bit narrow but still nice. Parking spaces are sufficient when there are not that many guests, but when there are more there are unfortunately a bit tight, as I am a stomach sleeper, the pillow was a bit too high and there was a small...

Clean spacious rooms, small bathroom, adequate and clean in quiet rural location. Heated outdoor pool was a nice touch at all times of year. Comfortable beds and bedding.
