Where to stay in Tegernsee

Such an incredibly beautiful location. Fantastic staff and facilities. The absence of air conditioning, while principled in reason, can be difficult in summer; and the shower temperatures can be variable. These are minor complaints however, I would return without any hesitation.

We booked a suite with view on the lake but a roof disturbed the view, we reservated already 9/2023. There was also a bad smell in the toilet. We booked an expensieve room but are very disoppointed. On the reception they promised a compensation but we payed at the end the full balance. The service and food in the Senger restaurant was very good

Such a spectacular experience. Fantastic rooms, great food and service, and amazing sauna and pool facilities. Definitely find out when the saunameister has the aufguss session - it was my favourite time during the entire stay.

The best little boutique hotel right on the lake in a historical but updated building. It feels like you are walking in to another era. The service is amazingly attentive, and at the restaurant, in particular the fish and cheese, is fantastic. The balconies of the rooms are huge and overlook the water. This hotel is a shining example of the best that Tegernsee offers. We’ll be booking again soon!

Good food, but a first glance at the website suggests that the hotel might be more on the country side. The service is very good and the fish was delicious. Only the amenities were a little warm due to a missing air-conditioning.

A beautiful weekend getaway. Only 1 hour from Munich lies the stunning Seehotel Luitpold. Located right next to the lake the rooms hold a stunning view. Uriges Hotel mit hochwertigen Zimmern und gutem Essen. Besonders der Neubau auf der anderen Straßenseite mit direkten Blick auf den Tegernsee vom Balkon war grandios. Nur die Enten sehen dich nackt, wenn du morgens die Aussicht genießt ;)

I loved it and the staff do their best to guests. They also help you get restaurant bookings and provide information around the area. I Like the 24h coffee/tea lounge ... free cake 2-4 pm . No food after that as no restaurant or room service so you have to dine outside everyday or bring food to your or you starve ...!

Nice place. Room overpriced though. The junior suite I was suggested costs as high as €249! Wo-Fi is slow. Parking is free. Excellent view on to the Tegernsee. I didn't stay there because of the high price.

Family-run hotel with charm. Ideal starting point for extensive hikes. The owners are super nice, everything is clean, and the beds are super comfortable. We would like to highlight the very sumptuous breakfast with delicious, regional products. We didn't miss anything, we'd definitely love to come back.

Very friendly hoteliers. At the moment still with the 3 G's which was very uncomplicated, with a test station 1 minute away. The food is very good and it is cooked with fresh ingredients, also every day a special meal outside the menu. The hotel itself in a very quiet location and still close to the center. Go on vacation at any time.

We stayed at Caro&Selig during opening week. The hotel is very modern and we really liked the design. The service was hard-working and accommodating. The location good. The only drawback: the value for money for the breakfast buffet. No fresh juices, few fruit variations...

A cozy but somewhat spacious hotel. It has a restaurant with two sides - inner "oldschool", a really pleasant authentic vibe. And street side with glass walls where you can enjoy the great lake/mountain view. Local people are enjoying their evening there and it's really relaxing. The room is great, more spacious than I imagined, even with a baby crib. Breakfast was excellent.

Exceptional stay! The hotel is very nicely located with an amazing view at Tegernsee, the staff is very friendly specially Frau Schneider and the lovely breakfast staff. We spent two nights here recently and had a chance to dine at the restaurant on premises. Loved it very much and the hospitality from the staff here was truly reflective of the Bavarian “gastgeber” attitude, friendly, welcoming and going out of their way to look after you. Close to 300 Euro’s a night I expected a lot more. The location is fantastic, with amazing viewpoint. We selected a suite to have opportunity to sit and soak in the lake view, unfortunately despite a large terrace with the room the lake wasn’t visible when seated. wife and I have stayed several times. This time we stopped on our drive from Italy crossing the Alps to Munich on a beautiful October day. We stopped for a small, delicious lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the fall sun and the one of a kind 180 degree view over the Tegernsee, into the Alps we just had driven through. We continued on to drive another hour to our Munich hotel.
