Such a spectacular experience. Fantastic rooms, great food and service, and amazing sauna and pool facilities. Definitely find out when the saunameister has the aufguss session - it was my favourite time during the entire stay.

The best little boutique hotel right on the lake in a historical but updated building. It feels like you are walking in to another era. The service is amazingly attentive, and at the restaurant, in particular the fish and cheese, is fantastic. The balconies of the rooms are huge and overlook the water. This hotel is a shining example of the best that Tegernsee offers. We’ll be booking again soon!

Good food, but a first glance at the website suggests that the hotel might be more on the country side. The service is very good and the fish was delicious. Only the amenities were a little warm due to a missing air-conditioning.

A beautiful weekend getaway. Only 1 hour from Munich lies the stunning Seehotel Luitpold. Located right next to the lake the rooms hold a stunning view. Family-run hotel with charm. Ideal starting point for extensive hikes. The owners are super nice, everything is clean, and the beds are super comfortable. We would like to highlight the very sumptuous breakfast with delicious, regional products. We didn't miss anything, we'd definitely love to come back.

Very friendly hoteliers. At the moment still with the 3 G's which was very uncomplicated, with a test station 1 minute away. We spent two nights here recently and had a chance to dine at the restaurant on premises. Loved it very much and the hospitality from the staff here was truly reflective of the Bavarian “gastgeber” attitude, friendly, welcoming and going out of their way to look after you. wife and I have stayed several times. This time we stopped on our drive from Italy crossing the Alps to Munich on a beautiful October day. We stopped for a small, delicious lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the fall sun and the one of a kind 180 degree view over the Tegernsee, into the Alps we just had driven through. We continued on to drive another hour to our Munich hotel.

A cozy but somewhat spacious hotel. It has a restaurant with two sides - inner "oldschool", a really pleasant authentic vibe. And street side with glass walls where you can enjoy the great lake/mountain view. Local people are enjoying their evening there and it's really relaxing. The room is great, more spacious than I imagined, even with a baby crib. Breakfast was excellent.

While we only had a quick drink after dinner here, I would like to commend the excellent wait staff and the fine selection of spirits. A locally produced Williams Pear Schnapps was especially good. The setting right by the lake provided a wonderful ambiance. I would love to return and try dinner as well.

It's OK

We are already for the 4th time in this small, enchanting guesthouse! It's like coming home. Nice, clean rooms with a Bavarian flair. In the morning, a lovingly prepared breakfast awaits you in a cultivated atmosphere. The caring breakfast fairy fulfills all wishes. This house is run by the owner with a lot of heart. We have already booked again and are already looking forward to our next stay.

I just spent one night at this hotel, from Sunday to Monday. Overall, rather disappointing, at least relative to hotels in the same category. First surprise, the spa is closed for all types of treatments on Sundays. Simply insane, during 50% of the weekend, one cannot get a simple massage. The hotel is nice, near lake with a beautiful panoramic view from the restaurant. The breakfast was good (for a vegan option you have to announce at reception or kitchen - not sure where exactly...). The pool was wonderful, water warm - so if it rains you can swim.

We had a wonderful time at Adolphine hotel with our elderly relatives. The location is perfect as you can walk to all the restaurants along the lake at Rottach-Egern. It is very quiet and has great breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Adolphine Garden. We treated ourselves to the King Suite which had stunning views of the mountains. The suite itself was incredibly comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Excellent breakfast and spa facilities. One tiny gripe was that there is no laundry service which would have been useful but otherwise everything exceeded our expectations

The fresh bread rolls for breakfast, and the variety of spreads and meat were a highlight. The location where, just in the 10 minutes between town centre and hotel, felt like two different worlds. We had a very peaceful and relaxed weekend here at Hotel Bachmair Alpina. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and really took care of us. The country house is in a very quiet location, just outside of Rottach-Egern. The room was nicely furnished with light wood, but since it is a wooden house, it is also very noisy and therefore relies on the other guests to be quiet as well. The breakfast was very extensive and with fresh ingredients. Overall, however, the overnight stay is very expensive.
