My family and I loved every minute of our stay in maravilla Eco lodge, Robert made the checking very easy, beautiful place well maintained, we loved our bungalow beach front you can jump right into the pool from it the kids loved that , comfy beds everything clean, peaceful environment

The stay was great. Rooms were okay. The service was great, the staff always pleasant.

Spent a week here in March 2024 and had an absolute blast. Rooms were clean and in great shape. Our room had AC, not all rooms do - something to keep in mind.
Food was great, don’t sleep on the pumpkin soup. Seriously, the chefs know their stuff.
Staff were helpful with concerns and property was well maintained. Great first trip to the DR!

We spend 3 nights in Cabarete Maravilla Beach Ecolodge in April 2024 to start our DR Roundtrip.

[Ambiente]
The hotel has a great value and provides a real experience. The Ambiente is pretty basic and ecolodge like. You have to like it - do not expect 5* All in Resort feeling. For nature lovers like us, it was perfect.

[Service]
It’s a small hotel with not many rooms and a personal service. We would like to underline Robert’s support! This guy is gold - saw a lot of the world and is always available for questions and tips. He supported us with his expierence how to get around the DR without the typical tourism traps. Thumbs up to Robert.

[Price]
We paid roughly 70€/day for B&B incl. Tax. Price was ok.

Overall - go for it if you want so start your trip or if you look for something basic.

First: I RARELY leave a 5 star review on anything. I think it’s cheesy and just makes readers think it’s fake.

But Maravilla Eco Lodge deserves it. Beautiful well done elegantly rustic tree house style accommodations. I think the pictures give a good fair representation but at the same time don’t do justice to capture the spirit of the place. These are not the accommodations for the resort Barbie type people.

This is one of those rare hard to find super fun feeling , yes Swiss family Robinson-esque type places.

They are clean, airy, super comfortable, mosquito nets are provided but honestly because of the constant breeze coming off the ocean not really needed.

We stayed in the treehouse that has a jump off platform right into the pool. So great for wake up plunges after a super relaxing night listening to the waves crashing 100 feet away! 😂

All the staff are very helpful, kind, accommodating, and seem genuinely pleased to have the guests.

The beach is gorgeous, private, has a nice little wave about 100 yards out that has decent lefts and rights.

I also had the opportunity to do an hour yoga session with Clemence the manager/on site yoga instructor. What an incredible experience. So calming, and set the rest of the vacation on such a positive course.

I can’t say enough great things about Maravilla. It is exactly the type of place I go out of my way to find when I travel. I’m not a resort person. I like places where I can feel a bit more free and intrepid rather than a pampered, over indulgent walking ATM machine.

I’m so thankful places like Maravilla are available for people like me.

Love this place!! It was definitely something different and what a wonderful experience I had. Waking up to a beautiful view of the beach, horseback riding and drinking piña colada while relaxing on the playa!! What more do you need?

Our first visit to the Dominican Republic could not be more amazing and enjoyable as here! We were two families sharing the biggest room - a gorgeous Swiss family Robinson style accommodation with a front completely open to nature and the ocean view… stunning and unique. The kids loved the beautiful views, beach, pool and outstanding breakfasts (prepared with love by Daysi!) and parents loved the relaxed natural ambiance, food, beach bar and easy access to beach combing, surfing, kiting, snorkelling, and horse riding by walking or guagua (shared minibus taxi). Staff were helpful and accommodating. Perla Marina has a great little grocery and outstanding pizzeria too. We will be back to the Dominican Republic and it will be hard to stay elsewhere.

Amazing place with awesome people, great vibe and delicious food.

I’m not even exaggerating. Highly recommend to all people who want to have calm vacation and nice surfing experience.
