Where to stay in Cabarete

Currently at this property. This is my 2nd time here. The hotel sits in a good place to venture out and eat. The far end of the beach has many restaurants near ojos a nice club. Just have some small denomination in dollars to tip and get things done. We had a electrical issue. I tipped 10 bucks and the whole team came. The front desk was very nice and helpful! The room was very nice,slight ant problem in the bathroom and balcony. The room was also on the 3rd floor (ugh) with no elevator. The breakfast was really good at the onsite restaurant. The drinks at the bar were so-so. Very quiet area no real night life or touristy spots. The pool and ocean views were awesome never crowded but no hot tub.

Spent a week here in March 2024 and had an absolute blast. Rooms were clean and in great shape. Our room had AC, not all rooms do - something to keep in mind. Love this place!! It was definitely something different and what a wonderful experience I had. Waking up to a beautiful view of the beach, horseback riding and drinking piña colada while relaxing on the playa!! What more do you need?

Updated facilities. Great location. Beautiful beach. My room card stopped working at 10 pm and their reception was closed. I called many times and no response. Had to climb up my balcony to get in to my own room, or sleep outside. They need to have a safe guard for things like that.

The Hotel is very relaxed and comfortable, 1/4 mile away from the beach and businesses. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. My room was comfy, good bed, it has a top burner (gas powered), small fridge, a sink, microwave, and a/c. I recommend this if you are a bacherlor looking for a nice and quiet spot to relax. P.S. We really liked staying here. The location is 2 blocks off the main drag which can feel a little isolated but we had no issues walking to and from the beach.

VIP Villa has pool inside the villa....the villa itself is a bit run down...but it is a relaxing place to spend a couple days with a pool.

This Villa was very private, off the road Dominican country style, great for groups.

Common areas, we feel like staying in a jungle near the sea

Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast and lunch were solid and very good. The lemonade mint ginger drink was phenomenal. Lovely views of the ocean from the restaurants and yoga shala. The cabanas mostly seemed like a 30 second walk to the beach. Gorgeous beach. Note: if you do a day pass, it is required that you pay in cash for the spa and restaurants to take advantage of the discount

Loved the place, the food and the staff. But walking by the beach a person pointed at us with a shot gun literally less than 2 mins away from the hotel and it was very scary and will not do that walk again - something we really enjoyed as it was the path to Encuentro - a surf spot we love - so keep that in mind if you like to walk in nature around the property.

What a great idea to go here, it really was a spontaneous booking to travel up to Cabarate, but here we found relaxation, romance, great places nearby to eat if we didn't want to eat the hotel food, though there's enough to keep you going if you just want to stay put. Great, rustic place right by the beach in Cabarete. If you get the Ceviche, just make sure the fish has been sufficiently "cured" by the lemon juice. Had to send mine back to get cooked a little extra. I don't do raw or near-raw fish. That said, we still all had a great meal and enjoyed our lunch immensely.

Wow I just loved the peace and quiet, besides the safe and secure area

The closeness to Kite Beach, with Kite Club Cabarete right next to it was great. Where they were really helpful launching and catching the kites. And Kenneth the portier was really helpful taking our luggage to our room, giving us tips on where to eat and where to buy food for the room. If we had any questions he gladly answered them.

Stayed just after hurricane Fiona and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is very modern and comfortable and everything was functioning. Just a couple of constructive comments: you almost had to be a body builder to open the sliding glass door (apparently needed lubricant) in 223. Love this hotel. It's a Cabarete jewel. We've stayed at the Millennium many times. Always beautiful, peaceful, clean and great service. My husband it's a surfer and when he goes to the surfing beach. I can stay on my own and rest at the beach or at the pool. It's the perfect beach for kite surfing too. Next time planning to take some lessons. There is school next door. I highly recommend it.
