Where to stay in Cabarete

This location is in a busy part of the town. My goal was to stay in the resort and relax which I did. I have family in the Dominican Republic and we purchased a stay for them as well. There are not many sidewalks to explore outside of the resort so I do not recommend it as there is quite a bit of thoroughfare which include motorbikes, cars, trucks, etc. Can be a little dangerous. Currently at this property. This is my 2nd time here. The hotel sits in a good place to venture out and eat. The far end of the beach has many restaurants near ojos a nice club. Just have some small denomination in dollars to tip and get things done. We had a electrical issue. I tipped 10 bucks and the whole team came. The hotel was generally quite good. What struck me most was how nice the staff are and how great the entertainers do their job. The shows here are super nice and there is always something new. Oh my goodness!! What a fabulous trip!!! The location was amazing, weather was perfect, food was awesome! The staff were very friendly, Persia, Pablo, and Marabelle were very welcoming and helpful. We ended up upgrading our trip while we were here and didn't expect all of the extra services that were included. Updated facilities. Great location. Beautiful beach. My room card stopped working at 10 pm and their reception was closed. I called many times and no response. Had to climb up my balcony to get in to my own room, or sleep outside. They need to have a safe guard for things like that.

The front desk was very nice and helpful! The room was very nice,slight ant problem in the bathroom and balcony. The room was also on the 3rd floor (ugh) with no elevator. The breakfast was really good at the onsite restaurant. The drinks at the bar were so-so. Very quiet area no real night life or touristy spots. The pool and ocean views were awesome never crowded but no hot tub.

Location of this hotel is excellent right on the ocean and from talking with my client the room prices are very good.

Spent a week here in March 2024 and had an absolute blast. Rooms were clean and in great shape. Our room had AC, not all rooms do - something to keep in mind. Food was great, don’t sleep on the pumpkin soup. Seriously, the chefs know their stuff. Staff were helpful with concerns and property was well maintained. Great first trip to the DR!

Love this place!! It was definitely something different and what a wonderful experience I had. Waking up to a beautiful view of the beach, horseback riding and drinking piña colada while relaxing on the playa!! What more do you need?

When I travel with my family, my main concern is safety, hygiene, comfortability and peace. In my opinion I feel that Cabarete Palm Beach Condos has that and more. they also have a large staff of excellent employee 24/7 to ensure the happiness of the time that people stay there. We have stayed at the palm beach condos for years . It is a great place , wonderful staff, clean, maid service each day-who could ask for more? Will be there again Wednesday for 3 weeks.

We stayed for Thanksgiving vacation and it was incredible! The apartment was clean and cozy and in the best location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. We would definitely go back!

I love going there, the pool and how peaceful it is. Remy helped us with our reservations, he was so professional and soooo helpful answering questions, food suggestions and his service was the best I've ever experienced!

The Hotel is very relaxed and comfortable, 1/4 mile away from the beach and businesses. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. My room was comfy, good bed, it has a top burner (gas powered), small fridge, a sink, microwave, and a/c. I recommend this if you are a bacherlor looking for a nice and quiet spot to relax. P.S. Just a tip**the hotel location on Google maps isn't accurate, you have to walk until the end of the road after turning in where the "El Magnífico" sign is. Otherwise, the place is absolutely paradise. 🤙🏼

We really liked staying here. The location is 2 blocks off the main drag which can feel a little isolated but we had no issues walking to and from the beach.

VIP Villa has pool inside the villa....the villa itself is a bit run down...but it is a relaxing place to spend a couple days with a pool.

The closeness to Kite Beach, with Kite Club Cabarete right next to it was great. Where they were really helpful launching and catching the kites. And Kenneth the portier was really helpful taking our luggage to our room, giving us tips on where to eat and where to buy food for the room. If we had any questions he gladly answered them.

Super conveniently located right in the kite launching spot. The staff is very nice and helpful. Room was spacious enough to manage all the kiting gear. Next to the Kite Beach Club which is a great plus.

I was supposed to be here for just 1 week, and I stayed for 2. Stayed just after hurricane Fiona and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is very modern and comfortable and everything was functioning. Just a couple of constructive comments: you almost had to be a body builder to open the sliding glass door (apparently needed lubricant) in 223. The fact that there was a "toaster oven" instead of a microwave was curious. Not much you can do with the former...

Love this hotel. It's a Cabarete jewel. We've stayed at the Millennium many times. Always beautiful, peaceful, clean and great service. My husband it's a surfer and when he goes to the surfing beach. I can stay on my own and rest at the beach or at the pool. It's the perfect beach for kite surfing too. Next time planning to take some lessons. There is school next door. I highly recommend it.

With full kitchens, AQUA and a 5 minute walk to town, the Millennium trumps any all-inclusive I've ever visited. Certainly doesn't hurt that the amenities are breathtaking and the staff is incredible.

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The advantages are the cheap price, the cleaning which is done everyday, and the nice and easy going owner. I had a mixed experience here. When I arrived, they put me in the wrong room. I booked the Bungalow and they put me in a hotel room. It was not very nice. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom and it had cockroaches in the wall. It was also quite small. The Bungalow I had was much nicer, no issues with that. Loved the place, the food and the staff. But walking by the beach a person pointed at us with a shot gun literally less than 2 mins away from the hotel and it was very scary and will not do that walk again - something we really enjoyed as it was the path to Encuentro - a surf spot we love - so keep that in mind if you like to walk in nature around the property.

What a great idea to go here, it really was a spontaneous booking to travel up to Cabarate, but here we found relaxation, romance, great places nearby to eat if we didn't want to eat the hotel food, though there's enough to keep you going if you just want to stay put. Great, rustic place right by the beach in Cabarete. If you get the Ceviche, just make sure the fish has been sufficiently "cured" by the lemon juice. Had to send mine back to get cooked a little extra. I don't do raw or near-raw fish. That said, we still all had a great meal and enjoyed our lunch immensely.

Wow...where do I start. Fantastic view, great swimming in the ocean (some great waves, and little undertow). Guards are great, makes us feel very safe. If power happens to go out, no problem, backup generator kicks in instantly. This is our 2nd stay at Playa Ventosa, but we will be back......oh ya, 5 minute walk to the largest grocery store in Cabarete (Janet's)
