It mostly depends what you are looking for. For a no frills kite surfing vacationer it's a good place for the money. Even if you come with the family. I'd say that's the great place for kite surfing groups, as soon as there are no folks picky on five star food, drink and entertainment service. Be ready though the hotel electrical grid sometimes runs on the generator, so that if your room is facing...

Absolutely peaceful. Additionally, the staff are friendly and superior in every way. If you are looking for a tranquil getaway, this is the place. The rooms are huge with a kitchenette. The people were so kind, welcoming and accommodating to our very large group which to me makes a hotel special! The location was in the middle of everything (including the beach) and felt very safe. Although we didn’t use the pool due to our schedule, the area is beautiful, breakfast is included (if you paid for that part) and a restaurant is attached so very convenient for us. The location should have been closer to the city. You must have transportation for outside shopping, restaurants, etc. The location is secluded, but nice if you want to just stay in one place. I would recommend Casa Linda for this area.

Everyone made this stay the best one yet. I had no issues and everything went smooth. The shuttle bus was very convenient. And the restaurant had many foods to offer. Pools are very clean and it is a very quite resort.

Stayed this resort with low expectations, and while it did surprise me in some ways, there were enough issues to make me question if I’d return. Let’s start with the positives: the area *looks* a little sketchy at first glance, but it’s actually quite nice once you settle in. We had a great stay! The staff was so nice and professional. Whatever needs we had with our room, they came right away to help. We used their car service to take us to Cabarete and Sousa Beach as welll as for groceries or anything we needed.

The employees here are fantastic. The room I had on the “new” side was small, but clean. I was hoping to be on the “Spanish/older” side because I read that it was quiet, but there were no rooms available. The place itself was ok. Pool area can be very noisy. I do have an issue with payments. You have to pay $160 usd to check in. 25+tax for cleaning. 99+tax for “facilities”. There are no facilities...

Best place to stay in Cabarete. Clean and secure. Close to all of nightlife-al walkable but far enough that it's quiet when you sleep. Landscaping very well manicured and super tropical as you would expect. Pool is amazing as it is adjacent to the ocean. Restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Great drink prices at happy hour. This is not a huge resort and staff is all very friendly and accommodating

Check in: arrived 50 minutes early to check in and staff requested a fee for early check in. Lobby is small, hot with no fans/ac to wait in. Was not offered a place to store bags and grab a bite/drinks. Room: large, but therefore room is hot and does not have a large enough ac unit to cool entire room and bathroom. Bed doughy, pillows lumpy. Bathroom clean, large shower. Beautiful pool and beach...

This place is WOW! It is the nices place in town hands down. It sits right on the beach, has beautiful garden, pool and 2 jacuzzi. It is an apartment hotel. I hot the 1 br without a kitchen. There's a bigger one with fully equipped kitchen and living room, or 2 brm apt also. Security 24/7. Really friendly staff. The noisy street is far and blocked of so only thing you hear are the waves of the ocean...

We’ve been there multiple times. Beautiful and quiet spot, yet a walking distance from all the actions. Staff is amazing. From reading negative reviews; in regards of the cemetery visible from some balconies: balconies are huge and building are round; so you can sit in a different spot and not seeing it. Excellent location for being in the heart of kite surfing!!! Super amiable staff, right next to a couple of beach eateries and in the mix of all kite folks hanging out, really cool even for us wanna be kiters! I especially loved the spotlessly clean room! Great value for this hotel!

The closeness to Kite Beach, with Kite Club Cabarete right next to it was great. Where they were really helpful launching and catching the kites. And Kenneth the portier was really helpful taking our luggage to our room, giving us tips on where to eat and where to buy food for the room. If we had any questions he gladly answered them.

We really liked staying here. The location is 2 blocks off the main drag which can feel a little isolated but we had no issues walking to and from the beach.

VIP Villa has pool inside the villa....the villa itself is a bit run down...but it is a relaxing place to spend a couple days with a pool.

This Villa was very private, off the road Dominican country style, great for groups.

Great location close to the main hub, only minutes away walking. It was very quiet and we all slept well. This unit was on two floors, accessible from the ground floor. It was very spacious and we loved the private BBQ and outdoor dining area. The unit and grounds around the pool were very clean and well maintained. Great value for central cabarete!

Spent in this hotel 4 months - 3 in apartment and 1 in a room. Great botanic garden, great stuff, safe place, nice pool. Room wasn't extra, but it served, apartment was cool - spacious, 2 teraces. The onli minus is internet - always up and down, when raining mostly network not available... if you come here and would like to work, I suggest Claro internet sim, otherwise it will not work.

Very quiet - a rarirty in DR - hotel. AC and I think the hot water worked. Some places say they have hot water... What makes this hotel stand out is that it is close to the main drag and beautiful gardens around the pool for great effect. You will pay less if you don't make reservations. Most places in the DR charge the gringo rate over the internet.

It's like staying in a botanical garden, or a rainforest. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and great pool area. The best part is the not only is it literally across the street from beautiful Cabarete Beach, but it's in the middle of the action. Walking distant to amazing beachfront restaurants. They turn into lounges and dance clubs after the dinner rush. We had so much fun!

Good basic hotel with air conditioning. Bathroom had only soap - no slippers, bath ropes or shampoo. Fills basic necessities. Beach towels from lobby! Nice staff!

Stayed just after hurricane Fiona and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is very modern and comfortable and everything was functioning. Just a couple of constructive comments: you almost had to be a body builder to open the sliding glass door (apparently needed lubricant) in 223. The fact that there was a "toaster oven" instead of a microwave was curious. Not much you can do with the former...

The manager who welcomed us was extremely helpful, friendly, and greeted us with a big smile. Although we were in the villas I'm sure the experience under her management is great.

Excellent hotel, resort and spa. Massage was wonderful. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The kite surfing views are amazing. Over 20 kites in the air at the same time. Amazing!

We just stayed for 4 nights and really like this spot. Perfect for people like me who want to kiteboard while the wife sits by the pool drinking fresh pina coladas. Friendly staff, great onsite restaurant. No complaints.

Love this hotel. It's a Cabarete jewel. We've stayed at the Millennium many times. Always beautiful, peaceful, clean and great service. My husband it's a surfer and when he goes to the surfing beach. I can stay on my own and rest at the beach or at the pool. It's the perfect beach for kite surfing too. Next time planning to take some lessons. There is school next door. I highly recommend it.

Go to Gorditas for food. Walk out to the street and it's to the left 100 feet.

Kite Dreem hotel is a ideal for anyone with a tight budget. It is literally one minute away from the ocean. All basic commodities are offered and the hotel is in walking distance to Cabarete center.

Great hotel. Great value for money. Friendly staff. Just a short walk along the beach to the center of town.

Here's the deal. The place needs maintenance. It looks like it hasn't had any in a while. You have to bring your cooking stuff, matches, frying pan, etc. The AC works fine. Beds are furniture are OK if you're not picky. The rooms are just fine. Cleaned up and everything. For the price, is not that bad, quiet... could be better. The location compensates it a bit 'cause is a good one. Close to everything...

It's pretty good. But nobody tells you that, even though there's a kitchen, there's nothing to cook with. No pan, no sharp knife and not even dish soap in case that you decide to use the shady cups for some water and you just want to make sure that everything is clean. It's in a good area though, and there's a lot of restaurants around. The A/C is excellent and the pool is nice too.

The place was on average. The room was quite big and well furnished with air conditioner. One of the negative aspect is that they do not accept credit card payment. And, more important, the room and the towels were not so clean.

I stayed in this place with two other friends for just one night. We've been really lucky because the hotel was almost empty so they gave us a huge room (with 3 beds, for 5 people). The room is equipped with air conditioning (not so common in the Dominican Republic) and hot water (very rare as well). However, the room wasn't so clean and the breakfast room was quite dirty too. Nevertheless, on average...

Very small and cozy. Has a security door and guard with dogs on premises. Pool is clean and rooms are relatively spacious. My only complaint is the rooms are bright and the walls are thin. You will be woken up very early unless you are a very heavy sleeper.

A fine place with a few hick ups. The property was overall great. Service was outstanding. The kitchen extractor in my apartment didn’t work. That was the only problem. Another issue, they show a very nice gym as available on the property for use by guests. However, when you ask the staff to use the gym, they say it is for the owners only. Why are they posting pictures of the gym if one cannot use...

Beautiful property but for a luxury property I would have expected better amenities. No blow dryer in either bathroom ( you had to request). No amenities in the kitchen, not even salt. Resturant food was excellent but very limited. It is suppose to be a combination of hotel and apartment but falls a bit short

The staff is extremely kind. The property itself needs updating. My room smelled of cigarettes upon arrival. There was no hot water. The WiFi is not great. The staff is wonderful.

I enjoyed my stay at Ultravioleta. The staff was polite and very accommodating. The apartment was modern and clean with an ocean view. Very close to restaurants grocery store and beach.. only downside was the construction but was aware before booking.. definitely will revisit

Overall I had a great stay. The staff was so nice and the property was beautiful. My only thing is the ac in the room was not strong and it was very hot to sleep at night. Besides that, it was great. Food and drinks were great and the beach was so nice and clean.

This was one of the most peaceful, beautiful and amazing experiences I’ve had. This hotel was a 10 out of 10! The staff was exceptional!!! I can’t wait for my next stay!

We LOVED this property and hope to stay there again! The ONLY issue we had is with trash/litter … the property itself is very clean but the areas around the property have litter & trash and even some on the beaches and sand areas in front of the property. I think this is a constant battle for them, but it would help if there were more trash cans for the public! Other than that we can’t say enough great...

Food was not good at all. Weather on our particular weekend didn’t help. It was raining tons and the flooding made our stay miserable. Property needs to pay attention to breakfast and humidity in the room and ceiling leakages while raining.

Location of this hotel is excellent right on the ocean and from talking with my client the room prices are very good.

Nice French couple runs the place they have two dogs which are also friendly. Place is quite with a great view close to both sosua and Cabarete. Bunch of great restaurants near by. Loved staying here I recommend it and will visit again. Just don’t be afraid of dogs

This B&B is the one of the best I've ever been to. The flats are lovely furnished, quite big and clean. On the terrace you find a nice pool with a stunning view to nothing but beautiful nature. Additionally the owners just want the best for you and your trip. They picked us up from the bus stop. Called local agencies to make sure that we get the best price. And the breakfast is more than recommendable...

Having visited this B and B we have to say this is the best ever. Extremely clean, nice design and lovely furniture. The owners are super at hosting (fresh fruit, flowers etc.) and go a far way to give you a good experience. We had a fantastic private/romantic dinner at the pool. The host George is a cook from France...and Maria is allover the place to give you a unforgettable stay. A bargain to...
