Water quite clean, but also a lot of floating particles due to strong waves, not very clear water, only walk about 50m further in, nice surf, which can sometimes be violent, beach is very suitable for walking, walk in both directions of the book approx

The hotel sits in a good place to venture out and eat. The far end of the beach has many restaurants near ojos a nice club. Just have some small denomination in dollars to tip and get things done

I tipped 10 bucks and the whole team came. Check in was smooth just tip and they will give you a little more attention. The beach can be choppy due to winds. 1 bar which close at midnight

Weekends have many locals with a lot of kids. You cannot stream from TV or your personal firestick. The inter cannot handle the stream. You could do it from phone but it will lag. Otherwise the hotel is nice and cozy

One of the best beach in the carribean

My only complaint are the rooms are not exactly soundproof so you can hear people outside your room especially when they bang the door in the middle of the night or go back to their rooms when they are extremely inebriated

Great, rustic place right by the beach in Cabarete. If you get the Ceviche, just make sure the fish has been sufficiently "cured" by the lemon juice. Had to send mine back to get cooked a little extra

Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast and lunch were solid and very good. The lemonade mint ginger drink was phenomenal. Lovely views of the ocean from the restaurants and yoga shala

But walking by the beach a person pointed at us with a shot gun literally less than 2 mins away from the hotel and it was very scary and will not do that walk again - something we really enjoyed as it was the path to Encuentro - a surf spot we love - so keep that in mind if you like to walk in nature around the property

The cabanas mostly seemed like a 30 second walk to the beach. Note: if you do a day pass, it is required that you pay in cash for the spa and restaurants to take advantage of the discount

What a great idea to go here, it really was a spontaneous booking to travel up to Cabarate, but here we found relaxation, romance, great places nearby to eat if we didn't want to eat the hotel food, though there's enough to keep you going if you just want to stay put

Enjoy a massage or exercise if you like. What a treat in a retreat! Would definitely visit again. Reception has the sweetest lady Rosa or Rose, she is a great start to the trip

And anytime I had a problem/need/request (how the dishwasher works? How can I get tested? I need extra towels!!) I picked up the phone, and right away they solved it

Beautiful resort directly in front of Kite Beach in Cabarete

The service was five star in our visit and we can’t wait to go back. We also learned that Kite Beach is famous for windsurfing, attracting a lot of foreigners who practice the sport because of the waves

The apartment we got was amazing: every detail was perfect (for example, in the kitchen I could find every single pan and utensils I needed), super clean, and the terrace with jacuzzi on the rooftop was a dream

This spot is a gem! There is secure, gated parking on premises, the rooms facing the water have panoramic windows and views of the ocean and are big enough to accommodate a family and then some

I gave it a shot and it was a workout but it was fun. This resort is also centrally located among many outside restaurants and clubs that are in the area and close to Puerto Plata airport

Excellent place to stay and have a good time. The whole hotel is cozy and well decorated. I love the view and the proximity to the beach.

Really nice and quiet. Staff is really nice. Downside is they don’t have access to the beach, but it’s a short walk away.

The hotel itself is located at the beginning (or end) of the main strip of Cabarete. The beach was clean and we were never bothered by vendors as the hotel beach is blocked by rocks and barricades

I booked Velero Beach Resort for a bachelorette weekend with my girlfriends. The resort offered a penthouse suite that was well-priced and accommodating

Great place, has a really nice pool. The rooms are comfortable despite the fact the AC is located in the entrance of the room, it’s fine. The only thing missing is the fact you don’t have a beach near you

- the Main entrance was under maintenance after we’ve arrived, which wasn’t very comfortable. Overall : recommended for a quiet stay with a nice pool

Great hotel, Close to the beach and to town, but far enough away so you don't hear the noise at night. Tom and Renee are amazing hosts and will go out of there way to ensure you have everything you need

This place was so beautiful! 2 mins walk from the beach, with all the amenities - drinking water, AC, laundry etc

The complex is private, clean, quiet and perfectly accomodating. The walking distance from the beach and private pool makes it a dreamy place to vacation

The cafe on the beach has the most delicious food and drinks, watch out for a happy hour! The food is so fresh. Wilson was my instructor and I surpassed the level I arrived in Dominican at within a few hours

Agualina makes being here easy. The people are great and the lawn out front is great for keeping the kites clean. Beach access couldn’t be much better either

If you want somewhere quiet and right on the beach, you have found the right place. The staff are helpful and speak english

We stayed at Agualina Kite Resort a few weeks ago in January and it was an amazing place to stay. We had an Air BnB there and it was well equipped with a balcony with an ocean view and a water jug in the room

This little gem is situated off the main road into Cabarete so it's easy to find. There is a petrol station just up the road and a few small shops just outside

My room card stopped working at 10 pm and their reception was closed. I called many times and no response. Had to climb up my balcony to get in to my own room, or sleep outside

If you don’t want to see it at all; talk to the staff and they will recommend you rooms that don’t have a view on it

It is a hidden gem nearby cabarete “main beach”. you have a 5-10 min walk to all the restaurants and bars there

We’ve been there multiple times. Beautiful and quiet spot, yet a walking distance from all the actions

We stayed at El Magnifico twice. The room was really nice, great location, by the beach, with nice ocean and garden views. Vanessa was very helpful and helped us renting a car at a very attractive price

I don’t like noise, fuss and drama and we don't ask for much just peace. There is a pool and a beautiful jacuzzi and the beach is right there as well

You can take a long nap and absolutely nothing happens to your stuff or you at the beach! It's close to the center of the beach town a good 20 mins walk on the beach to where the kite surfers and regulars restuarants / shops

We felt like the beach area is so reserved for us at this resort

This locations is excellent if you looking for peace and quite! I really enjoy the hospitality and how the resort workers cater to your needs. Very low key no heavy party nor feeling insecure

There are 2 pools, an infinity pool next to the ocean, and a regular pool in the middle of the resort. The infinity pool was a great place to watch the surf. Beach was pretty, but hard to swim because of surf and rocks

We left our stuff at the pool area with the sense of security and return nothing missing! Also so far away from the street vendors and heavy public foot traffic which is a plus

Super conveniently located right in the kite launching spot. The staff is very nice and helpful. Room was spacious enough to manage all the kiting gear. Next to the Kite Beach Club which is a great plus.

The place is right on kite Beach club and perfect for kitesurfers, there are options for several types of apartments. I was supposed to be here for just 1 week, and I stayed for 2

good peeps and super chill neighbourhood! This is great place to enjoy the Caribbean and chill! Good surf almost every morning and a huge beach to launch a kite in the afternoon breeze! The river 5 mins down the road is epic for kiting so if you like to ride this might be the place for you! 🤘

My girlfriend and I were excited to be hosted by Peggy at Brisas Doradas, the place is out of the beaten path yet secure. The beach is a 2min walk away and you can get to town in a zinch

I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for more of a hotel to stay at rather than a resort. Nice and close to Cabarete's beautiful beach

Amazing place, really good value for your money and close to everything, Digby and Anna are excellent hosts and Anna's breakfast are just what you need to get you started in the day, the rooms are clean and well kept, you can also enjoy the pool in overall a place that makes you want to come back

Peggy had some awesome food recommendations of places to visit (yum. she has some cool spots but I will not spoil the surprise) She also made us delicious breakfast which was a great way to start our daily adventures

Stayed at the penthouse LG Surf Camp and Luciano is great! Enjoyed every minute of the stay.

Many beaches nearby We visited more than 7 beaches nearby including the one in our marine pearl complex. There are beaches for all tastes around, either with waves like the one at El Encuentro, Perla Marina

There is such a calming energy in this place) the perfect combination with the local wild Atlantic beach) I personally love it)

It LOOKS nice at first glance though and I respect the owner for doing dog rescue. There are so many dogs that roam the streets and beach here

The front borders a busy road, and isn't particularly appealing from the outside, but the rooms and bungalows are set further back in an oasis from the busy area. The owner is very friendly and accommodating

I recommend this place ☺️ The owner is good man who helps injured dogs. You can meet calm nice dog in reception so don't worry ☺️. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice people

Room: Condition is always good not humidity with pan. Wide Glass window allowed to enter sunshine brightly. You have small kitchen/ refrigerator so you can cook in room. It's so comfortable enviroment for holiday
