Excellent price, friendly and helpful staff. We booked on AirBNB. Stayed one night. A/C, hot water, television. Small room, moderately comfortable bed (we were exhausted), and well cleaned. Great location, and super picturesque spot. Stairs are narrow and uneven, but for the price, who cares?
Hotel Guarocuya was great, you cant ask for a lot since your getting what you paid for. If your planning on been out all day and go on tours then this is your place just to have a place to spend a night. bathroom didnt have a door and the shower didnt have a curtain but who really cares about this small things, bed is ok, ac unit was good, hot water and everything seem to work ok. Place has potential, cheap price and in a great location; however, it needs some work. Our sheets had to be changed after check in, bath did not have water pressure. They did mention that they are still remodeling so it may be better with time. Update: The manager refunded us our money without asking due to the issues.

Isabel is a wondeful host who will do everything she can to make you comfortable.
I spent a week there. The accommodation is very well located in the heart of the Zona Colonial. There are many shops and restaurants and some museums ... people are very hospitable, friendly and warm. The room I chose was very clean and air conditioned, the building secure. The neighborhood is very quiet at night. I thank Angela and her family for giving me so kindly. Thank you again for your hospitality...
Excellent location, near Colón Park (600 m) and near Calle El Conde. Congratulations to the owner for the good treatment and quick response to questions via mail. The only thing I would recommend would be a better shower system as the water temperature changed drastically during the shower and there was a musty smell, maybe a room freshener would be helpful. However, I say that it is a good option
The service and attention of the owners is spectacular. They were always willing to help with any minor detail. The AC worked great and the showers were hot. It is centrally located (right off of El Conde) yet it is not a party hotel and the rooms themselves were very isolated from the noise of the street. I highly recommend this hostal!
Larisa our maid gave us excellent attention, she was a crucial piece to have a good stay, the place was clean, with air conditioning, TV, we only had small inconveniences those days because it was the rainy season and there were brief power cuts, therefore the shower water was cold. This is a nice hotel. The staff is very nice the breakfast is good. If you speak Spanish then you can communicate easily. Fyi no safe in the room.
This hotel is clean and has a friendly staff. Language is a barrier if you don’t know Spanish. Rooms are just that, smaller size with cramped bathroom space. Close to the Condi and different restaurants.
Clean and comfortable for the price. Free breakfast included: fresh juice, coffee, eggs with ham and toast. Nice pool area, accessible through the kitchen. Free wifi. Recently raised the rate to $1900 PD. Right on Avenida Bolivar near Parque Independecia/Telemicro. Can be quite noisy with barking dogs, street noise and construction but this is normal for this part of town. Off and on "hot" water....

I recently stayed here and I have to say, the experience was less than satisfactory. The hotel is severely outdated with the pain peeling and the structure chipping away. The most frustrating part was getting locked out of my room multiple times due to the door lock jamming. It often took 2 to 3 staff members to come up and try to open the door. The room was comfortable, but a bit outdated. Honestly, the room could use some eorh. all in all perhaps we would stay a second time if we could possibly have a room in better condition.

It is incredible to see so much kindness in all its employees. This hotel is very familiar and they care a lot about the guests to give them the best of themselves. Without a doubt, I would stay again.
During my stay, I noticed a lot of work/repairs ongoing and I will adjust my commets accordingly. The room was clean very comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to shopping and groceries. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were impressive compared to other locations I've visited.
The property is in a great need of restoration. There is no AC in hallways, no hot water in shower and lots of humidity in hallways.

Great location in the middle of everything. It was walking distance to the malecón. Very affordable and nice small boutique hotel reminiscent of hotels in small towns in Spain and Italy. The workers were very friendly. If your looking for somewhere affordable and cozy this is it.
