Excellent price, friendly and helpful staff. We booked on AirBNB. Stayed one night. A/C, hot water, television. Small room, moderately comfortable bed (we were exhausted), and well cleaned. Great location, and super picturesque spot. Stairs are narrow and uneven, but for the price, who cares?

Hotel Guarocuya was great, you cant ask for a lot since your getting what you paid for. Place has potential, cheap price and in a great location; however, it needs some work. Our sheets had to be changed after check in, bath did not have water pressure. They did mention that they are still remodeling so it may be better with time. Update: The manager refunded us our money without asking due to the issues.

I spent a week there. The accommodation is very well located in the heart of the Zona Colonial. There are many shops and restaurants and some museums ... people are very hospitable, friendly and warm. The room I chose was very clean and air conditioned, the building secure. Excellent location, near Colón Park (600 m) and near Calle El Conde. Congratulations to the owner for the good treatment and quick response to questions via mail. The only thing I would recommend would be a better shower system as the water temperature changed drastically during the shower and there was a musty smell, maybe a room freshener would be helpful. However, I say that it is a good option

The service and attention of the owners is spectacular. They were always willing to help with any minor detail. The AC worked great and the showers were hot. It is centrally located (right off of El Conde) yet it is not a party hotel and the rooms themselves were very isolated from the noise of the street. I highly recommend this hostal!

Great location in the middle of everything. It was walking distance to the malecón. Very affordable and nice small boutique hotel reminiscent of hotels in small towns in Spain and Italy. The workers were very friendly. If your looking for somewhere affordable and cozy this is it.

Overall good, but! I originally booked a suite, when we got the suite we checked everything and the closets had a moldy smell, they had us go to all available suites and they had the same issue. Ended up in a smaller room that was fine. Everyone was really nice and helpful, food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. I will stay again.

The location of the hotel is OK, it takes about a few minutes to walk to the supermarket. The service attitude of the hotel is relatively poor, and the waitress at the front desk has a very dark face. The smoke exhaust system in the hotel restaurant is very poor, and you will smell of oil smoke when you eat breakfast.

Nice place, comfortable beds. Everything is old but fubctions well. Breakfast is included. Great value overall. Overall, would highly recommend. As a frum jew staying for Shabbos they can either get you a room with a physical key or they'll have someone available all times to open your door for you. So that's super helpful. And its simple directions from Chabad.

Great hotel. Nice and quiet until night time. Club music down below is thumping but it didn't bother me. Make sure you count your bath towels. There was a misunderstanding about bath towels given but no problem. I would stay again.

My fiancee and I stayed here for 5 days and we couldn't be any happier!!! The front desk guys, Iftali and Eric were absolute angels!!! Security guys out of this world! Shout out to Catorce!!! It was my fiancees' first time in the country and he is completely in love with my country!! Definitely a pleasurable stay for the money!!! Can't ask for more!!

I highly recommend this hotel. Room are big, clean, A/C blows very cold. and I always had ht water. wifi worked flawlessly. perfect location for 2 banks a block away.

5 mins walk to Expresso bavaro station. Close to fast food, supermarket and metro (less than 5 min walk). Spacious room, had decent internet connectivity.

Very good and affordable place to stay. Big rooms and the internet and facilities work fine. Staff are friendly and efficient The only negative thing is that they turn off the air conditioner in the afternoon and then you have to call them to turn it on again. You can't beat the location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms we're what we expected. With the location comes the noise; especially weekends and at 7:30am with the leaf blowers. Amazing modern and immaculate hotel located right along Columbus Square. Staff truly made you feel welcomed and restaurant on first floor were top notch. So glad my wife found this hotel on Expedia. Bedding and bathrooms were excellent with a shower better than most JW and high end Hilton hotels. Highly recommended for travelers.

I loved the hotel and the staff Jose Antonio ( Front desk) was amazing and cordial. This is a great location, near everything, I liked the restaurant downstairs. I would say that if you like going to sleep early, just know that, they have live music downstairs, that was not an issue for me I loved it.

I had the opportunity to visit the DR for 5 days and stayed at this hotel. The hotel was nice for the area and my room was mostly comfortable. I had room #11, which had a balcony overlooking El Conde street. The location was excellent for the Zona Colonial area, with plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. There were plenty of police and military in the area, which made me feel safe coming and...

Fair price for the service. Overall it lives up to the expectations. They have all necessary in rooms. Unfortunately, my AC got broken and woke up at 3 am because of extreme heat in my room. Staff was friendly and tried to fix right away. They refused to provide me with another suite until ac will be fixed. In order to make it up they gave me fans which did not really change anything. This is basically a family hotel. Located in a quiet area, nice constructed hotel with a wide range of beds and very affordable. You have your tv and internet and breakfast included in all the rooms. Environment is clean and the workers are very nice.

It was very good. They make you feel like home. If you need special food accommodations they will do there best to make sure you eat what you like. My mom and I are enjoying our stay. 3.5 stars

No pool, no ocean view though its only 500 meters from the oceanfront drive, and it is central to everthing you might need such as...restos...supermarket..colmado...

Good place to eat with a wonderful upstairs view on the "Malecon" (good sea view) ... The ratio Price/service could have been better.

The Hotel is 3 star,but the staff is 5 star. The restaurant/bar will have you reluctant to leave. Jose and Maria treat you like family.

Location! Location! Location! Very well located. Beautiful ocean views. Only stayed here for a night but it was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Room was spacious and quite considering all the street level noise the Malecon offers. Yes there are more luxurious places you can stay in Santo Domingo, but at this price point you can’t go wrong.

City hotel. Special for tourists who like to do city tourism.

This hotel is ideally located smack in the middle of the colonial district. The rooms are small and I wasn't a fan of the two single beds I got. Also upon arrival there was human hair on both beds and in the bathroom so I'm happy I brought extra towels to put on the pillow to sleep on. The scent in the bathroom intermittently was not pleasant even when you stepped outside of the room. It seem the carpets...

Location is perfect. Customer experience is good depending on who at the desk. Some didn't smile at all. Secured with security and be aware you cannot have a guest unless you are willing to pay $30 additional USD not DOP. They will also need to have ID to be scanned for their records and regardless if they are coming up for 30 seconds or over an hour you will have to pay the fee per guest each time...

We had a snag checking in. We were a large group, and everyone's passport needed to be scanned whether they paid or not. Toom super long. Nevertheless, the hotel was very clean, great location in El Conde. Very affordable and will stay again.

Great hotel in the heart of Santo Domingo, just one block from Parque Colón. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is very friendly and always ready to assist with any questions about the area. There's also a supermarket just one block away, which is super convenient. I highly recommend using Uber for transportation rather than the taxis waiting outside...
