Everything about Dive Urge was fantastic. Great place and staff!
Just the right distance from the main town.
Youstina and Ben, the dive instructors, were very safe, helpful, and fun to dive with.
If you are not certain which place to go, please trust a strange person leaving a review saying... go to Dive Urge.

I did not stay there but booked 3 days diving with them. I had a wonderful time !! All the team is super friendly. Resort is super nice and they also have a nice restaurant on the beach with good food and drinks. I recommend this place !! Thanks for the great diving ! I will come back !

We spent two amazing weeks at Dive Urge, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The diving was fantastic – with a beautiful house reef right on the doorstep and excellent guides (Youstina and Ben) who made every dive safe, fun, and unforgettable.

The team went above and beyond: manager Attwa was always helpful, and Hameed not only drove us but also snorkelled with our son and even cooked for us under the desert stars during the Bedouin meal – a real highlight!

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and peaceful, with shady hammocks in the garden for relaxing between dives. The airport transfer was seamless too.

Food Urge, the on-site restaurant, was equally brilliant. We ate there every day – fresh, delicious food with breakfast pancakes, smoothies, and sandwiches that became family favourites. Atwar worked tirelessly, always with a smile, and remembered everyone’s preferences – his service was outstanding.

Between the diving, the food, and the incredible hospitality, Dive Urge and Food Urge made our trip truly special. Highly recommended!

My family and I spent two wonderful weeks at Dive Urge, and it truly felt like a home away from home. This family-run boutique hotel offers everything you could wish for if you’re looking for a relaxing stay combined with incredible diving and snorkelling. We booked a dive package and also made the most of the beautiful house reef right on the doorstep. The dive guides, Youstina and Ben, were outstanding – knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly patient with me since it had been a long time since my last dive. Thanks to them, I felt confident again and got to experience some amazing dive sites, including the iconic Bells at the Blue Hole. The manager, Attwa, deserves a special mention for always being so warm and helpful. He arranged taxis for us with Hameed, who not only drove us but also doubled as the dive driver. Hameed’s friendliness, local knowledge, and passion for the sea made every journey enjoyable. He even snorkelled alongside my son on the house reef, pointing out fascinating marine life – a highlight for him! One of the most memorable experiences of our stay was the Bedouin meal included in the package. We were driven out into the desert canyons, where we enjoyed a wonderful cooked meal under the stars – with Hameed once again multi-tasking as a chef. It was an unforgettable evening that made the trip feel even more special. The hotel rooms were excellent: air-conditioned, with fridges, plenty of storage, and fresh bottled water provided daily. We especially appreciated how peaceful it was – the garden area with shady hammocks was perfect for unwinding between dives. The stay also included a complimentary airport shuttle, which was brilliantly efficient and made arriving and departing completely stress-free. We ate at Food Urge during our stay (I’ve reviewed that separately), and it was equally brilliant. All in all, Dive Urge offers incredible value, genuine hospitality, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a super-friendly place to dive, snorkel, and relax in paradise, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful rooms decorated with extra thought to comfort, quality mattress, air con and soft linen, set in a pretty courtyard and a stones throw from the best snorkeling around at Eel Garden.
Dive school is on site and we can recommend them due to their attention to our safety and pleasure.
Dive guides Youstina & Ben both went above and beyond to ensure they kept each dive fresh, interesting and varied, spotting the smallest underwater creatures.
There are so many choices in Dahab, but after 4 weeks of diving - we are glad we chose Dive Urge.

We have just spent 10 very relaxing days here and would love to return. Having breakfast on the private beach was an amazing way to start the day, and there were a large variety of restaurants very close if we wished to eat elsewhere in the evenings. The rooms themselves were clean, had good facilities and were cool. The hammock and Bedouin areas were a good place to chill out if you did not wish to sit on the beach and the whole place was very peaceful. Ben and Youstina were our dive leaders, and were very thoughtful about our dive needs and wishes, making sure we visited a variety of sights. Youstina was very thorough taking our son through his PADI Advanced Open Water. The Bedouin meal in the desert allowed us to experience the silence of the desert, including a Birthday cake under the stars………..awesome. The staff and guides were always friendly without being intrusive. Atwa, who runs the restaurant was always there to assist us. We had the pleasure of staying with Lynne & Helal and their great team in February. It was a very nice time and we felt very well looked after by Attwar & Team, who always had an open ear for questions and always helped with information & tips. Islam & Hisham and their team cooked delicious meals - we are still dreaming of breakfast on the beach.

Youstina dived with us and showed us wonderful places. We were very lucky to have her as our dive guide. All dives in small groups.

The Dive Urge is in a perfectly quiet location - away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to the centre of Dahab. In addition to the good cuisine on the premises, there are also good restaurants within walking distance and there is no lack of variety.

My second stay with Dive-Urge was just as fantastic as the first, and I can't wait to go back. You can do lots of nearby dive sites with their jeep to see eye-popping fish & coral. The instructors are the greatest- I've done PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water there. The staff cannot do enough to help you and the food is freshly prepared. It's stunningly peaceful. Being served breakfast on the private beach is magical. I've found my paradise.

We had an amazing week at Dive Urge! The location is perfect, it’s within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops, while being a quiet area for those looking for a peaceful nights sleep. Lynne, Helal and all the team are so friendly and always happy to help. We really felt at home, so much so we stayed an extra night! The rooms were clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Atwa went out of his way to check on us throughout our stay - always with a smile. The diving was fantastic, Youstina and Ben are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. We are still relatively new to diving, and the extra guidance they gave has really helped us build on our skills and confidence. If you’re not a diver, there’s incredible snorkelling directly in front of Dive Urge’s beach. Hameed’s mountain dinner is also a must - the food and tea is delicious. We highly recommend Dive Urge and will definitely be back in future :)
