Reviews
Spacious new rooms, perfect level of cleanliness, good food and drinks quality, friendly staff in bars, but the beach was not good and the swimming pools could be cleaner .. Highly recommended, and we may come back again
A big plus for the Atlantik Diving Center! You can arrange all kinds of diving on site, mega professional service I recommend. Personally, I didn't notice them imposing when we were relaxing and on the contrary I had to hook them myself as I had a red ribbon.
Unfortunately a bit boring and repetitive menu. The food was not bad. The wine I had the impression was diluted with water served only with meals in the restaurant, so we spent a little extra as we bought some and a bottle of wine is $24-35. Beer actually poured half way down the glass for drinks more foam than beer. The gentleman at the bar was annoyed that I was going up for the 3rd time at dinner to get a beer because by the time I got to the table there was nothing left to drink.
WiFi a disaster, even paid for works poorly only in the room and in the lobby outside these areas zero.
I will definitely come back if only to dive, I hope that with food and wine it will be better.
The staff is attentive and strives to meet guests' needs, ensuring a pleasant stay. The beach is spacious, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available. The water entry is gentle, making it easy to swim near the shore. However, the reef at the end of the pier is not particularly impressive, especially when the wind is weak.
The food is the hotel's weakest aspect. Throughout the stay, there were limited options, with the only decent choice being freshly made pasta with tomato sauce. Lunch options were particularly lacking, with only five dishes available. The food was often bland and undercooked, although breakfasts were slightly better. The beach bar offers fast food options to fill the hunger gap during the day.
The hotel's location is remote, offering little in terms of nearby attractions. However, it's ideal for those seeking a relaxing getaway. The SPA area receives praise for its excellent beauty treatments and massages.
In summary, while the hotel isn't deserving of a 5-star rating, I'd stretch to give it a 4-star rating. It's a decent option, albeit a bit pricey for what it offers.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotless, equipped with efficient air conditioning. Each room includes a kettle, refrigerator, and a set for making coffee and tea. The supply of mineral water was replenished daily (typically 2 bottles of 1.5L and 4 bottles of 0.5L, with additional bottles provided upon request).
While the free internet connection was inconsistent, having an alternative like a local SIM card is advisable.
The meals, both breakfast and lunch, were somewhat repetitive but offered a wide variety of choices, ensuring everyone could find something they liked (our picky-eater children particularly enjoyed the daily pancakes and cereal with milk at breakfast). Dinners were more varied, featuring new dishes each night, live cooking station, and outdoor grill. Additionally, between lunch and dinner, the poolside bar served snacks such as fries, pizza, and some meat. For an extra fee, ice cream ($2) and popcorn ($1) were also available. The all-inclusive option included a wide selection of quality drinks, available at both the pool bars and the main building.
The hotel staff was fantastic – extremely friendly, helpful, and always smiling.
The beach was clean, with a pier from which you could snorkel among beautiful, colorful fish. The variety of fish was even greater than on dedicated snorkeling excursions. Midway along the pier, stairs descended into water approximately 50-80 cm deep, allowing entry regardless of conditions at the end of the pier, where a red flag was often displayed.
The hotel grounds included a medical office, pharmacy, and a small but well-stocked market. This market offered beach gear, cosmetics, toys, and souvenirs. Vodafone SIM cards were also available, with various internet packages ranging from 4GB for 15 EUR to 40GB for 45 EUR.
The hotel also featured a spa/beauty center, offering a variety of massages and treatments for an additional fee, or even fun "rasta" hairstyles.
A highlight of our stay was the fantastic animation team, Lola Animation Team, which provided high-quality evening entertainment. Every day at 8:30 PM, there was a mini disco for kids, followed by diverse shows at 9 PM in the amphitheater. These included breathtaking fire shows, occasionally terrifying fakir acts, circus performances, whirling dervishes, belly dancing, games, and quizzes. Everything was conducted in an incredibly cheerful and engaging manner.
For families with school-aged children, I highly recommend guided trip to the nearby town of El-Quseir. It’s a chance to see that Egypt is not only about beautiful hotels, stunning beaches, and incredible coral reefs. In this oldest town on the Red Sea, you can witness real Egyptian city life and understand why Egyptians appreciate even small tips.
In summary, the main advantages of the Lazuli Hotel are:
- Well-maintained surroundings with a beautiful garden and clean pools
- Spacious, clean rooms and a private beach with the opportunity to snorkel among colorful fish
- Fantastic staff
- High-quality evening shows in the amphitheater by Lola Animation Team
Main drawbacks:
- Sometimes not thoroughly cleaned glasses/cups in the restaurant and pool bars
- Unstable free internet
