Praktik Vinoteca

There are several Praktik Hotels in Barcelona and this one was a great location if you want to be 10-25 minute walk from most major tourist attractions.

The rooms are compact and this may throw some travellers off. But it was perfect for me. I stayed here for five days. I had several interactions with the staff and they are wonderful! Full of suggestions and eager to make sure your stay is delightful.

The wines they have available were moderate to high quality and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I even used the laundry service and it was fast and moderately priced (dropped it off the night before and it was returned to me by 6pm the next day).

The only design flaw in the room, the shower door doesn't keep the water from dripping onto the floor. So I just had to make sure a towel was strategically placed.

The only suggestion: find a way to make the wine tasting experience available for solo travellers

Check-in and check-out was smooth, counter staff were friendly. Had a corner room facing inwards the building so it was quiet and peaceful and you can't hear any other guests apart from the occasional shutting of doors. Location is excellent, just a few minutes away from major shopping areas and plenty of highly-rated restaurants around. There's a bus stop just right out front. They provide a water bottle for refill at the ground floor lounge which I thought tasted quite weird (might be from the filter), but the lounge was a nice space to chill at. Only gripe was that the shower water would leak out onto the floor despite the shower door being shut pretty tight. Would recommend this hotel to others!

It was a great way to get aquatinted with the city of Barcelona. Intimate hotel, love the environmental awareness, amazing service. Would highly recommend, if you don’t mind having a more intimate room and experience.
The breakfast was a great way to get our days started without the hassle of finding a place to eat.

Excellent hotel, beautifully located. Fantastic and friendly service. I wish rooms were a bit larger, but the price/value ratio is excellent. Will sure stay here again next time I visit Barcelona.

Small boutique hotel with easy access to everything you want to see in Barcelona! Rooms are minimalist but very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. They offer a breakfast (for purchase) that was delicious every morning and a nice patio/dining area to eat. Fresh juice, croissants, bread, ham, cheese, hard boiled eggs, and fruit. We were able to walk to most things we wanted to see. The train stations are about a 30 minute walk or it is very easy to catch a taxi outside the hotel. The metro around Barcelona is also fantastic and there are many close options. We felt safe and comfortable here, would recommend!!

We stayed at the Hotel in early April for 3 nights. The rooms are a bit small and our room was noisy the first night which was a Friday. However, the staff were accommodating in moving us and staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location in L'eixample was very handy to the Gothic Quarter and generally central with its own buzz. We would recommend the hotel as good value and would stay again on another visit.

Small boutique hotel and you feel like friends. Alex, Irene both of them and Tomas were always welcoming and friendly. Helpful in every way possible. The wine tasting experience is also very good and informative. The location is perfect. The rooms are very nice and clean. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was nice.
Highly recommend this hotel.

There terrace was a great place to sit at the end of a long day of sightseeing having wine and visiting with other travellers. Can’t say enough about how kind Alex and Irene from reception were. Always had tips and recommendations and would take the time to chat. Always greeting us as we came and went. Housekeeping and the breakfast staff did an excellent job and always greeted us with a smile.

I had a wonderful stay at Praktik Vinoteca. The hotel is centrally located in a vibrant neighborhood and close to great restaurants and shopping. The staff was extremely friendly. Big thanks to Tomas at the front desk, who went out of his way to make our group feel welcome. We had a lovely time with good wine and laughs on the beautiful terrace as we winded down each night during our stay. Five star hospitality. Will definitely return.

This is a clean and classy hotel and the staff are excellent. I would happily stay at this hotel again, but i do have a few notes:

- the rooms are small. great for one person or a couple.

- the shower does not have a privacy window. while it is separate from the toilet, there’s no way to walk to the toilet without seeing someone naked if they’re showering. keep that in mind when you’re booking for you and a friend or even a family member.

*these are not complaints! just things to consider when making your booking :)
