GHT Maritim

Myself and my daughter spent 6 nights at the Maritim mid April. I booked this hotel as we stayed in GHT Balmes last August so I knew that GHT was a good hotel chain and was confident booking with them again. Upon arrival the lovely receptionist upgraded our room without me even asking. We had a sea view and view of the lighthouse which me and my daughter loved to watch at night time. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been any better. Right on top of everything without it being too loud. Food was varied and plentiful. My daughter really enjoyed breakfast as they served pancakes, waffles , churros etc. the hotel was very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. there was no entertainment or kids activities at this hotel but I was aware that it was very early in the season and perhaps that was why, however upon leaving I did ask about kids club, entertainment etc during peak summer time as we would definitely like to visit again due to the fantastic location and it overall being a nice hotel but it was explained to me they have a live singer 3 nights a week but no kids entertainment. So families with kids bare this in mind if you were hoping to have on site entertainment. This hasn’t put us off returning as we had a really lovely stay, I would just prepare better for the evenings knowing that we will have to find our own activities to do. Whilst Balmes was aimed more for children the Maritim in my opinion is in a far better location so I guess it’s down to what you are personally looking for in a holiday.

great hotel on great place. everything was perfect,from room,food and people and workers in hotel are so polite and nice. on the top you have pool and beautiful view on beach. hotel is close to beach. for me is the best in calella. also on reception you can got information and pay excurtion if you interested in,in my case i was in barcelona. great expiriance and always in my heart.

A fantastic hotel and staff were really friendly and helpful and served with a smile. It is at the perfect location from the beach, city and food. Restaurant staff were exceptional. Very proactive and always available for help. They always provided a highchair for my toddler before we had to ask, and the breakfast buffet selection was my favourite part of our stay. The hotel facilities were also amazing and the cleaners were excellent and so friendly.

Lovely clean and modern hotel.
We would definitely stay again. Although rooms are small it’s cosy and has everything you need ( apart from kettle but can hire)
The balcony was south facing second floor facing the sea and pool always had sun onit. Would definitely stay in 217 again.
The lifts were not a problem as some reviews said never had to que in the breakfast or dinner que again that may depend on the month you visit however we was there when the local Ironman 2024 was happening in Calella so it was busy but we was not affected.
The roof top adults only area is a gem.
We took our own drinks as there is no roof top bar.
Glass elevator running upside the hotel lovely views & the train line does not disturb your sleep at night.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.

First stay at the Maritim and the hotel is excellent. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Stayed half-board & the food is really great, varied and plentiful. The room was amazing with lots of little extras from toothbrushes to soaps, and the beds are comfy making for a relaxing night's sleep. With air-con, fridge & fabulous view of the sea I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Looking forward to

Negative: Unable to access WiFi, air conditioner in room didn't work, very loud at night due to music bar downstairs, breakfast was nice but dinner was terrible and not even water included in price for dinner.
Positive: very clean hotel throughout, rooms are beautiful, wonderful sea view, pool area has plenty of sunbeds, most staff are very friendly and professional, great selection for breakfast, excellent location. I would stay again despite the negative comments because the Positive outweighs negative at this lovely hotel, but would stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

Beautiful modern hotel, friendly staff, clean room, we had daily cleaning, always clean towels, quiet room, good air conditioning, which allows you to cool down. Very tasty, high-quality and varied food, we went to the restaurant several times, and then decided that the food in the hotel is much tastier. After an early check-out, we were given the opportunity to use the pool area and spa until our departure. I want to return to this hotel many times, this hotel gave us warm memories for life.

Nice looking hotel from the beach. We had a small but very clean and comfortable room with sea view and a spacious en-suite. Staff are very helpful and friendly and keep the hotel in good shape. We had breakfast included, it was a good continental buffet. Pool is very small but the beach is straight across the road/ rail tracks and it’s the place to be. There’s also an adult’s only roof terrace with day beds, hot tub and sea views. There is no parking at the hotel but they have a secure car park a couple of streets away.
