Terrible stay – definitely not a 4-star experience
I checked in today and the nightmare started right away. Only one receptionist was working at the front desk, so it took me over 30 minutes just to get my room key.
When I finally got to the room, it was unbearably hot – stepping in from the hallway felt like going from ice to fire. The reason? The air conditioning was broken, and in September in Barcelona it was blowing hot air instead of cooling. Ridiculous! I asked to change rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked, so they just handed me a fan as a “solution.”
The bathroom was another disaster. The ceiling had obvious patchwork repairs and was leaking, the bathtub looked like it had been used for half a century, and the handrail was broken. Absolutely shocking for a so-called 4-star hotel.
Unfortunately, I have an early flight tomorrow so I had no choice but to stay, but this was a hellish experience from start to finish. Avoid this hotel if you value your comfort.

Worst mattress I’ve slept on, really hurt my back in just one night, no proper sound isolation crowds of guests heard all over (outside the room, neighbor rooms, even sound from the foyer were people celebrating something), bathroom facilities have signs of decline, the shower holder cannot hold itself, the door to the bathroom is barely closing as it looks damp, view from the room is on the parking lot, drive in KFC and Burger King, oh and if you plan work here WIFI signal is not stable at all… Have no idea how this place got 4-star classification… oh and final touch is even though hotel advertising itself as having swimming pool it is not available “until the next season”
Really think that some reassessment needed for the rating of the hotel, it seems even Ibis (2-star) hotel will provide more convenient business stay than this 😢

I’m not sure what to think about SB BCN Events. The hotel itself is fine — clean rooms and generally correct service — but there’s no minibar, which is surprising for a 4-star superior hotel. What’s more disappointing is that no one answered the phone for two days in a row. That doesn’t really match the level of service you’d expect from this category.

I have booked 4 nights staying in this hotel in Oct, 2025.
I have just stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, I was having a very poor experience which I've never come across before. The hotel could not provide the fundamental services to customers. Since I found the room temperature is very hot, I tried many times everyday from the first day to contact the reception by the intercom in my room to have their assistance, but I failed to contact them no matter how hard I try calling in a few days
Therefore, I went down to lobby and request their help. The staff in the lobby just told me the intercom has not been working for a few days. Such reason is not acceptable.
In addition, I have just requested their room service to get me a plate, fork & knife to me room. They requested me to go down to lobby to get them by myself, otherwise, they will charge me a room service charge.
Crazy! how much can they charge me just for an empty plate, a fork & knife?
The hotel should not be entitled to be 4 stars. If you want to book a room in Bacelona, I suggest you'd better think twice or consider other hotels.

I recently stayed 2 nights at SB BCN Events in Castelldefels and had an excellent experience from start to finish. My room was newly renovated and exceeded my expectations: it was very spacious, with brand-new furniture, plenty of natural light due to having a big glass door leading to a lovely balcony, and a modern bathroom that was both comfortable and stylish. The entire hotel, including my room, was spotless clean, which made the stay even more relaxing.
Regarding the hotel facilities, the swimming pool which was awesome, perfect for summer. Quite big and surrounded by natural grown grass.
What truly stood out was the quality of service. I want to highlight Fernando at the front desk, who offered outstanding attention throughout my stay. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and committed to making sure everything went smoothly. His communication was clear, warm, and efficient, true examples of how he cares for a great guest experience.
Overall, the combination of the renovated, comfortable, and spotless room, the great facilities like the pool, and the superb service from Fernando and the team made my stay a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Castelldefels and look forward to staying here again in the future.

It’s a shame that such a good hotel ruins it’s image because of their breakfast. If you decide to come, rooms are quite good but I suggest you don’t have breakfast. I’ve reached out the Front Desk who told me to talk to Agustin, the head of breakfast. Agustin acknowledged they run out of bread. You check the attached pictures to see how food is lacking: Spanish omelette, olive oil, fruits, bread and even pastries.
Agustin asked me if I was staying longer, he was perhaps looking for some treat, but as a genuine complaint I was not expecting any waivers.
I just feel that what you pay for breakfast is not what you get.
A real pitty, as the hotel has really high standards.
Hotel is close to a shopping mall, near the beaches and 15 minutes from the airport. Rate price is also very good.
Just avoid breakfast and you will be very happy.

We chose this hotel as recommended to be near the airport as we were staying only one night, but it was neither near the hotel nor to the center. It is very overpriced for what it is. The room overlooks another building with no view at all. The bathroom floor was not clean. Our room door was not opening and we wanted to head to the airport, we reached out to the reception and they changed the key 2 times but still did not work and we were getting late, the lady at the reception was very rude and not helpful. We had a bad experience

It was a good experience overall.
The good: Lara at reception was amazing, very helpful and understanding. We stayed in 3 different rooms, all of them very clean, the beds are so comfortable and pillows and sheets so soft! The pizza at the Bar in front of the pool was out of this world, loved it.
The not so good: We stayed 2 nights, one of them in a Double Room, another in a Jacuzzi Room, unfortunately the latter's AC didn't work so they had to updgrade us to a nicer and bigger room but without Jacuzzi, the staff was helpful and the room was lovely, it's just sad that we couldn't use the Jacuzzi.
The good: Lara at reception was amazing, very helpful and understanding. We stayed in 3 different rooms, all of them very clean, the beds are so comfortable and pillows and sheets so soft! The pizza at the Bar in front of the pool was out of this world, loved it.

This is a great 4-star hotel. It is mainly for events, and I was there at the partners' international conference for about four days. The food is good, not great, but it is recommended for those who have an acquired taste. Breakfast was much better, and the coffee was exceptionally delicious. There is a nearby shopping center and some fast food places in the area. The area is more an industrial area, and there are some suburbs across the roads from the hotel. Overall, the place is mainly for events and conferences.

Great room, very comfortable beds and lovely receptionists. Nice pool too.
Unfortunately breakfast was poor, cold eggs and sausages. Housekeeper went in our room despite the 'Do not disturb' sign.
