Horrifying Experience at a NH Sants Barcelona Hotel – Security Concerns and Unhelpful Staff

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a hotel in Barcelona with my family and friends, and to say that our stay was marred by an incident of theft would be an understatement. Not only were we robbed in the hotel, but the reception staff's nonchalant response and lack of cooperation left us feeling extremely unsafe and disappointed.

Upon discovering that we had been robbed, we immediately approached the reception desk for assistance. However, instead of being met with empathy and concern, we were met with an almost indifferent attitude. The staff refused to show us the CCTV footage of the incident and brushed off our concerns as if such incidences were just another commonplace occurrence in the hotel.

This lack of cooperation and dismissive behavior left us feeling shocked and frustrated. The fact that the reception staff deemed it acceptable not to offer any help or guidance during such a distressing situation is simply unacceptable. As guests, we expected the hotel staff to prioritize our safety and well-being, but their response failed us completely.

In addition to the emotional distress caused by the theft itself, the incident left us feeling incredibly unsafe throughout our stay. The blatant disregard for our security made us constantly on edge, unable to fully relax and enjoy our trip. It is disheartening to think that our first experience in Barcelona was tarnished by the very place we had chosen to stay.

A hotel's duty is to provide a comfortable and secure environment for guests to enjoy their time away from home. Unfortunately, this hotel fell depressingly short in this aspect. Our trust in the establishment was shattered, and it is unlikely that we will ever return, let alone recommend it to others.

Ultimately, I would caution anyone considering this hotel to think twice before making a reservation. The lack of proper security measures, combined with the uncooperative and dismissive behavior of the reception staff, creates an environment that is far from conducive to a pleasant or worry-free stay. My experience not only left a bad taste in my mouth but also gave a negative impression of Barcelona as a whole.
