Senator Spa Hotel

Frosty reception. Not sure how this hotel has 4 stars. There is no information in the room, or by the phone, or how to call reception. Towels and TP are very poor quality. If you want to enjoy the balcony or open your window, you will likely breathe second hand smoke coming from a neighbour. I didn't see any nonsmoking signs, but it is against the law to smoke. The corridor was cold and dark and the doors are very loud when they slam shut. The breakfast isn't worth it, you have to walk miles to find and get what you want, many items aren't fresh, and the coffee was very lousy. The large bed and pillows were comfy and it was nice to be able to watch a non dubbed movie. The kettle, tea, coffee and complimentary water were also appreciated.

You should be at least be very careful with this hotel. In general it is fine, but not a zero chance to get your money or stuff stolen from the room.
So, we got ROBBED in our room! Someone stole cash (around 250 euros) from our wallets when we were somewhere away. This, of course, totally spoiled our impressions. We did not use the safe, but the cash was inside our wallets which were inside our bags which were inside the wardrobe. Of course, me and my wife couldn't lose our cash at the same time and only large bills of 50 and 20 euros, so they were obviously stolen. This is first time ever when I meet a situation like that (4 stars hotel!). Of course, I reported to the hotel staff and police. Hotel promised that the manager would give me a call in a few days after we leave. It's been almost two weeks already, and no one called or emailed me on that. Hotel said they are very sorry, that's all. Moreover, to evade getting robbed again, I put a Please Skip Cleaning sign on my door, but they still cleaned it and imagine, my paper from the local police in my bag was in a different position, looks like someone read it and put it back. This is just crazy.
Apart from that: when we arrived, the floor in our room was sandy, and the bathroom was pretty dirty, someone's hair on the floor has been there for half of our 11-nights stay. The shower is in the room, but not in the bathroom, not a huge issue though, just saying.
One more: Wi-fi did NOT work for like 3 days out of 11. It just switched off and the reception guys could not say when it would return.

Visually nice. Fancy rooms, nice place. The “spa” hotel that don’t inform their guests that they in fact are unable to use the spa at all.

So we decided to spend a romantic weekend 200 km away and relax in a nice spa hotel. Swimming pools, saunas, massages… it was supposed to be a few day off hard work. We found out just after arrival that there’s no possibility to have a massage - not because there are so many clients (what we would understand), but… because the spa is closed on Easter Monday (nobody told that when we booked the stay!!!). What is even worse and absolutely shocking - the hotel swimming pool and saunas are limited, only 20 people can enter (for a hotel with a 200 rooms?!?!), plus tomorrow it’s totally closed so people cannot even use a hotel utilities. It’s raining outside, we’re came here 200 km and we cannot even go chill in the sauna in a “spa hotel”. The manager talks to us in a tone “I understand you, go to hell”, they don’t really care. This hotel is a sheer lie. Not a spa hotel in any way - just a random “rather nice looking” place where you can’t use anything that they advert unless you are the lucky one within the group of 20 chosen ones - and never ever during the weekends or holidays.

It was supposed to be an unforgettable stay and after all… it’s not even funny. We feel lied to and paid for nothing. We came to a spa and we can’t even use the common sauna. It’s a really bad joke.

We can’t wait until we check out, so the booking review will become possible to make.

If you want to spend a night, just sleep and move on in your trip - maybe. If you want to come for relaxation, you will be severely disappointed.

The hotel has a high rate for the spa on the internet. We came 200km to use that for easter and now we are here its closed on Monday and reservated for the rest of the time we are here. This is absurd! You need to make a reservation to even use the sauna,jaccuzzi. It now comes out this place has about 10floors and the spa is for 20 persons at a time. How can a hotel known for the spa close it on an easter weekend? How come there is absolute zero information about it that if you dont make any reservation that its impossible to use the sauna? Spoken to the person in charge who says with a smile on the face that its like that..
We have now been twice, the first and last time !!
We live in an area full of hotels, we drive 200km to spend a nice easter and we have no acces to any fascilities of this Hotel. Absolute joke this place !

It started allready with a rude way of talking with the check in. The receptionist said " I need HER id also" I am sorry what??

But as I did not want to start bad I did not say a word but now after the information we will be unable to use anything for 3 days I got mad and sad because thats not what we had in mind comming here.

That you need a reservation for a massage I can understand but I have seen a lot of hotels and never have had a problem to use the pool,jaccuzzi or sauna. For me this is an absolute joke to treat people like this without informing at the side or in booking.
If we could we would give them a -10 for the spa and the person in charge the same for the zero understanding way of acting. We got tge bad luck to be here with rain so now stuck inside
