Absolutely perfect experience!
This 5-star hotel truly deserves every star. Everything was amazing — from the friendly and professional staff to the beautifully clean rooms. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options every day. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and I felt very well taken care of. I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and excellent service. I would love to come back again!
Pro info: Take a room with "side view" to the sea, they are best in terms of price/service ratio, as you get sea view but dont pay the full sea view.
Very silent, beautiful views, great bed and shower. Very very clean also!
What i loved most was the breakfast. Live Music everynight with really really good singers and musicians!
Two steps and ur at the beach from their pool. There is a small door that leads you to the beachfront.
They have a Bar lounge roof top which has amazing views with two small pools! Breathtaking!
Just sometimes , specially in summer or on the weekends strange people may come who are not from the hotel , a bit rude and with no education or class, Barriobajeros they say in spanish. They get drunk and are loud so i stayed out of that area when they where there. Music could be a bit more not always House music but maybe more chilled or more 80s 90 s music .
All in all will definetly come back!

Customer service was truly exceptional. Every request and whim of ours was fulfilled, making us feel exceptionally well taken care of. The staff was always smiling, helpful, and very professional.
The hotel underwent a thorough renovation before the COVID-19 pandemic, so all the rooms are modern and in excellent technical condition. The pool is very clean, and the sun loungers are equipped with comfortable mattresses, allowing for full relaxation outdoors.
It is worth mentioning the many small details that make the stay more enjoyable. In our room there was a beach bag where you could conveniently carry towels to the beach or pool. Additionally, the bag contained sunscreen and body lotion—really nice and practical accessories.
The rooms are very clean, and the staff replenished water, tea, and coffee every day. We also received a small treat every day—cookies or chocolate bars for afternoon tea brought by a friendly member of the housekeeping staff.
I highly recommend the activities offered by the hotel. We especially enjoyed the walk to the nearby park, during which the guide told us about the history of the Canary Islands and various local species of plants and animals.
In summary: the hotel itself and the service deserve 5 stars. The only point that needs improvement is the food. It is not bad, but there is still a lot missing to reach a five-star level.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a comfortable stay and top-notch service!
The location is a 5/5 - right on the beach and very central.
The room is a 5/5 - the views over the ocean from the rooms is superb.and the room has all I needed. Spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable but I do think the pillows need a upgrade. The air conditioning is very slow.
Unfortunately the service was not great so I have to give it a 3/5. The bedroom wasn’t cleaned before 3pm and for 2 nights it wasn’t cleaned at all which for a 5* hotel is not acceptable
Otherwise, all other staff very helpful.
However, the check-in is very slow (took me 45 minutes) with only 2 people in-front of me.
The pool area is nice but needs more umbrellas and I think there are too many sun beds - it’s plastered
If you come during the high season I suggest not to get a room above level 3 as the music is very loud when the sunroof bar is open (it was open for 1 night whilst I was there)

This hotel claims to be a 5-star resort, but our experience was far from luxurious. The rooms are poorly designed—narrow, with a bathroom sink awkwardly placed in the middle of the sleeping area and a shower that lacks proper separation from the rest of the room. Amenities are minimal, with nothing beyond a generic shower gel dispenser attached to the wall.
The dining experience was equally frustrating. The buffet area for both breakfast and dinner is too small for the number of guests, leading to repetitive food choices and long waits. Despite being required to book a time slot for breakfast, we still had to queue before being seated, with no clear reason why. Worse still, even a simple request for ketchup went ignored on five separate occasions.
One of the most unacceptable aspects of this so-called 5-star resort is its approach to water. In a hot climate, access to drinking water should be a basic provision, yet free water is only available at breakfast. At all other times, even during the paid dinner buffet for half-board guests, water must be purchased. This is not just inconvenient—it is exploitative. When I raised this issue with reception, I was dismissively told that “we all have to suffer inconveniences when on holiday.” That response alone speaks volumes about the hotel’s attitude towards guest experience.
Adding to the disappointment, poolside cabanas—which one would reasonably expect to be available to paying guests—come at an additional cost. There is no clear signage about this, leading to awkward situations where guests are rudely asked to pay or leave.
Overall, this hotel operates with a focus on squeezing extra money from guests rather than providing a true 5-star experience. Poor room design, subpar dining, unnecessary restrictions, and a lack of basic hospitality make it clear that this resort falls far short of the luxury it promises. I would not return and cannot recommend it to others.
The Positives:
The service was excellent, with friendly and engaging staff who made us feel welcome.
The breakfast buffet was light, varied, and offered great choices. It was definitely worth the upcharge.
The room and amenities were of high quality, providing a comfortable stay.
While the bed was on the harder side, it was nice to know that softer bedding could be ordered at the reception.
The Negatives:
When we inquired about upgrading our room, the price quoted at the reception was double what was listed on the hotel's own website (€100 vs. €40–€50 per night). This inconsistency was disappointing, especially since we booked directly through their website.
Parking was another issue. We were initially told it would cost €10 per night, but at checkout, we were charged €20 per night. When we raised this with the receptionist, we were met with resistance and told we must have misunderstood, which left us feeling dismissed and unheard.
The way feedback was handled at checkout was particularly disappointing. Comparing room upgrade pricing to airline pricing felt irrelevant, and the overall attitude was dismissive and unhelpful.
While there were many aspects of the stay we enjoyed, these issues—particularly the inconsistency in pricing and dismissive handling of feedback—left a negative impression. Based on our experience, we would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others despite its excellent amenities and service.
We hope these issues are addressed in the future, as the hotel does have a lot of potential to provide a wonderful guest experience.
From the moment we arrived, the experience has been flawless. The privacy of the hotel is unmatched, creating a serene and exclusive environment. The pool is simply outstanding – beautifully designed and perfect for a relaxing day under the sun.
But the highlight of our stay has been the service. Every department goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is perfect:
• The housekeeping team is exceptional, paying close attention to every little detail to keep the rooms spotless and inviting.
• The breakfast team is incredible – not only is the food of the highest quality, but the staff are so friendly and always greet you with a warm smile, making mornings a delight.
• The pool service is fantastic, with staff happy to bring you a refreshing cocktail whenever you need it.
• And a special shoutout to the reception team! They helped us book an amazing spa day and gave us great recommendations for the best places and activities in the area.
If you’re considering booking a hotel, stop searching – this is the one. At El Faro, you feel truly looked after, surrounded by a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a stay you won’t forget!
