Hotel Tejuma

Small hotel with vintage interior vibes. The rooms are old but clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Shower worked and the water was hot. Parking was difficult but therefore you're super close to the city centre. If you're looking for a budget option and only come for sleeping, this is a great hotel.

I had been walking all morning from Hotel to Hotel in Puerto De La Cruz because I needed to find a cheap and affordable hotel. Almost every place I went into looked at me strangely when I asked for their cheapest room... Many of them were nice too, don't get me wrong. A lot of places had issues with their internet they said, which I really needed since I work online...

When I visited Hotel Tejuma I knew I was in the right place. It's a little secluded (which I love), less "energy" from people and less noise...! Very quiet, except maybe some noise from cars running by (doesnt happen often at all and I have not been bothered yet) and the internet is great. No lag or stream buffer issues. The owners (as far as I understand it) has owned this building for a while now. They are still doing work here, updating the place regularly it seems! The rooms are not super exceptional but they are VERY CLEAN and TIDY (and I have a feeling they are working on improving them). A lot of Spanish hotels have issues with bad smells in their rooms - NOT THIS ONE. The rooms smell great, clean sheets and clean toilet/shower. I love this place. €30 / night is a steal imho. The owners are MEGA FRIENDLY and helpful. I arrived to tenerife with a late airplane which resulted in me waiting on the Airport (northern one) for 5 hours outside......... It was horrible. I was super tired when I arrived to Hotel Tejuma - at 10:00 - and the owners still let me in and allowed me to check in 4 hours earlier than normally... My bet is that not all hotels around here would do this for you. The owners are connected with their hearts - for sure. Super friendly and good people. My heart was filled with joy as they said I could check in earlier for the same pricing and everything. What a blessing... As I am writing, I've had a shower and I've slept some hours. Will sleep more soon tho because I am tired. The bed are great, a little hard but I prefer that!! You get 2 big beds even if you are a single person renting a room, which is great. The rooms are pretty spacious (compared to other €50/night hotels I've been on here in Puerto De La Cruz at other times visiting the island)...! The water in the machine downstairs is super cheap - $1 / bottle. Other Hotels sell them for $1.80!!!! My full review is 10/10. Yes, it is a 2 star hotel but I would say it's very high standard for 2 stars. I would recommend this hotel over most here in Puerto de la Cruz and I'm sure that you, whoever is reading this, will not be disappointed. The ONLY thing (but this doesn't really bother ME) is that the shower pressure is a little weak. But imho, we should save on water anyways... Since we are literally killing our beautiful planet... So I only see the positive in that...! You'll still be able to shower and feel good afterwards. Enough of warm water to go around too. It is quite a walk back up if you go downtown btw. :) But you need to move your body too in these computerized days!! ;) Plus honestly, it's so calm here I don't mind at all.

Don't hesitate. Book a room here and you will feel great. You even have your own little balcony!! :))))

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They brought us a big candle when a storm was expected in case the power was cut and when we asked for extra pillows they were brought to the room within five minutes. The WiFi is very good. There is no kitchen but downstairs beside the reception there is a fridge and a microwave you can use. The hotel is in a good location just a short walk from the sea and there are cafes and shops around. Our view was great we could see both Teide and the sea from our balcony. It's a very peaceful area there was never a lot of noise. I would recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Room are very clean and have a balcony. Staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are also not expensive and the hotel is located in the centre.

Its a good basic hotel with reasonable price. Very nice staff or owners and clean. I like the location as well. The negative side is that the wifi didnt work in my room so it made things little bit complicated.
