Room was modern and very clean, we had a room on level 1 as we attended for a convention, if we stayed again I would request a room on a higher level as I like using the balcony. I have stayed at this this hotel three times over the years. I just loved the place. Food grand...large bedrooms with big confy beds ...staff were very helpful. Just about ten minutes walk to the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Also a neighbouring hotel five minutes away had adult dancing almost every night where all the locals danced...very enjoyable. There is also live entertainment in the hotel...

When we arrived at Hotel Botanico we were welcomed in a super nice way by the staff. It's a huge hotel in relatively good location, it's older hotel but generally well maintained and clean. There is a swimming pool and a small pool for kids. The food for breakfast, but also lunch or dinner is quite low quality, mostly from frozen things and it doesn't have much flavor, tastes cheap and bland. Lovely holiday at this hotel. Very clean, excellent food for an inclusive. In two weeks we ate out twice just because the food in the hotel was so varied and well presented. Service from the majority of staff was great. Walking distance to Loro Parque. In a nice quiet area of Tenerife. I would recommend this hotel for a family holiday. First visit to Tenerife and stayed here for 10 days half-board as a family of four including two teenagers. Food was a surprise. Didn't have a bad meal the whole time we were there. Tasty, varied and great service. The team were helpful and attentive. Bedooms are clean, spacious but a little tired in terms of decor. A real gem of a holiday - happy to recommend and would go again.

Help review! We leave in a month in this hotel, I would like to know what is included in "all inclusive" and is there entertainment at night?

1. Rooms are spotless and large. 2. Pool area is excellent, but note don't dare leave a towel to reserve a sunbed or it will be removed by staff. ( I think it's a great idea) 3. We had a fantastic holiday at Hotel Puerto Palace in Tenerife! The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious with balconies, and the pools and activities were excellent. The variety of food and drinks was impressive, and the entertainment kept us entertained. Highly recommend for a great stay!

Very nice hotel with nice swimming pools and views. Cleaning is also good. Food, well its possible to find something good to eat. But some things are tragedy like desserts and paella out of spaghetti not rice for example. I think it can be done much better by people working here.

We had a really good time in Puerto Palace, it has everything you might need and the personnel are really nice. The view of the pool and the garden from our room was beautiful and made for a really nice and peaceful stay. It’s the perfect place for truly relaxing, but it also has happy hour and evening live music.

So the hotel has its faults, which the management is partially seeing to, but, in my experience, it is far from being a 4* hotel. The entertainment starts far too late. The meal service options are somewhat limited, and most restaurant staff lack any positive spirit. In most cases, I've half finished my main without any drink provision, and they never follow up with another drink if you've finished...

Location is tucked away from the main run of hotels. Quite adults only, 5 mins from beach. Amazing views of the north Side of the island, and cooler than the south. Nice lot of restaurants if on b and b, food at hotel is passable, but not great.

Hotel is located in a great location about a third of the way up a hill. Feels like you walk up the hill un both directions though...Staff are great very helpful and multi lingual. Apart from one of the lifeguards who I dont think talks full stop. We had the top tier all inc package and it worked well. Great and lovely time at the hotel. Staff were exceptional kind and helpful most especially Veronica. She was superb with her yoga class and she always had a smile on every time. I will recommend the hotel to my friends and family and will ask them to attend the yoga class as well. Definitely coming back to the hotel again

Food was great and really enjoyed the location of this hotel. There could be a few small improvements such as: the entertainment was ok but could put a disco on afterwards to just end the nights better. Also the furniture in the hall could be more comfortable as my our backs were aching after a couple of hours. Fantastic location, good pools, okay rooms. Expect a 3 star hotel room quality, definitely not a 4 star. Avoid all inclusive or half board dinner and lunch service, it’s not worth it. Really like this hotel. It is older, has two buildings, has spacious grounds and is peaceful. It doesn't have air conditioning and is a little bit out of town up a steep hill for those with mobility issues. Very clean, larger rooms, pleasant staff and good value for money.

Room a bit dated (albeit kept clean) and could do with some renovation. Balcony door very stiff and awkward to open resulting in the maid leaving it open when cleaning. Shower head broken but thankfully there was a waterfall rain shower as well, albeit with high pressure. Nice place to stay. The rooms are big, the place is well maintained. When you stay here you will see that it is meant especially for German and Spanish retirees. Also you need to keep in mind that to get to the hotel from the city center, you need to climb a small hill, which may be tiring for some people, but there are free buses going to and from center regularly.

Try the hotel during December or/and January, cheaper and not crowded. Pay attention to the incredible noise of the sea waves ,especially in the night.In the front of the hotel,there is a big cliff inside the sea where the sea waves are hitting noisly.Otherwise, the very good hotel and spa.

Don't let yourself fooled by the overall score of the reviews. The hotel is very clean, room is huge anf the food is very nice also. (breakfast and dinner) The views are fantastic both from the room and the restaurant. Staff is very nice and the ladies that clean your room are brilliant. Everything is clean and back to where it is supposed to be upon your return.

Spent 10 days here and it's been a mixed experience. The hotel, lovely. The staff, lovely, the cleanliness, lovely. But then there's the food here, I've had to go out to eat every day during my stay here, fortunately it doesn't take much to fill me up, but if you're here with a family of fussy eaters it can quickly get very costly on top of the price for your stay. Spent a full week at Be Live Experience Orotava and here's my thoughts: Location is excellent, you can get anywhere within a 5 minute walk. In front of the hotel you have Mercadona which is a very cheap grocery shop, coffee shops, burguer king, etc. Rooms are good, cleaned everyday, cleaning lady is very polite and nice. All inclusive is not exactly ALL inclusive as you can't even get a bottle of water...

Just come back from a weeks stay here. Overall the hotel is nice and the rooms are a nice size and clean the only downside is you don't get a kettle or anything in the rooms there's a little coffee shop across the road which was ok but very pricey and in the hotel there is a vending machine with bottles of water which was about €2. The pool is extremely small and very over looked only a couple of sunbeds...

Decent place. Stayed for 2 nights while transition in between long term stays. Managed to get my stay for €48 a night. Rooms are standard, and equipped as expected. There is working Aircon in the room, and very fast wifi, great for work. Breakfast buffet is really great, only frankfurter style sausages though, but a load of other things to compensate. Nice hotel, all inclusive. The quality of food and service is fine. Quite happy with our staying, but just one weird thing, basically there is no double bed, there are only small double beds. Most of the hotel rooms are with two beds connected. Our staying was long so it was hard for the staff to find us a real double bed, because we asked them to change our room, since them bed was creating a gap...

An excellent Hotel very well located with beautiful rooms. The hotel is only let down by the long waits at reception and the poor performance of breakfast. Breakfast is the biggest issue it really stops about 30 minutes prior to the advertised finish time. Staff disappear there is little chance plates and food will be restocked. You have a big problem with the elevators, they were out of phase. There was only one elevator going to the garage and you had to wait 10 minutes to go up or down from the garage with the elevator. The rooms are quite old, the bathroom needs renovation. The paint is peeling off in the corridors. The cleanliness is at the highest level. A nice surprise was the bar on the 7th floor with a jacuzzi (with quite cold water). Breakfasts could be better, little choice for vegetarians or vegans. Views and location is good, near the bus stops and the beaches and the center. Situated on a high cliff in the center, the views from rooftop terrace are especially great. There are sunbeds, 2 hot tubs and drinks available too at the rooftop. Mostly older people in the hotel, so nice and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay here , we did get a lower level room at first, which overlooked a tip area . We are only starting our time at the Atlantic El Tope, but we have to leave a 5 star rating for the immediate service we have received. I really liked the concept of a non-smoking establishment. The hotel itself is located among the city streets, 15-20 minutes walk to the ocean. The hotel has a great pool. The exterior itself is a piece of wild nature combined with civilization, everything is very harmonious. I stayed in the hotel in December 2024 including over Christmas. The hotel is nice, most of the guests were 60+ and from Germany. All staff speaks German, but not everyone spoke English. Half-board is fine. I normally stay at 5-star hotels and was afraid I will not like the food because of 4 stars, but it was delicious and with enough variety. Christmas dinner was amazing. Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast with buffet and a nice nice staff. Old fashioned but good hotel, one minus wi-fi doesn’t work fast, and hotel doesn’t have an iron for the guests.

The service in the BAR on the 6th floor resembled the server: tired and slow (i.e., as in Donald Trump-type slowness- not a good thing to behold in any context). When I asked for the menu (none was forthcoming on my entry), he looked at me quizzically as if to wonder why I was not endowed with some super- human power enabling me to see what was available by intuition alone. I was not a guest at this hotel but I did visit the Kontiki Rooftop Bar and Restaurant which is open to anyone. The views were amazing, looking down on the lido and the sea. Great place to watch the sun set. We only had drinks, reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Will go back.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet is probably the best I've seen in any holiday hotel. All the staff are polite and hard working.

Will definitely come back! Perfect location, beautiful green patio and a pool with a sea view. Staff was extra extra friendly and helpful! The only disadvantage was not many plant based options for breakfast.

The room was ok, the rooms are outdated and the bedframes not clean. A cockroach was found dead in my room and it wasn't cleaned the next morning, it was under the bed and the cleaner missed it. The positives are the staff, the location, the price, having a fridge plus a desk where you could work complete other activities such as maybe applying make-up or something.

This is a wonderful hotel. Full stop. The more most beautiful interior in Puerto. A place that is obviously loved by its management and staff. The staff, particularly the maid services were the best we've seen in many years. It could not be more perfectly situated in the town. Great value for money. Extremely recommended.

Very nice, clean hotel. Its old and the rooms are outdated but I think making it modern would destroy whole atmosphere of the hotel. My room had way too small bathtub and the balcony was facing a wall. Cleaner comes every morning to ask if you need a clean, if you dont put the "do not disturb" tag or you dont talk to cleaner to inform them to not clean the room, they will enter your room anyway. Our recent stay at the Hotel Monopol was not as we had hoped. The rooms were outdated and did not seem as clean as we had expected based on other reviews. Although we paid extra for a balcony, we were disappointed to find ourselves in an underground room with a "terrace" located beneath the swimming pool. Hotel and rooms were nice, food was mediocre but location was not so good. Not sunny at all, very cloudy, and next time I visit Tenerife I will ensure to avoid the north. But other than that, hotel was good. Rooms 4 stars, service 5, but location 1.

The rooms are ok, good that all have a balcony, and no matter which side you choose you will have a very nice view. The food they serve is almost suitable for all needs, and they have a wide variety of them, that's if you're not picky and used to only caviars and lobsters. The hotel is wonderful as is the staff! The reception, chefs and ladies who clean the rooms are wonderful! Everything was beautiful, from the welcome to our departure. Hotel for every recommendation!

All of the hotel personal is extremely friendly which is the most important thing for me, the food is also amazing (we are extremely allergic to crabs and gluten and was always taken care of that), and once more very friendly people and amazing location.

Overall great experience i did have to fight several cockroaches but it’s inevitable. The pool is great and the location is close to the center and the ocean. Great view plus balconies on every room. A great stay. Food is good even if it’s self service Nd the staff is very kind, excellent stay.
