Santemar Hotel
Santander, Joaquín Costa, 28 🧭 Map
Pool: Pool
The hotel is luxuriously decorated, the environment is comfortable, the front desk service is enthusiastic, the room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is large and easy to use, and the hotel breakfast is great, rich in content and tastes good
Food was just ordinary if a little overpriced, my Veal Entrecôte was mostly good but in parts tough and chewy, chips nothing outstanding, my advice would be to eat out at the many excellent restaurants in the adjoining street
High quality hotel situated in a very good location easily within walking distance to the beaches and local restaurants and bars. Room was clean and well appointed with air conditioning. Staff were friendly and efficient
Lovely clean hotel with big rooms and fantastic bathrooms. Very close to the beach and local amenities. Did not use the restaurant as there is plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering local food and pinchos
Dinner was also served at the hotel, a three-course French meal that tasted excellent. There are white-lined parking spaces on the roadside at the door, which are free and safe. The peninsula beach is beautiful
It is just a 1 minute walk to the beach/sea front and there are lots of restaurants & bars very close by. The walk from the bay to the city centre is amazing along the beautifully clean and scenic promenade

Great rooms overlooking the ferry port.
Excellent reception staff. Dining experience not great.
Yeah just go for this. Actually felt like a hotel in a great location. Avoid the hills
Very comfortable hotel situated right at the front of the promenade with a great view over the sea, as long as the mist is not there! The hotel staff were all very helpful, l only wish my Spanish was as good as their English
The room was very spacious, although the extra bed for children was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good, as was the staff's attention. The location was great.
All areas of the hotel were very clean and the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was good it was buffet style with a good selection to please most tastes
A super hotel in every respect. Large comfortable room with a view of the city. Good breakfast, very convenient for the city centre and the ferry port

Service in the bar/cafe area downstairs was very slow because there was only one member of staff at front of house and she had to act as bar person, waitress, table clearer and general dogsbody! We gave up waiting to be served on a couple of occasions and went elsewhere, I felt quite sorry for her
This hotel ticks all the boxes, plus more than expected. We received an upgrade to a deluxe room with spectacular panoramic sea views
Hotel has a fantastic location on the front and there was an amazing sea view from our room. However, on returning to the room on the 2nd day we had no cups or satchets of coffee/milk for the morning
We parked our rental car right in front for free. Few KM's away from the center. Best part is the towels and the water pressure ( 😆)
Lovely hotel, located right across the street from the beach. Many restaurants close by. Great walkway for miles along the ocean. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Parking is hard though.
30-10 am after an overnight flight. Staff (Gina & the other girl) was so accommodating and found us a room for us to check in earlier. The location is amazing with the beach and water views

Marvelous place close to El Sardinero. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. The staff gives a wonderful service.
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean and spacious, cafe was nice
Free use of swimming pool next door. Beach and supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get into Santander on numerous buses. Paseo al Cabo Mayor affords lovely views of the Sardinero beach
Senior suite was wonderful with a huge jacuzzi tub and plenty of room. Balcony with a view and a large comfortable bed. All amenities were very nice and in good order. Very pleasant visit! Spacious and we'll appointed.
This property is at the edge of town, but if you have a car and want less hassle with parking and crowds, stay here. The staff is very nice, and they have a popular bar and cafeteria, even at the edge of town
Friendly Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good location. It would be nice if they provide kettle for tea and coffee. All the other stuff made it good value for money. Will recommend it to anyone.

The check-in was friendly and the staff were always happy to see us. The room was comfortable. We liked the stylish and artful decor in the corridors. We didn't have any problems.
We had a double room with an exterior view. It was very cozy, with modern decor and located just two blocks from the center. It's an uphill climb, but there are escalators that take you down to the hotel
A lovely hotel in Santander, we enjoyed our stay. It is not far from the center, but the area of the hotel is quiet and relaxing. It has to be noted that the area around the hotel is quite hilly
Excellent stay at Art Hotel.
We had a perfect stay at this hotel.
Quirky design, underground parking, large room, excellent location and perfect staff.
Best of all, the breakfast was very complete and varied. I would definitely stay again, and the staff at reception were very friendly
We stayed here for a week during our honeymoon. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of options. The room was very spacious and we had a bay view which was lovely to wake up to

Rooms were clean and comfortable and overall a very nice stay, definitely would return in the future especially for the service staff provided
Lovely hotel and staff.
Good breakfast.
Disappointed that use of spa isn't included in price. 10 euros per person

Local wine bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance
The rooms are fairly spacious and quiet which is always welcome. Their breakfast buffet was adequate though limited. This is in comparison to other hotels I have visited. I also felt the menu was limited
The location of the hotel is idyllic. It is facing the beach and water. The hotel has pleasing outside aesthetics, it seems to glow particularly in the night. The service received was okay
Excellent location overlooking a nice beach. Clean and modern on the inside, with a retro facade that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding 19th century hotels around it
However, Eva from the reception was excellent and stood out. She made me feel welcome and was always smiling and helpful. The amenities work, even the air-conditioning
However, despite these minor nuisances, I enjoyed my stay and the beautiful people and city

Good bar, large rooms and spotlessly clean, the additionof a nespressocofffe machineis a welcome touch. I'd say the breakfast is a little too expensive so go next door to the Cafe botanico
Top hotel we had a suite which was unbelievable also had a street view heard no noise and had a 2 night break would come again never sleep so long had to rush so we didn't miss breakfast which was lovely plenty to choose from
Great central location, near shops and the market and public transport. Room had everything you needed. Front desk staff helpful. Quiet rooms, hard bouncy beds though.
This is the second time we stay in this hotel and our expectations were met. We like the service in general and the location is perfect to know the city.
Very nice reception staff, very helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. Great location in the the centre of town.
The rooms are very comfortable indeed. The staff are efficient and polite and helpful. The location could not be better.

Lovely hotel and very well located. Easy parking which is underground and secure. Only quibble is the shower needs a hand rail, to hold onto if you're a little wobbly on your feet, and rooms need power points next to bed
The breakfast buffet is delicious, fresh and ample with something to suit all tastes and the evening meals are very varied with excellent service, although we only chose to eat here once due to the many other options to try in Santander/Sardinero! This is our second stay at this hotel and I’ve no doubt it won’t be our last!
All staff were very friendly, particularly the receptionist we met. Good English spoken which is always appreciated. The room we had was very large with sea views
It was a longish walk into Santander, but the bus service looked very efficient. Would highly recommend this hotel. There is underground parking but also free stree parking opposite, if you can get a place
We wholeheartedly recommend the Gran Hotel Victoria to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding or any special event with family and friends. THANK YOU SO MUCH again! Justine & Rodrigo

Soho Boutique Palacio de Pombo Hotel
Santander, 1A Plaza Pombo 🧭 Map
We loved the comfortable king bed with loads of pillows, and nightly chocolate on the bed, tea/coffee facility, enomorous bathroom with fluffy towels and bath robes
As I wrote on another website: We had a wonderful check-in with the young female on reception particularly when she found out that we had just completed the Portuguese Camino, we were talking to a fellow pilgrim, and whenever she saw in the hotel
Positives: Own air-conditioning unit, spacious room, friendly staff. Negatives: No decent lighting over the bathroom vanity mirror and only espresso cups for coffee, no cups for tea drinkers (supplied when requested)
Beautiful hotel in Santander centre. Short trip to Santander, lovely hotel, mixing the old heritage of the building with modern style. Comfy bed, lovely breakfast and perfectly placed to walk round the city
Excellent hotel in the center of Santander. Modern, spacious and quiet rooms. Staff very kind and welcoming and inclined to provide the various indications and attractions of the city
What a delightful surprise I got when we entered our spacious and elegant corner room on the second floor with an enclosed balcony and plenty of fresh air and natural light

Wonderful stay , great welcome and touristical help from Alvaro, the front desk manager , perfect location with a wonderful view of the pretty bay and marina, very close to historical downtown and beaches.
Very nice place to stay on the waterfront and near Casa Lita. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our A/C worked like a charm and the breakfast buffet was very good. Good Wifi, as well.
We really liked our experience at the Vinci Puerto chico. The room was a little small but cozy, and the bathroom was quite big. The public parking right outside is a plus
The staff was nice and there were some nice touches. We did not take the breakfast. I would stay here again and highly recommend thanks to the awesome location
Stayed in this hotel for 7 days and enjoyed every minute of it we upgraded to the front rooms with a fabulous view. The cleanliness was very impressive
The reception staff were absolutely brilliant and the bar staff looked after us when we were sunning ourselves outside the hotel watching the world go by especially Tino who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable always smiling and helpful if you needed directions to and from places of interest
