Espectacular hotel!.. Great service especially the Bar!!

The hotel where the royal family used to vacation with friends may be a great choice if you are looking for a royal feeling.

I audibly squealed when I got to my room! This hotel will make you ooh and ahh on it's own, but the views it offers, too, just wow!! The service was fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the terrace has a cafe that serves small meals if you don't want a full dinner. Breakfast is on floor -1 with a beautiful set up and outdoor seating. The beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel...

I do not want to repeat what others wrote before me, but this hotel certainly did not feel like a 5-star property. Check-in - long line with one (excellent, hard-working) staffer trying to address many people. Elevator - a single elevator for a 5-story building with 120+ rooms? Really? Room - OLD, with furniture from 70s or 80s. Bathroom - neither functional nor ergonomic, with lots of marble. Towels...

This Hotel is much more.. it's an experience. . The views are spectacular, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable and spacious, the terrace is chilled and just the most beautiful space to eat,drink and relax... overall the decor is beautifully elegant. However, above all the staff are fantastic. a must visit, we have always throughly enjoyed our visits here...highly recommend

This is long overdue. We stayed here for three nights last summer and enjoyed every minute of it. The setting let alone remodeled historic structure are enough to draw us back to this wonderful hotel. We had dinner every night and the food was some of the best we had in all of our two weeks of travel across Spain. Fabulous Authentic Small Luxury Hotel. Loved staying here this spring. Good food, lovely indoor pool, super comfy beds and gorgeous interiors. Surrounded by quiet farmland and pretty gardens. Staff were kind and helpful. Would love to return in the future.

We stayed for two very enjoyable nights. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful very calm & relaxing. The rooms are a tranquil oasis. We ate at the restaurant both nights all meals excellent & showed local ingredients. We loved our stay here, it was so nice.

High quality hotel situated in a very good location easily within walking distance to the beaches and local restaurants and bars. Room was clean and well appointed with air conditioning. Staff were friendly and efficient. No problem recommending this hotel. The outside look of the hotel is not particularly attractive but inside it is what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Although it is a four-star hotel, it is really simple and cannot be compared with domestic four-star hotels. The scenery is great, the breakfast is too ordinary, the decoration in the room is very ordinary, and there is no kettle as usual

This property is at the edge of town, but if you have a car and want less hassle with parking and crowds, stay here. The staff is very nice, and they have a popular bar and cafeteria, even at the edge of town

Comfortable big room, quiet and helpful staff.

Like the large rooms. Very good breakfasts. Free use of swimming pool next door. Beach and supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get into Santander on numerous buses. Paseo al Cabo Mayor affords lovely views of the Sardinero beach.

The person at the front desk assisted me to obtaine medication I left at my previous hotel stay. She coordinated the delivery to me of the medication. Well beyond her responsibilities.

Stayed here for one night prior to getting the ferry back to the UK. From the outside the hotel looks like a concrete monstrosity built in the 1960's or 1970's. I stayed in Hotel Palacio del Mar for a couple of nights on a work trip to Santander. Over the service was good, the rooms were huge for what we paid and the location near the beach and the university was convenient. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special. The rooms did feel a bit dilapidated and one of my sheets was not very clean, so some renovations and improved cleaning would be welcome...

We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay in this large hotel overlooking the beach. The room was of good size and well maintained. Free on-street parking was found behind the hotel. Local wine bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Excellent location overlooking a nice beach. Clean and modern on the inside, with a retro facade that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding 19th century hotels around it. Reasonably priced in the winter, although I’m told summer prices can be eye watering. Overall highly recommended.

This is a fantastic hotel in which to relax and enjoy what is a very cosmopolitan town. The view from our room was spectacular and it offered a good level of comfort. The staff are hardworking and helpful and you have a choice of places to eat. The surrounding area offers excellent restaurants and bars if you want a walk.

Considering what we paid to stay at this hotel, I would expect breakfast to be included and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Restaurant didn’t open until 8.30pm which is too late for children to eat. After some searching we found a lovely little restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Stayed here in July. Hotel has a fantastic location on the front and there was an amazing sea view from our room. However, on returning to the room on the 2nd day we had no cups or satchets of coffee/milk for the morning. Love this place. We got here around 9.30-10 am after an overnight flight. Super tired with no sleep. Check-in time is 3pm. Staff (Gina & the other girl) was so accommodating and found us a room for us to check in earlier. The location is amazing with the beach and water views. Lovely hotel, located right across the street from the beach. Many restaurants close by. Great walkway for miles along the ocean. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Parking is hard though.

Beautiful hotel in Santander centre. Short trip to Santander, lovely hotel, mixing the old heritage of the building with modern style. Comfy bed, lovely breakfast and perfectly placed to walk round the city. Highly recommended- right next to plaza de Pombo.

Great hotel right in the centre of Santander , beautiful building with very friendly staff. The room was on the forth floor which was small but spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom, each room has a kettle and nespresso coffee maker , also water left in the room every day. Would definitely recommend to stay here if visiting Santander.

A beautiful hotel in a good location. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with a really sumptuous bed. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful and although we don't speak Spanish, there were no issues being understood.

Overall, I was satisfied. The view wasn't toward the harbor as shown in the photos, but rather toward the residential area on the other side, which was actually better in terms of noise. The breakfast could be more varied for a 4-star hotel. It's also a shame that they only offer Nespresso capsule machines for coffee.

Unbeatable location, comfortable, single room, and excellent cleanliness. The staff is also friendly, so I highly recommend it.

The rooms are small and the hotel is a little remote, but it is near the sea and you can see the yacht pier directly. It takes about five minutes to reach the prosperous area.
