Espectacular hotel!.. Great service especially the Bar!!
The hotel where the royal family used to vacation with friends may be a great choice if you are looking for a royal feeling.
I audibly squealed when I got to my room! This hotel will make you ooh and ahh on it's own, but the views it offers, too, just wow!! The service was fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the terrace has a cafe that serves small meals if you don't want a full dinner. Breakfast is on floor -1 with a beautiful set up and outdoor seating. The beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel...
I do not want to repeat what others wrote before me, but this hotel certainly did not feel like a 5-star property. Check-in - long line with one (excellent, hard-working) staffer trying to address many people. Elevator - a single elevator for a 5-story building with 120+ rooms? Really? Room - OLD, with furniture from 70s or 80s. Bathroom - neither functional nor ergonomic, with lots of marble. Towels...
This Hotel is much more.. it's an experience. . The views are spectacular, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable and spacious, the terrace is chilled and just the most beautiful space to eat, drink and relax... overall the decor is beautifully elegant. However, above all the staff are fantastic. a must visit, we have always throughly enjoyed our visits here...highly recommend
Gorgeous hotel, with character and history. Lovely relaxed stay. Beautiful spacious room. opening out onto a nice terrace. Excellent breakfast with a huge selection. Staff are top notch.

This is long overdue. We stayed here for three nights last summer and enjoyed every minute of it. The setting let alone remodeled historic structure are enough to draw us back to this wonderful hotel. We had dinner every night and the food was some of the best we had in all of our two weeks of travel across Spain. Embrace the unique charm of this hidden gem and you will certainly have a wonderful experience
Fabulous Authentic Small Luxury Hotel. Loved staying here this spring. Good food, lovely indoor pool, super comfy beds and gorgeous interiors. Surrounded by quiet farmland and pretty gardens. Staff were kind and helpful. Would love to return in the future.
Gorgeous Hotel Lovely rural boutique hotel. Gorgeous spa which we enjoyed all on our own - they light the fire for us and it was fabulous! Food very good indeed. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
Astonishing! One of the best experiences we’ve had after many trips. The location, atmosphere, architecture, decor, details, service, and attention were impeccable. Worth returning to.
We stayed for two very enjoyable nights. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful very calm & relaxing. The rooms are a tranquil oasis. We ate at the restaurant both nights all meals excellent & showed local ingredients. We loved our stay here, it was so nice.
I booked this property as s gift for a couple and their feedback was that the entire Helguera Team was absolutely outstanding . They took very good care of every small detail requested by Me , therefore making their stay even more special. Thank you all for making my friend’s stay so memorable.

High quality hotel situated in a very good location easily within walking distance to the beaches and local restaurants and bars. Room was clean and well appointed with air conditioning. Staff were friendly and efficient. No problem recommending this hotel. The outside look of the hotel is not particularly attractive but inside it is what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to the peninsula beach and within walking distance. The hotel is luxuriously decorated, the environment is comfortable, the front desk service is enthusiastic, the room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is large and easy to use, and the hotel breakfast is great, rich in content and tastes good. Dinner was also served at the hotel, a three-course French meal...
Historical building but renovated. The address is close to the beach but a bit far from the city center. There are restaurants near the hotel
Excellent “four star” hotel, Reception Staff helpful, professional and friendly, accommodation excellent. I do feel to pay an additional car parking charge of 15 euros in their underground garage area is frankly an unnecessary extra for hotel guests… parking in the surrounding streets is difficult. Food was just ordinary if a little overpriced, my Veal Entrecôte was mostly good but in parts tough...
Stayed at this hotel again, as always clean, attentive service, very good! Highly recommended.
A fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. The foyer to the hotel is large and inviting, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is just a 1 minute walk to the beach/sea front and there are lots of restaurants & bars very close by. The walk from the bay to the city centre is amazing along the beautifully clean and scenic promenade. All...

Yeah just go for this. Actually felt like a hotel in a great location. Avoid the hills
The room was very spacious, although the extra bed for children was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good, as was the staff's attention. The location was great.
Excellent location, large and comfortable room.
Very satisfied, but the facilities still need to be updated in time.
Although it is a four-star hotel, it is really simple and cannot be compared with domestic four-star hotels. The scenery is great, the breakfast is too ordinary, the decoration in the room is very ordinary, and there is no kettle as usual
A great hotel in a good location, breakfast was very good. Nice room and bathroom.

This property is at the edge of town, but if you have a car and want less hassle with parking and crowds, stay here. The staff is very nice, and they have a popular bar and cafeteria, even at the edge of town
Comfortable big room, quiet and helpful staff.
Like the large rooms. Very good breakfasts. Free use of swimming pool next door. Beach and supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get into Santander on numerous buses. Paseo al Cabo Mayor affords lovely views of the Sardinero beach.
The person at the front desk assisted me to obtaine medication I left at my previous hotel stay. She coordinated the delivery to me of the medication. Well beyond her responsibilities.
Stayed here for one night prior to getting the ferry back to the UK. From the outside the hotel looks like a concrete monstrosity built in the 1960's or 1970's. However, it is totally different on the inside, being very spacious and modern, especially the rooms. Reasonably quick and friendly check in. Large and secure underground parking is available for €15 a night, however I was advised by a local...
I stayed in Hotel Palacio del Mar for a couple of nights on a work trip to Santander. Over the service was good, the rooms were huge for what we paid and the location near the beach and the university was convenient. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special. The rooms did feel a bit dilapidated and one of my sheets was not very clean, so some renovations and improved cleaning would be welcome...

Absolutely fabulous, a modern hotel with a beautiful exterior, superb car parking, rooms are big and beds very comfortable, enourmous showers
We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay in this large hotel overlooking the beach. The room was of good size and well maintained. Free on-street parking was found behind the hotel. Local wine bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
Excellent location overlooking a nice beach. Clean and modern on the inside, with a retro facade that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding 19th century hotels around it. Reasonably priced in the winter, although I’m told summer prices can be eye watering. Overall highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is idyllic. It is facing the beach and water. The hotel has pleasing outside aesthetics, it seems to glow particularly in the night. The service received was okay. However, Eva from the reception was excellent and stood out. She made me feel welcome and was always smiling and helpful. The amenities work, even the air-conditioning. The rooms are fairly spacious and quiet which...
This is a fantastic hotel in which to relax and enjoy what is a very cosmopolitan town. The view from our room was spectacular and it offered a good level of comfort. The staff are hardworking and helpful and you have a choice of places to eat. The surrounding area offers excellent restaurants and bars if you want a walk.
Considering what we paid to stay at this hotel, I would expect breakfast to be included and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Restaurant didn’t open until 8.30pm which is too late for children to eat. After some searching we found a lovely little restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Balcony overlooking the beach was the best part of the room. Reception staff were polite and friendly...

Room is good, spacious, clean, but no view which is always disappointing but not a deal breaker! Service was fine at check in, although I had done the online check in, I'm not sure what the point was, felt like we were an inconvenience to the receptionist, great location, gym is small, didn't try the cafe
Great central location, near shops and the market and public transport. Room had everything you needed. Front desk staff helpful. Quiet rooms, hard bouncy beds though.
This is the second time we stay in this hotel and our expectations were met. We like the service in general and the location is perfect to know the city.
Great place to stay. Clean and friendly, good heart people!
Great hotel we'll located. Good bar, large rooms and spotlessly clean, the additionof a nespressocofffe machineis a welcome touch. I'd say the breakfast is a little too expensive so go next door to the Cafe botanico..... good coffee and sensible prices.
Very nice reception staff, very helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. Great location in the the centre of town.

Stayed here in July. Hotel has a fantastic location on the front and there was an amazing sea view from our room. However, on returning to the room on the 2nd day we had no cups or satchets of coffee/milk for the morning. When I went to reception to get some I was told that coffee etc was only complimentary on the first night - surely even 2 star hotels supply free satchets of coffee/tea etc! In the...
Air conditioning pour. The hotel staff very nice. The hotel needs esthetic repairs. Definitely not the money they ask for.
Love this place. We got here around 9.30-10 am after an overnight flight. Super tired with no sleep. Check-in time is 3pm. Staff (Gina & the other girl) was so accommodating and found us a room for us to check in earlier. The location is amazing with the beach and water views. We parked our rental car right in front for free. There's a casino next door. Great breakfast. Few KM's away from the center...
Lovely hotel, located right across the street from the beach. Many restaurants close by. Great walkway for miles along the ocean. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Parking is hard though.
Hotel is good and location is perfect, right in front of the beach.
It has been a wonderful experience. Both the location of the hotel and the service offered are unbeatable.

The front desk service is good and can communicate in English. There is a parking garage (extra charge, about 20 euros a day), close to the Magdalena Palace and can be reached on foot
This hotel is wonderful and is conveniently situated a short walk from the beautiful Sardinero beaches, restaurants and bars. The reception and bar/restaurant staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful, they spoke English very well. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable with great views of the sea and the housekeeping service was second to none. The breakfast buffet is delicious...
Good location close to the beach and restaurants. Clean room and public areas. Nice restaurant and breakfast
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Beautiful location and the amenities were excellent. The staff were wonderful, warm, friendly, and very professional. I recommend the hotel highly, and would definitely stay there again.
Nice clean hotel, very friendly staff, good location
I love this hotel. I love their service from front desk to housekeeping. The hotel is very clean. Also, i love the interior of my room. It’s very close to the beach as well. If ever I’ll come back to Santander, i’ll book again to this hotel.

Hotel is in a great location right beside the Food Hall, Mercado Del Este, and its decoration is nice. The rooms were nice and a nice size with big window balcony. Large Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom had a strong smell of sewage though but it was only in our room as far as II know. Reception staff were very efficeint and friendly. The breakfast was not great and when something...
Great location but more like a hostel than a hotel. Nice decor but not maintained properly.
Beautiful hotel in Santander centre. Short trip to Santander, lovely hotel, mixing the old heritage of the building with modern style. Comfy bed, lovely breakfast and perfectly placed to walk round the city. Highly recommended- right next to plaza de Pombo.
As I wrote on another website: We had a wonderful check-in with the young female on reception particularly when she found out that we had just completed the Portuguese Camino, we were talking to a fellow pilgrim, and whenever she saw in the hotel. What a delightful surprise I got when we entered our spacious and elegant corner room on the second floor with an enclosed balcony and plenty of fresh air...
Great hotel right in the centre of Santander , beautiful building with very friendly staff. The room was on the forth floor which was small but spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom, each room has a kettle and nespresso coffee maker , also water left in the room every day. Would definitely recommend to stay here if visiting Santander.
A beautiful hotel in a good location. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with a really sumptuous bed. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful and although we don't speak Spanish, there were no issues being understood.

Nice location and friendly staff.
Everything is fine, thank you!!
Overall, I was satisfied. The view wasn't toward the harbor as shown in the photos, but rather toward the residential area on the other side, which was actually better in terms of noise. The breakfast could be more varied for a 4-star hotel. It's also a shame that they only offer Nespresso capsule machines for coffee.
Unbeatable location, comfortable, single room, and excellent cleanliness. The staff is also friendly, so I highly recommend it.
The rooms are small and the hotel is a little remote, but it is near the sea and you can see the yacht pier directly. It takes about five minutes to reach the prosperous area.
Me and my partner had a lovely time at this hotel. With a 24/7 underground secure car park underground (directly in front of the hotel with a lift) it was absolutely perfect. Close to the city centre of Santander, and right by the marina, bars, restaurants and the main attractions in the city. The room was comfortable and very nice. However, the seals around the large windows in our room weren’t very...
