4 star hotels in Santander

Lovely clean hotel with big rooms and fantastic bathrooms. Very close to the beach and local amenities. Did not use the restaurant as there is plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering local food and pinchos. The clincher was the secure underground car park for a very small fee. We surely will use this hotel again if we return to Santander.

The hotel has some 90's vibes from the outside but very modern and clean in this inside. Rooms were clean and well equipped Breakfast was great ! But what I enjoyed the most was the kindness of every person working in that hotel! Some of the nicest people I ever met!!! Thank you!

We stayed for 2 nights while waiting for the ferry back to UK. The room was excellent. The deal including parking and breakfast was very good. The hot items on the breakfast buffet were cold even when fresh from the kitchen. We will stay with you again Thank you very much.

Great location close to El Sardinero Beach. A short (cheap) bus ride/ 25 minute walk from the town centre in a lovely neighbourhood. They mixed up our reservation and had us having a sea-view with 2 single beds. They didn't fix it the first night but told us come down in the morning. I did at 630 but they said come back at 930. So j did and then they got us a new room. Other than that the stag was nice, the area is great, and the beach is a simple 100 yards walk away.

Bring you own pillow, they are garbage. You can also climb through the drop ceiling into any room you want, so use the safe.

Like the large rooms. Very good breakfasts. Free use of swimming pool next door. Beach and supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get into Santander on numerous buses. Paseo al Cabo Mayor affords lovely views of the Sardinero beach.

Stayed here for one night prior to getting the ferry back to the UK. From the outside the hotel looks like a concrete monstrosity built in the 1960's or 1970's. This is a stunning Hotel and the team were amazing. Rooms was enormous and very well appointed and the receptionist Sophia was very welcoming will definitely stay again when in the area.

Senior suite was wonderful with a huge jacuzzi tub and plenty of room. Balcony with a view and a large comfortable bed. All amenities were very nice and in good order. Very pleasant visit! Spacious and we'll appointed.

Very comfortable hotel situated right at the front of the promenade with a great view over the sea, as long as the mist is not there! The hotel staff were all very helpful, l only wish my Spanish was as good as their English. All areas of the hotel were very clean and the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was good it was buffet style with a good selection to please most tastes.

A super hotel in every respect. Large comfortable room with a view of the city. Good breakfast, very convenient for the city centre and the ferry port. Helpful staff and easy parking via a car lift to the level assigned on arrival. Excellent restaurant if you want a meal and a cafeteria for out of hours snacks and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel or to revisit in the future.

Excellent location overlooking a nice beach. Clean and modern on the inside, with a retro facade that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding 19th century hotels around it. Reasonably priced in the winter, although I’m told summer prices can be eye watering. Overall highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is idyllic. It is facing the beach and water. The hotel has pleasing outside aesthetics, it seems to glow particularly in the night. The service received was okay. This is a fantastic hotel in which to relax and enjoy what is a very cosmopolitan town. The view from our room was spectacular and it offered a good level of comfort. The staff are hardworking and helpful and you have a choice of places to eat. The surrounding area offers excellent restaurants and bars if you want a walk.

Considering what we paid to stay at this hotel, I would expect breakfast to be included and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Restaurant didn’t open until 8.30pm which is too late for children to eat. After some searching we found a lovely little restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Pour value for the money 280€ a night The location is great the architecture impressive but inside it is cold and impersonal you are in Spain in Cantabria but you could be in Australia or in Texas as well. The welcome is cold and they only provide the strict minimum. Not even a bottle of water in the room. You feel the greediness of the owners.

Room is good, spacious, clean, but no view which is always disappointing but not a deal breaker! However, on returning to the room on the 2nd day we had no cups or satchets of coffee/milk for the morning. Love this place. We got here around 9.30-10 am after an overnight flight. Super tired with no sleep. Check-in time is 3pm. Staff (Gina & the other girl) was so accommodating and found us a room for us to check in earlier. The location is amazing with the beach and water views. Lovely hotel, located right across the street from the beach. Many restaurants close by. Great walkway for miles along the ocean. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Parking is hard though.

Very nice room with sea view. Location is very good, beach and lots of restaurants at walking distance. The room was big and the bathroom and the towels were great. When you are in a long vacation going from hotel to hotel you valued small things like big new towels. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was also ok.

Beautiful views overlooking the bay and marina. Though it was on main road, the room was quiet and we couldn't hear any traffic noise. Well located for an easy walk to local bars, restaurants, etc. Very good value hotel given its location.

Had a very short stay trying to get some sleep after some disrupted travel, but can say room was spotless, nicely decorated and with a very comfy bed. Probably the rooms facing Puertochico have a lovely view, but booking the cheaper ones gets you an internal window. Staff were friendly and helpful despite checking in the early hours.

I audibly squealed when I got to my room! This hotel will make you ooh and ahh on it's own, but the views it offers, too, just wow!! The service was fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the terrace has a cafe that serves small meals if you don't want a full dinner. I do not want to repeat what others wrote before me, but this hotel certainly did not feel like a 5-star property. Check-in - long line with one (excellent, hard-working) staffer trying to address many people. Elevator - a single elevator for a 5-story building with 120+ rooms? Really? Room - OLD, with furniture from 70s or 80s. Bathroom - neither functional nor ergonomic, with lots of marble. Towels...

This Hotel is much more.. it's an experience. . The views are spectacular, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable and spacious, the terrace is chilled and just the most beautiful space to eat,drink and relax... overall the decor is beautifully elegant. However, above all the staff are fantastic. a must visit, we have always throughly enjoyed our visits here...highly recommend
