Where to stay in Santander

Lovely clean hotel with big rooms and fantastic bathrooms. Very close to the beach and local amenities. Did not use the restaurant as there is plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering local food and pinchos. The clincher was the secure underground car park for a very small fee. We surely will use this hotel again if we return to Santander.

The hotel has some 90's vibes from the outside but very modern and clean in this inside. Rooms were clean and well equipped Breakfast was great ! But what I enjoyed the most was the kindness of every person working in that hotel! Some of the nicest people I ever met!!! Thank you!

We stayed for 2 nights while waiting for the ferry back to UK. The room was excellent. The deal including parking and breakfast was very good. The hot items on the breakfast buffet were cold even when fresh from the kitchen. We will stay with you again Thank you very much.

Great location close to El Sardinero Beach. A short (cheap) bus ride/ 25 minute walk from the town centre in a lovely neighbourhood. They mixed up our reservation and had us having a sea-view with 2 single beds. They didn't fix it the first night but told us come down in the morning. I did at 630 but they said come back at 930. So j did and then they got us a new room. Other than that the stag was nice, the area is great, and the beach is a simple 100 yards walk away.

Bring you own pillow, they are garbage. You can also climb through the drop ceiling into any room you want, so use the safe.

Like the large rooms. Very good breakfasts. Free use of swimming pool next door. Beach and supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get into Santander on numerous buses. Paseo al Cabo Mayor affords lovely views of the Sardinero beach.

Stayed here for one night prior to getting the ferry back to the UK. From the outside the hotel looks like a concrete monstrosity built in the 1960's or 1970's. This is a stunning Hotel and the team were amazing. Rooms was enormous and very well appointed and the receptionist Sophia was very welcoming will definitely stay again when in the area.

Very comfortable hotel situated right at the front of the promenade with a great view over the sea, as long as the mist is not there! The hotel staff were all very helpful, l only wish my Spanish was as good as their English. All areas of the hotel were very clean and the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was good it was buffet style with a good selection to please most tastes.

A super hotel in every respect. Large comfortable room with a view of the city. Good breakfast, very convenient for the city centre and the ferry port. Helpful staff and easy parking via a car lift to the level assigned on arrival. Excellent restaurant if you want a meal and a cafeteria for out of hours snacks and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel or to revisit in the future.

This is a fantastic hotel in which to relax and enjoy what is a very cosmopolitan town. The view from our room was spectacular and it offered a good level of comfort. The staff are hardworking and helpful and you have a choice of places to eat. The surrounding area offers excellent restaurants and bars if you want a walk.

Considering what we paid to stay at this hotel, I would expect breakfast to be included and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Restaurant didn’t open until 8.30pm which is too late for children to eat. After some searching we found a lovely little restaurant around the corner from the hotel. Pour value for the money 280€ a night The location is great the architecture impressive but inside it is cold and impersonal you are in Spain in Cantabria but you could be in Australia or in Texas as well. The welcome is cold and they only provide the strict minimum. Not even a bottle of water in the room. You feel the greediness of the owners.

Love this place. We got here around 9.30-10 am after an overnight flight. Super tired with no sleep. Check-in time is 3pm. Had a very short stay trying to get some sleep after some disrupted travel, but can say room was spotless, nicely decorated and with a very comfy bed. Probably the rooms facing Puertochico have a lovely view, but booking the cheaper ones gets you an internal window. Staff were friendly and helpful despite checking in the early hours.

A lovely hotel in Santander, we enjoyed our stay. It is not far from the center, but the area of the hotel is quiet and relaxing. It has to be noted that the area around the hotel is quite hilly. The breakfast provided was excellent, a variety of options to pick from. Lovely and helpful staff.

Tucked away in a little alley, this lovely hotel was a revelation. Perfectly located near cafes bars and the main shopping areas. The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in 4 hours early. Room was clean and spacious. Will definitely return in the future.

Good pick for solo travel, depending on the price. Rooms are not too big, but have good AC and comfortable bed. Plenty of room to hang clothes. Bathroom is decent, and well cleaned. Location is not the best, but reasonably close to the bus station, and not directly on the main street, so you can enjoy quiet. Several late-night options for dinner nearby.

Peaceful and relax hotel. They accept pets. Nice and friendly staff. Unfortunately the restaurant ws closed on Sunday but they recommendend an excellent restaurant in a 10 minutes walking distance or 2 min by car.

Lovely staff, so helpful. The rooms not luxury but very clean and comfortable. The beds so comfortable. The bar staff kind and helpful and the restaurant provides an adequate meal reasonably cooked and priced. I have stayed here frequently, and will certainly stay here again. All in all excellent service for the price with added friendliness and comfort.

This is a wonderful gem along the coast. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and with a spectacular view of the Atlantic ocean. There are restaurants within 10 min of driving. You can hike to the beaches or walk a section of the El Camino. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

Great site very well located. You can walk to Langre beach and very close by car to Loredo and Santander. The very cool house, with many activities and good breakfast. Very friendly staff always. Too bad they no longer have the horses, but all good.

The stay we have had with all my crew has been spectacular, the fantastic environment you can choose to go to the beach or walk along the cliffs. The house is very well equipped, the rooms and common areas are great and the attention of Juana, its owner, is phenomenal. We will come back for sure!!

Very cozy accommodation, attended by a dear family. Cozy place, without great pretensions, ideal to enjoy a few days in the countryside or play golf in the nearby field.

We spent 3 nights and my family and I have found it spectacular, absolute tranquility, a good place to relax and in nature. Juan and Carmina at all times have been concerned so that we do not lack anything and very attentive, a very good place to go with children I give it a 10 and without a doubt when I return to Cantabria we will repeat

A 10, because to begin with, Juan and his mother's treatment of their guests alone deserves it, everything impeccable, from the room with a rural atmosphere, to the views from its terrace... The homemade breakfast 100% unbeatable quality / price. As if you were from the house. He also did us a great favor... I audibly squealed when I got to my room! This hotel will make you ooh and ahh on it's own, but the views it offers, too, just wow!! The service was fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the terrace has a cafe that serves small meals if you don't want a full dinner. I do not want to repeat what others wrote before me, but this hotel certainly did not feel like a 5-star property. Check-in - long line with one (excellent, hard-working) staffer trying to address many people. Elevator - a single elevator for a 5-story building with 120+ rooms? Really? Room - OLD, with furniture from 70s or 80s. Bathroom - neither functional nor ergonomic, with lots of marble. Towels...

This Hotel is much more.. it's an experience. . The views are spectacular, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable and spacious, the terrace is chilled and just the most beautiful space to eat,drink and relax... overall the decor is beautifully elegant. However, above all the staff are fantastic. a must visit, we have always throughly enjoyed our visits here...highly recommend

Very good location if you are in transit in Santander. Very close (5 minutes walking) to the train station and bus terminal. Close to the sea. The hotel is basic, but very clean.

First hotel we came across when arriving in santander for the ferry. Very close to the port with great little bars around. The room was perfectly adequate and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced considering it's location. I would highly recommend.

Lovely little hotel. A little out dated but extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean!!! The room was dark as the shutter seemed down but the view wasn't anything special!!! Not posh But really clean and hard working staff. Has its own cafe where you can buy breakfast etc the reception desk will help with anything you need to know... If you can't speak Spanish get the App on your phone that translates English into Spanish and vice versa.
