Casona de San Andrés Hotel

While I stayed at this hotel there were construction works going on behind the wall of my room with loud noises from hammering and drilling all day which made impossible to rest and caused headaches and distress. Hotel staff refused to change my room or grant refund for an early checkout. They didn’t suggest any alternative solution and instead acted with rudeness and arrogance. A very very bad experience.

AVOID :: It is hard to explain how poor our experience was at this hotel. We booked 3 rooms. On check in one room had no window (as in their was a hole in the wall straight to the fresh air and we found bricks and cement on the bed (room was changed). The next room was being finished by the maid who shouted at my wife to get out. Once access was gained to the finished room the blind did not go up or down and so maintenance had to do this manually. Then the door fell off which only by grace didn't injure my daughter. The baths didn't have plugs, the shower didn't work in one of the rooms, the air con worked in 2 out of 3 rooms, the safe didn't work, there was rubble left outside our room along with open bags of cement. The work started exceptionally early banging and waking everyone up.

I spoke to reception and they agreed it was unacceptable and that management would process a refund on 2 of the 3 booked rooms. After we checked out the manager changed his mind (surprise surprise) and has refused to refund.

Good location though.
