Hotel Ritual Torremolinos- Adults Only

My partner and I liked the location of this hotel and the size of the rooms but unfortunately the room was lacking in comfort. First the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable I could not get a good nights rest on it so I tried sleeping on the chase lounge in the room which was about a foot too short but still more comfortable than the bed. The second issue was the bathroom: the sink was very slow to drain, the lighting was horrible, the shower was tiny and the shower head hose leaked. This hotel does have great views and a very beautiful pool area off the ground floor along with a rooftop pool which neither of us used. We did have the breakfast, which was included, but it was pretty mediocre.

It's a 3-star hotel. Let's keep it at that. It's a gay hotel so that's what you're paying for. The staff aren't really friendly, they're as polite as prison guards. The rooftop pool closes at 8pm and they make sure you know it. The buffet breakfast is £15 and not money will spent. The "orange juice" wasn't even from concentrate. The fresh fruits were good. Tea selection limited. Coffee machine was okay. The bread choices all had a funny dense texture that felt like the yeast wasn't allowed to fluff up the dough enough. The partially burnt bacon had parts of it undercooked. I don't know. At this point I'm just ranting because that staff seemed sad & hostile. It's a gay hotel, find happy gay staff. There's a lot of them in the better restaurants on the beach.

Our stay was three nights in September 2024. We were in room 518.

The room was far from cozy, painted floors throughout and very firm beds, so sleeping was really uncomfortable. The Bathroom was basic and felt unclean. All in all the room and the bathroom had an extremely dated feel. Even the towels were small and very old. The entire room space had a very odd smell, maybe too much bleach, but it smelled of mothballs!
The pool area served a purpose, but it is very unattractive and little effort or money has been invested into making this space feel anywhere close to stylish or comfortable.
The reception area was okay. A bit like walking into a shopping mall.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant so no comment.
The service was polite and friendly throughout.
In summary, we wouldn’t rush back, however it’s a great spot location wise for access to the Gay bars and whilst a little tricky (144 steps when open, or a 15 minutes walk) the beach is a short distance. Make sure you ask at reception for the key to the beach which gives you access via a private route.
