Returned from our 7th visit two weeks ago staying in a pool access room.over a number of years we have stayed in all 3 hotels in this complex, we prefer the don pedro for rooms and bar area and swimming pool.last year we stayed in a pool access room and decided to again this stay, room was good size with walk in shower ,outside patio set and sun loungers.last year we were closed to the bar area where there was more hedges and trees and our room was constantly covered in flies ,so it was a nicer experience this time.we went all inclusive as we know we can have all the types of drinks we like and can choose to eat 3 meals if we wanted to,most days we had breakfast and 1 other meal.we know the food here at breakfast is good and lunch and dinner can be hit or miss, this time both my partner and myself found plenty to eat.the restaurant in don pedro was only serving breakfast whilst we were there not sure why but it didn't impact us having to go to pablo restaurant 4 lunch or dinner.we pretty much stayed at thd don pedro pool each day as it has large steps down into the pool and I have few mobility issues so was great for me.we did put towels down each day but we were on our beds before 9am Most days and we did witness staff putting notes on beds informing people if they didnt return within 1 hour and 15 mins then towels would be removed.most people from what I saw had beds and umbrellas if they needed them, although you always get the selfish people who take more beds than they needed. We have always previously gone to torremolinos in September but decided this time to go in july,it was very hot most days and having a room so close to the pool was a great relief from the heat.air con in our room was very good infact we had to turn it off at night as we were too cold.we had continental breakfast on our terrace 1 morning which was lovely.all staff we encounted were lovely and work hard..few negative points ..the pool area really needs a deep clean the tiles have blk mould and have been like this a number of years ,there are also numerous broken tiles in the pool area.our patio had 4 broken tiles which could be a trip hazard and our sunbeds had bird poo on them when we arrived and outside wasnt cleaned all week ,some of the chairs around bar area were dirty and weren't cleaned all week, outside our gate the area was awful it desperately needed good proper wash down.this hotel isn't cheap and this negative things can easily be fixed.im sure we will return again as the location is great for us.

Pool Area: A Hygiene Hazard, Not a Holiday Haven The pool area, a focal point for any sun-soaked getaway, was alarmingly below par. The surrounding tiles were coated with black mould, which seemed ground into the grout. Even more concerning, loose tiles could be lifted by hand, presenting a safety hazard. The pool water itself was murky and consistently contained floating debris—not just leaves, but detritus that hinted at poor filtration and cleaning. At no point during my two-week stay did the water appear clean or inviting. In fact, I avoided entering the pool altogether after day three. Despite signage and enforcement around ball games and inflatables, which lifeguards acted on immediately, there was zero enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Guests smoked freely around the pool area, often near children and non-smokers. The hypocrisy of cracking down on harmless child’s play while allowing a genuine health hazard to go unchecked was staggering. Food & Beverage: The Worst All-Inclusive Experience of My Career Having experienced a high volume of all-inclusive properties worldwide, I can confidently say this was the most underwhelming food and beverage offering I have ever encountered. Snacks were not readily available. If you fancied something between meals, you had to trek to the opposite end of the complex only to find a depressing buffet of limp pizza, stale fries under heat lamps, and plastic-wrapped toasties—which you had to toast yourself in a filthy communal machine. Meal times offered little respite, with poor variety, bland flavours, and menus that felt completely unaccommodating to British or international palates. This is Spain—a nation renowned for vibrant cuisine—but little of that translated to the buffet trays of Sol Don Pedro. The drinks offering was equally bleak, with a very limited selection of local spirits and soft drinks, and cheap ice lollies passed off as part of the inclusive package. Evening Entertainment: Loud, Limited and Lacking Choice While it’s understandable that entertainment is a staple of resort life, Sol Don Pedro’s evening programme offered no consideration for guests seeking a tranquil evening. The three main entertainment zones competed with one another, with overpowering music and cabaret echoing throughout the grounds. There were no “quiet corners” for guests who might want to simply enjoy a cocktail under the stars. It was as if the entire resort had been designed solely for loud group travellers, with no room for a more laid-back experience. Staff: The Silver Lining In fairness, it would be remiss not to praise the friendly and attentive staff particularly the receptionists, who remained professional, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout. Sadly, their efforts were not enough to salvage an otherwise poor experience. Final Verdict: A Resort in Decline, and Not Worth the Cost I paid a considerable amount for what should have been a stress-free two-week all-inclusive escape. What

Family of 6 which included 4 disabled persons (1 complete non-walker). We had previously requested 2 rooms with walk-in showers which were duly provided. The holiday was enjoyed by all as the service, cleanliness, catering and entertainment could not be faulted. However the stay was marred by some impacting problems: We had requested assistance at both airports and these were great. As the coach dropped us hundreds of metres from the hotel and no provision had been made to get us into the hotel. This was very difficult. The second problem was that we had booked into the Don Pedro, some of the facilities were actually based in the Don Pablo. The bar in the Pedro was advertised as serving snacks during the afternoon. We used this facility on our first day and attempted to do the same the next day. The bar staff refused to give us a menu stating that we had to use the facilities in the Pablo or charge us 30 per cent of the menu prices even though we were all inclusive! We challenged this and eventually got a concession that I (the non-walker) could use the Pedro bar, but the rest of the party couldn't! Sounds crazy! Finally, as a general comment about sun beds and "towel reservation" of same, all 4 disabled people observed all the rules and took our chances with getting beds. The Pedro has a policy of not allowing "towel reservation" beyond a 90 minute window although the policing of which is very hit-and-miss. We did note however, that the lifeguard had a little arrangement with a number of Spanish guests and gave them what amounted to a "blue badge" pass affixed to their beds, thus absolving them of any restrictions. None of these (mostly young) people were obviously disabled in any way. Strange that? None of us were offered this facility. Overall, the hotel (or should that be "complex?") is very presentable and obviously provides a really good experience for most. If you are disabled, then maybe not so good? The management really do need to make all guests fully aware of any restrictions or conditions.

This was our second visit to this hotel, having stayed there in November. Firstly the staff are amazing, they just never stop cleaning and maintaining the whole place. The food was excellent, always something to suit every palate. The whole towels on sunbeds from 7am was a utter joke, having said that we did witness a couple who actually had 2 beds in 2 different areas of 2 pools, very selfish behaviour when sunbeds were so hard to get, others had towels on the sunbeds all day and then eventually turned up late afternoon and waltzed straight on them, the 90min sign to stop this happening is not been acted upon and something more strikt needs to be done as this kind of thing will continue if it's allowed to. Disgusting behaviour.. My Spa treatment fell short of the one I had in November. The pool where the jacuzzi is situated is showing signs of age and would benefit from a total makeover, as its a beautiful relaxing spot. Entertainment was mixed, the Spanish guitarist and vocalist were the highlight of our stay. They were brilliant. Taxi transfer to airport was €20 and excellent value.

We visited in April. My son loved the holiday, especially the indoor pool and the play park area. We were all inclusive and there was a good selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner and the bar has some nice snack menus too. Don Pablo was being renovated but it did not impact our stay one iota. Hopefully we will return some day. The hotel is just across the road from the beach which is great.

Spent a few nights here. We’ve been here a few times but this time was disappointing. Check in was great, staff really helpful. The room was just ok, bit dated, small and musty smelling, we had a leaking roof in the bathroom and could hear adjoining rooms TV all night. Complained to receptionist who didn’t do anything. The usual breakfast area was closed so everybody was in the don pablo restaurant which was so busy. Far too many people in one room, food was mediocre. Didn’t bother going after the first day. I’m sure when all the work is completed it will be good, but let down this time.

I cannot say anything positive about this hotel. The room was small, old and the walls paper thin, the first room I was put in being unclean and overlooking a construction site. Even though breakfast was included, I only ate once as the quality of the food and coffee was so bad, it tasted of nothing, while the pool was closed early in the day and not available in the evening. I tried to cancel my booking but could not, but was so happy to be able to leave after my 3 day stay. Perhaps the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, while not being cheap.

Had a fabulous Christmas and New Year.
In a great location and the grounds and swimming pools were wonderful.
The rooms were amazing and so comfortable and clean.
The choice and quality of food was excellent.
The Gala buffet on Christmas Day and the Gala meal on New Year's Eve both brilliant.
All the staff so friendly and helpful.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent stay at the don pedro, 5 days all inclusive and we found the food/ drinks were very good There was never a rush for loungers around the pools and the setting was very clean and tranquil. Hotel staff were very efficient and friendly. A lovely relaxing break.

After doing my weeks of research, I finally booked this complex. It was clean, contemporary architecture and in a good location. We stayed in a Sol Xtra Family room bookable via melia rewards for agents, with a side sea view. King size bed and ensuite and another adjoining room with pull out sofa bed and another bathroom and wardrobes/ lobby area. For 3 nights the room was budget friendly and well appointed. With a small fridge and kettle etc. Breakfast was very good quality and choice for the pickiest of eaters. Outdoor Pools were chilly as it was November but didn’t stop our children. There was also an indoor pool on the complex, which was fairly large. Lots of sundress and places to relax, either bars or outside in the sunshine. Regular evening entertainment and kids club activities, however we didn’t join in with these. Coupled it with a trip to Malaga which was just beautiful too.
