Soho Boutique Colón Hotel

Probably the worst experience at a 4-star hotel, especially considering the high price for what they offer: • The room had been renovated superficially (just the walls), but was extremely uncomfortable: • The mattress felt like a pile of fur. I asked them to replace it, they said it would be taken care of, but they left the same mattress — absolutely nothing was changed. How can you do something like that? • There was no wardrobe in the room, just a bar with three hangers!!! • The balcony door wouldn’t close. I requested it to be fixed, the technicians came, said it couldn’t be repaired, but at reception they claimed “the problem was solved,” assuming we couldn’t communicate with the staff who didn’t speak English. • We couldn’t sleep a wink during our stay, it completely ruined our vacation — we couldn’t wait to go home… • The cleanliness was very poor: old, rough towels; no vanity kit; absolutely no consumables in the room. • Breakfast was very poor quality, served in a basement room with spider webs in the corners — it was honestly scary to sit down and eat. The food was like at a 3-star hotel, and even the fruit, in Spain of all places, was sour. 😐 In conclusion, I do not recommend this hotel — especially due to the noise, the lack of cleanliness, and the staff, who didn’t take any action. We paid a lot for nothing. This is probably a 3-star hotel at best… Do not go there!
