Barcelo Valencia

Very nice hotel in a great location - easy walking distance to many restaurants, parks & the City of Arts & Sciences as well as bus stops outside that provide a very easy journey to both the beach & the old town. Our room was modern & clean with a nice view. Breakfast selection was excellent & all the staff were friendly & helpful. The rooftop bar has excellent views, the pool area is nice, although note that the pool isn't large enough for swimming but ok for a refreshing dip in hot weather.

Plus: very nice room, good beds, everything as it should be. Véry friendly staff!
Also easy to find and everything is close by.

A bit of nagging: waiter forgot a meal order and the bathroom is due for a make-over; shower head cannot be adjusted and -to me- a bath is quite outdated.

All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel 👍

Hotel was lovely, room was clean, good size with a huge bed. The rooftop pool was very disappointing and not at all what we were expecting. It is tiny, you can only get a few people in it at the time, and there wasn’t much space for sitting near the pool either. The rooftop bar was good, but does not open until the evening and doesn’t offer any food or snacks. We declined to pay to include breakfast as we could get better food for cheaper within a short walk.

I had one of the best travel experiences of my life in this wonderful Hotel. And I'm going to explain why.
The hotel's location is perfect, close to many main attractions and with easy access to public transport.
The services, technology and facilities of the hotel are really very good.
The cleanliness and the staff that takes care of this area are impeccable.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options.
The bar and the views from the 10th floor are incredible.
I had already been to hotels with these characteristics, so what made the difference and made it one of the best hotels I stayed in in my life was the excellence in the service and warmth of the front desk reception staff. They are helpful, professional, warm and were always there to answer any questions about the Hotel, tours in the city and more.
And I noticed this with several who addressed them.
The truth is, I travel and I am a businessman, and this hotel became one of the best I stayed in in my life because of them! Incredible!!!
I will return to this Hotel and to Valencia together they add up to an unforgettable experience.

This is a great hotel right next to Valencia’s city of Art and science , excellent if you have a show or something to do there. It’s about midway between the old city and the beach and convenient to neither if that is important. The hotel belongs to the Spanish chain Barcelo and you only need to stay more than 3 times in their hotels in order to get to the second tier which gets you discounts and upgrades - I got upgraded to the junior suite this time which was very spacious, convenient and pampering, good AC. There is a very good restaurant and a nice popular terrace bar on the rooftop. Breakfast is also quite good. The gym is tiny and very hot (in a room with large windows and weak AC) so not the best. All the people I interacted with were nice and forthcoming. All in all, depending on your location needs this is a great hotel.

Well located in the heart of the city. The room was very large and clean. The TV had almost no English channels but we were too busy to use it anyway. The rooftop bar was lovely but, sadly, the pool was closed for maintenance. The breakfast buffet was amazing!

10/10 would go again.

The city of arts and sciences is just a 5 Minute away, good bus connection to the beach and the old town.

Breakfast is quite cheap and exceptionally good! Either book it before or decide spontaneously.

Staff very friendly and helpful.
Rooftop bar is a must and they have heaters for when it’s a bit chilly.
Breakfast is OK.
A bit of traffic noise if your room is on the front.
Great location for us. Easy walking distance of the parks and Science centre.
Taxi from the Airport was €30
Hop on off bus tour about a 10 min walk away and it takes 2 hrs to complete the loop.
Marina is walkable for active people. 45 mins steady pace.
I would return without hesitation.

Very nice hotel, good location, delicous breakfast, nice view from the rooftop bar, but the rooftop pool is not working - only in the summer season. ( Informations about this - nowhere - only in the comments from others, who were also disappointed) Middle of may - 27 degrees, and there is no option to chill and relax by the pool. I read the comments only last minute, I contacted the hotel by email-answer was naturally negative, but it was too late to find an other hotel.Big minus
