Hotelli Nuuksio

Went there for lunch. They just had one soup as option which you got in a plastic bowel for 15 euros. Nature is great, and the soup was not bad but it is shocking to see that a hotel restaurant offers such a low level service.

Receptionist was extremely rude when we booked. After conversing about how to get the keys late in the night, we decided to test the key retrieval system and it didn't work (it should work by them sending and email with a code to unlock a locker with your key, the test email never came through)

We had ordered a place for 5 people, two two person rooms with one having an extra bed. They never added the extra bed. We only received the bed only when we booked in for the night at 4 am and had to call reception to get the bed.

In addition to this, the room didn't have AC at all and was almost hell to sleep, reaching temperatures of over 28°C during the night.

The continental breakfast was mediocre at best.

Summary:
Would not stay at this hotel.

Only great thing about this hotel is The National Park surrounding it. There was a sauna by the lakeside but hotel guests could`t use it, even though we stayed for the whole weekend it was totally booked for private events. Sauna indoors was available for two ours, exactly the same two ours that there was a dinner buffet, from 5 to 7 p.m. After that you couldn't get any food and there wasn't even restaurants near. Rooms are very modest with no facilities at all, no fridge or electric kettle etc. The staff seemed pretty bored. Wouldn't stay there again but I do recommend hiking or trail running in Nuuksio National Park.

The room was poorly cleaned with sand on the floors and a previous guest' underwear behind the bed. The room was feeling pretty old and heavy used, but the bed was OK and not too soft. The food that we got served for dinner buffet was almost all gone when we arrived and was of a questionable quality. Their website gives you a different impression with local and 'luomu' but the vast majority of the food had neither of these characteristics. On a brighter note, the breakfast was OKish and the sauna next to the lake was lovely. I don't think we will stay here an other time.
