Mas de la Chapelle

The location itself is stunning
But access is via narrow country lanes

Mas de la Chapelle is full of charm and character with beautiful grounds to stroll around. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I loved the eclectic decor and the bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious.

My husband and I stayed here for (unfortunately) only one night. We absolutely loved the place! It was so charming, beautiful, and romantic. Our room was the Indian room, and it was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. It was a full buffet of pastries, milk, juice, coffee, cheeses and meats, bread and difference jams, etc. just the most adorable and yummy French breakfast. The actual grounds of the bed and breakfast were stunning. We walked around their property for a nice morning walk. There are statues, water fountains and pools with koi. Wisteria and other blossoming plants and trees. The whole establishment was beautiful. We had only booked for one night, and I wished we could have stayed there several nights. I now want to go back to Arles just to stay at this place again.

We also really appreciated the lady who greeted us when we checked in, Andrea. We had received a text saying the reception would close at 8 pm and it gave us the information to open the security gate and how to find our room since we would be arriving later than that. However, we arrived about 8:30 pm and Andrea was still there waiting for us. She walked us through everything we needed to know about the hotel and gave us a little tour. She even gave us a map of Arles and had made notes on it and circled places to park and best places to eat. She was super sweet and really appreciated all she did.

There are also two beautiful German shepherds that come to greet you when you arrive and a cat that we adored. All that to say, we were so impressed with our stay and will recommend to any couple that wants a relaxing, romantic bed and breakfast.

lovely pool and garden, though somewhat overgrown (romantic, if you’re that kind of person);
rooms greatly vary: one of the rooms we had booked was spacious, comfortable and well decorated - on the other hand one room was over decorated and rather dark;
breakfast not too much variety but great quality

Wonderfully quant estate style hotel, just beyond the outskirts of Arles.

This is not a Best Western or Hilton: it's so much more! A truly boutique plane to escape to, with extensive gardens (6 hectares, I was told!) and lovely landscaping.

There is a large pool by the house but quite secluded, and a spa that I didn't use.

Cannot recommend highly enough

If you are looking for a luxury accommodation with history in a quite place then you'll enjoy Mas De la Chapelle. It is out of Arles and don't expect shopping around, it is in the country side and it takes patience to find it, but you can't miss it. It was originally a monastery connected to the Knights of Malta and the crusaders. It's now a luxury hotel with swimming pool and facilities to relax in a calm environment immersed in nature.
