Great place for a romantic weekend. I only gave 4 stars for the room as there was no air conditioning and it was a hot day so difficult to sleep. Otherwise it is a very nice place.

I modify my review, trying to be fair, I probably expected to much before my arrival.
The building is authentic 14th century and certainly marvelous. The rooms have a lot of charme and give you a genuine feeling of the past. No aircon or insect screens though.
The restaurant is quite good (Bistro, main restaurant was closed). Head waiter was very professional, rest of the staff not so much.
The premises are nice, but unfortunately the modern world built an industrial zone just beneath it, so you have road and rail noise when you try to relax at the pool.
The property could benefit from some investment into maintenance (Pool, Parking, Bathrooms). Everything is clean but a refresh wouldn't harm.
Staff overall looked kind of bored or unhappy to me. Thus, I was missing the feeling of being truly welcomed.
I think it's a 3 star hotel with potential to become a real 4 star. Recommended if you get a good rate.

We stay 3 adults and one child here in large 2 floors room. Very very helpful personal both on reception and in restoran. Very friendly. Nice view, interesting history of the place. 10 min from city centre by taxi or car. Recommended for rest and good feeling.

It's a shame that there aren't enough staff in the room! In addition, the English speaking staff is very professional and proactive! Good food, some pairings on the plate were great, others were disturbing (to see again?) I advise you to hire more staff, poor people!

You come to a large (free) car park and are faced with this magnificent, very well maintained castle. You walk in and are warmly greeted by staff who will ensure your stay goes smoothly. Luxurious, spacious and clean room. You are immersed in another world, time has stopped, we would like to stay there. Try it 👍

During the week we went to the restaurant La Cantine, which is located in the castle. When you arrive, it's a change of scenery. It's impossible to believe that on the heights of Chambery. This is magic !! Large terrace, warm welcome. Choice of food. Menu on the board. Wine selection. Affordable price for such a beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel close to Chambery. It was too cold for the outside pool the night we were there but it did look lovely. We had dinner in their more casual restaurant and it was very nice at a reasonable price. Good allergy assistance also. We had a good rate as last minute booking and a room very close to the restaurant which was fine at night but in the morning from early you could hear the door banging shut a lot. But we did get a good rate and if you are an early riser to explore their grounds that would be fine. The room was lovely with a freestanding bath and a sofa and a very comfy bed and chateau-y decor. Really enjoyed a glass of their own wine in the bar as well. Friendly service and clean and comfortable.

A very warm welcome. The place is great. The pool is wonderful. There is nothing special for the staff. Very good food at Orangerie with a very friendly chef. Very nice comfortable room with great attention. I recommend it!

An open menu with original flavors, served by attentive and friendly staff, without forgetting a very pleasant environment. An experience not to be missed. In addition, excellent value for money.
