Best Western Alexander Park Chambery

Some English communication problem in reception. Room clean.

One night through the gift box I used at a wedding.....and I was ecstatic!!! Spacious, comfortable, clean room; very smiling and hospitable staff; excellent and plentiful food; very nice exterior with games for children; a very varied breakfast, fresh, delicious, and a pancake machine, which made my daughter happy! Very good address, I recommend it!

Happily surprised with the quality of every service available at the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. They reached out to us in advance to ask us if we had any specific preference for a room, or any specific request. It’s close to Chambery and only 15 minutes away from Aix les bains area. A complimentary breakfast can be found and it’s well organised with international standards and local additions from Savoir as well.

Decent fo an overnight stay. We chose this hotel because we were passing through on our way to the south of France. They have a restaurant on site which made it convenient.
The rooms were adequate and fairly comfortable.

Great stop off spot with pool, restaurant, and the best air con I've ever experienced in a hotel room! Lots of play equipment for younger kids in the grounds.

Receptionist staff very friendly and welcoming even if they told me my check out bill was €1200 rather than €120!! A small misunderstanding which was quickly rectified.

We stayed here with 2 dogs who were allowed to go everywhere with us (there were no signs about where they could and could not go and so we just assumed it was fine!) and a big terrace so they could sit with us at dinner in the restaurant.

There is a football table in the bar area which keeps older kids occupied for 30mins/1€

One small niggle was that we were not permitted to use the large shady seating area on the terrace during the afternoon when our children were playing in the pool. We were told by a member of the restaurant staff to go sit elsewhere. There were several picnic tables etc to sit at under trees which were shaded so we relocated there but these were quite a distance away from the pool and on stone and gravel ground. This spot was unsuitable for supervising children in the pool, you could not walk over there from the pool with bare feet, and also was unsuitable for our old dog to rest on. The ground covering made everyone dusty from the gravel when we had wanted to stay clean, especially when the children came in and out of the pool. There were better seating areas closer to the pool but they were occupied. Something to bear in mind when planning footwear for pool use!

They were very strict about the 4pm check-in time.
