Welcome to our "cabinet of curiosities." An unusual hotel where breakfast, WiFi and good humor are included in the price. Note to the curious: the Michelin Man, Clermont landscapes, rugby balls... the second you get here, you'll be intrigued! Appetite comes with eating, so head to the breakfast room. Enjoy with lamps suspended above your head! As for rooms? You'll be intoxicated by the nature of Auvergne.
Hotel opened in 1978, renovated in 2001.

I gave it 5 stars overall not because it is a five star hotel, but because it is an excellent value for your money and because the people who run the hotel do their absolute best with the resources they have. Moreover, with little money they did an amazing job in decorating the rooms and the entire hotel.
The location is not the best because it’s a little far from downtown but it’s very convenient if you take the train, which is why I still gave it a positive rating. I would come back anytime if I am looking for a budget friendly option.

Amazing location, good service and manageable room and services.
Almost opposite to the railway station and well connected to all major attractions through public transport.
Rooms were not quite large and breakfast options limited for vegetarian. Being Indian vegetarian, my priority was to have hit water availability (Electric kettle). They replied to my mail, confirming support of hot water through breakfast room. In reality, was helped as promised online.
Would come again for the welcoming receptionist lady with English and great smile.

Nice people, great breakfast, room quite good for the price, conveniently facing the train station. Somewhat far from the city center but at a walking distance. All this on a very interesting city.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Hadn’t realised that breakfast was included which was great value. Good views of the mountains from the higher floors. The breakfast was very good - everything you could want. No tea and coffee in the room but free hot drinks from a machine 24 hours. Parking was secure.

Excellent checking. Great room. Great breakfast. Just a stopover for one night. 3mins walk from the rail station.

Quirky Ibis Styles Hotel. Good location for the station but about a 20-minute walk to the centre restaurants. Pre booked parking at an additional cost of 9.5 euros. Good secure car park at the rear of the hotel. Room and hotel has a quirky style. The breakfast area is very small and can be busy, but the lady is looking after it works very hard to keep clean and topped up with food. Young man, on reception, spoke good English. No Accor benefits, no welcome drink ( gold member ), and I had to contact Accor customer service to get loyalty points/night added to my account.

good sized quiet triple room with great views on 6th floor. Good breakfast though busy. Good parking. Short 15min walk to historic centre. Reception gave good restaurant recommendations and were v helpful including on the phone.

The location (just across from the station) is why we chose the hotel - (1) we arrived by train from Paris (2) next morning, we were able to take the train to Aulnat airport to pickup our car rental from Hertz. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms seemed unusually small (have stayed in many ibis styles properties elsewhere), but beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Note to guests and hotel staff : there is a train (TER) running between Clermont Ferrand station and Vertaizon, which stops at Aulnat airport and makes for a quick (7 mins) and cost effective (1.5E ticket) airport transfer, which we did eventually take. The frequency is somewhat limited though, so if you can work with that timetable, its a better idea than expensive airport taxis. Just thought I should clarify this, as there seemed to be some confusion over this possibility.

It is a small quite and pleasant hotel with nice people working there. The location of hotel is really comfortable. The room was tidy, with all necessary things. The mirror was really big ;) The bath was small and the shower cabin was a bit strange as there was no cabin or door to restrain water drops 😄
