Reviews
Everything about the hotel is great. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Great Breakfast. Great facilities. Rooms are fantastic.
Couldn't recommend more highly.
We visited as a family of 18 members ranging in age from 5yrs to 70yrs and EVERYONE had an amazing experience!
The little ones especially enjoyed the heated swimming pool and the teenagers the games room. The adults loved the spa facilities, swimming pool and cozy bar area with it's beautiful fireplace and comfortable seating area. The complimentary sweets in large glass jars which were placed in the lobby for all to enjoy on a daily basis was a huge hit among young AND old.
The rooms were large, comfortable, beautifully decorated and had the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains. They were serviced on a daily basis and therefore always clean.
The location of the Hotel Can Not be beaten.
It is easily accessible by car, bus or minibus.
We travelled by train from Paris to Moutiers and then by Taxi Minibus from Moutiers straight to the doorstep of the Hotel in Reberty.
Being able to catch the free tourist bus from right outside the hotel to get around (to Les Menuires and surrounding villages / restaurants etc.) is a huge win but best of all is the ability to Ski OUT and back INTO the hotel itself - no need for walking / bussing it to the nearest ski lift / school.
The Ski Equipment Shop located INSIDE the Hotel is an incredible value-add as this makes it possible to arrive, collect your equipment and take it downstairs to the huge ski boot room for storage.
The Ski Boot Room is large, with lots of seating space to put on your boots comfortably.
It has it's own ablution facilities which is great as you often need it just before you depart for a day on the slopes and the children all loved the complimentary hot chocolate / coffee machine in this room too.
Breakfast was a delight with countless options of pastries, breads and cakes, complimented by freshly cooked omelets, bacon, eggs etc. as well as cold options such as fresh cheeses, salmon and cold meats.
Dinner was wonderful too BUT we did feel that it started a bit late - 19:30 is quite late for little children to eat.
The beautiful 3 course menu means that dinner is often lengthy and the younger children (and therefore the parents) found it hard to enjoy the dinner experience to it's full potential as the children would get tired and restless.
I would recommend that an option to serve families with young children earlier (around 17:30 / 18:00pm) be strongly considered.
Families can then choose their dinner time slot to suit their needs.
The entire hotel staff compliment - from receptionists, room service staff, cleaners, waiters & bar tenders can be praised for their professionalism, attention to detail and desire to please & assist their guests.
They are friendly, kind and caring and we found that nothing was ever too much to ask. They were always happy to accommodate us wherever they can.
We can not wait to return to Chalet Hotel Kaya and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the ultimate skiing holiday in the French Alpes.
- rooms are comfortable and cosy;
- there’s a swimming pool and spa available for kids as well;
- kids club (sadly we didn’t use)
- nice bar with a fireplace and a good restaurants with tasty breakfasts and dinners;
- ski shop just inside the hotel;
- access to the slopes;
- kids ski schools just 100m away;
- nice and quite area;
And moreover, the staff are super friendly. Thanks to Nicolas and Guillaume for our great stay 🙏
We had breakfast at the hotel - everything is fine, the service is of course for 4, there are problems with English, well, the guys are not in a hurry...Although the manager certainly goes out of his way - he tries very hard!!)). Anyone who does not take dinners at the hotel (and they are not so cheap there) risks staying hungry)). There is a restaurant nearby, but you need to sign up there in a day, as it will be all busy. If you want to save money, there are a couple of grocery stores downstairs - you can buy everything there. One (Sherpa) is 5 minutes on foot, the other is Carrefour (10 minutes by bus). Just check the opening hours - they may close early. You can also have dinner downstairs - there are many cafes with different menus...
About the rooms - we had 3 of them - standard and family. Not a bad repair, good daily cleaning. But something was not clear with the refrigerators - they did not work(. We kept everything on the balcony (with a gorgeous view of the slope), periodically some animals were stolen from us (. The kettle didn't work for us, maybe it could have been changed, but we didn't use it much...But in general, the staff is very responsive and pleasant).
The equipment was stored in a special room on the 2nd floor, very convenient, the elevator goes down there.
There is a spa area with a swimming pool, hammam and sauna. There are practically no people there, so we went there with the children almost every day.
In general, I liked everything, but not everything is perfect, there is something for the hotel to work on))
