Firstly, it is a really dodgy area so avoid the area altogether if possible. Felt like me and my wife were going to get robbed with the hotel being on a street full of drug users.

Secondly, when we arrived and checked in, we had to carry our cases to the top floor with no lift to find a dirty, dingy disgusting room that looked nothing like the pictures.

Then my wife went to have a shower after the long travels, the shower door was not on the hinges so came off and hit her in the face. When we told reception, without even coming to look at any evidence, she got aggressive and blamed my wife, no shock or remorse. Refused to move us to another room, didn't want to look at what happened - a rude and bitter lady.

We decided we had too much self respect to stay somewhere so disgusting, that blamed my wife for their faulty door so didn't even stay the night ( we were on the premises for less than an hour ). Booked somewhere else nearby last minute ( 5* review for staycity - highly recommend )

Then finally when we left, they refused to give us a refund AND kept the deposit saying it's our fault the door fell off even though there was no evidence of damage! ( See pictures, the hinges weren't even attached) An absolute scam, since the door was set up to fall off - a previous review said the same happened to them in the same room (room number 17) but still they denied it and kept out deposit. Lucky wife did not lose her eye.

STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE, SELF RESPECT OR WANT A SAFE SPACE!!

I can tell you everything about this hotel is bad 😞 from the staff to the management they are all corrupt, i can tell you because i live beside. Every time clients with staff always argued from one problem to another, some times they are looking for there belongings. On Sunday 18/2/2024 i caught a girl with a lady who lived at the down floor of my building trying to break open my letter box to stole my wife phone 📱 because she left it on the letter box, i tried to stop them but the fat girl was very rude i ask her if
she's live here she said know but she work at the Azur hotel. That she was ask by a lady to break open my letter box and stole the phone, I want to the management instead they said i was treating their staff, shame on them .

‼️BED BUG ALERT‼️ room 19

Was very worried about the bed bug situation before my trip to France and somehow this hotel gave me the worst nightmare. I was laying in the bed and at some point my face felt itchy, so I got up and saw the bed bug walking around by the head board. My first time ever got bitten by a bed bug thanks to this hotel.

The receptionist moved us to another hotel so we had to pack and move at 0am and move again the next morning. For the time and effort wasted they only compensate us with one breakfast. They provided us the “superior room” for the following days. The room was not superior at all. The hairdryer did not work, talked to the reception and said he will get back to us the next day, however the next day they still can not and was not bothered to get us a hair dryer. The service and the attitude was very poor.

One of the mornings we got waken up by cleaning lady brushing the floor against our door out loud at 7am. We could hear the receptionist shouting all night from our room due to the thin doors and walls. Sound proof was non existence.

Will definitely not come back and could’ve gotten something nicer with this price. Very bad experience.

Lovely, vintage vibe hotel. Natasha & Valentine were extremely helpful & gave lots of info. Spotlessly clean beds. Building is 200 years old so full of character. If you expect glossy, modern, plastic, homogenised decor do not visit!

The staff was actually really friendly, but I would not go again because of its neighborhood and surrounding. Also, no elevator, definitely not recommend this place.
