Great hotel for the price. Was a bit surprised by the cabin toilet which is very small but it had nice features as in a washing line and a Japanese bidet toilet. The AC was great, the beds were okay, the view was okay. It worked great to wash some clothes (cost 4€ incl. detergent and drying), and there is also the option to leave your bags in a locked room after checking out. Overall great service...

This was perhaps one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. The staff were great and very helpful and the breakfast was a good presentation of foods. I think the price to value ratio is crazy here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marseille

I stayed here in September 2024. This hotel is extremely convenient to the train station and metro subway - just across the street. Emilie at the desk checked me in and was lovely and very friendly. The room had a nice view of Marseille, the sea, and Basilica. I was given a top floor room by the elevator. The room was clean, furnishings were decent, but I felt like the carpet was due for a change....

Great hotel. We arrived at 3 pm and the front desk manager was very friendly. Recognised my platinum status and offered late check-out which we took. The parking is easy and not too expensive. The room was great and comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good 👍. For an inclusive breakfast it was the best in a while. The hotel is completely renovated and nothing like what the old reviews say (I visited in July 2021). The rooms are clean and there are sensitive smoke detectors ensuring people cannot smoke in their rooms - no more smell of cigarettes anywhere. The staff are awesome and the location could not be better, really a great bargain for the price.

It is a mid-range hotel offering rooms at good prices. The room wasn’t big, but had a comfortable king size bed. Bathroom was big, but the kitchenette was tucked away in a cupboard. Daily housekeeping left the room spotless every day, fresh towels provided daily. My biggest complaint is that every light in the room is equipped with bright white LEDs which puts a lot of strain on the eyes in the evening...

I stayed there spontaneously, good rooms , nice place but the bathroom need some renovation or better cleaning may be good parking for a fair price of 8 euro per night nice garden and a shopping center right at the other side of the street

There are few options in this area and I guess this probably the best one. Location wise is good if you have a car.

Conveniently located vis-a-vis Gare Charles Michel, the Alex has tiny but modern and comfortable rooms with balcony. Beds could have better mattresses, though. Staff is polite and professional. The surroundings are not ideal for dining, this is a Maghreb neighborhood where you will find few women on the street at night. However, a Metro station is right in front of the hotel.

The Alex Hotel was a great stop for a quick overnight stay in Marseille. It is so convienent to the train station (literally across the street). The staff were very warm and accommodating to us after a long day of travel. American travelers may find the rooms a bit tight but it was comfortable, clean, and cozy.

We loved our stay at this clean and convenient boutique hotel. Staff was helpful and the continental breakfast was just what we needed before we left for our flight. We liked the modern design and location near the train station.

Cleanliness is very questionable. There is no glass or curtain in the shower cabin, so there is a flood when showering. The breakfast is very meager and the food is not replenished.

I visited this hotel in July 2023. The location was perfect with the metro station and tram next to it. It also has many places to eat around! (My favorite one was Wok Udon) I was scared of staying here because of some scary reviews, but nothing bad at all! It was wonderful. Vertigo hostel is not like any any posh hostel like generators or St. Christopher Inn. But that doesn't mean it's not good. Good for a hostel. Right across the street from the train station. The area isn't the best, but once you get away from the train station it isn't too bad. The bathrooms were clean and showers had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is 5 euros. Drinks are for sale at the bar. Smoke sometimes drifts into the bedrooms and common area which can be annoying. No major complaints.

Nice apartment styled accommodation. Rt no 82 starts from here & goes to City centre. Just beside the Gare Du Saint Charles. Staffs are very helpful & well behaved. Breakfast is awesome but you need to book it one day before at least. Rooms are very spacious. You will be more than statisfied.

Amazing restaurant with magnificent sunset views. The bouillabaisse is very traditional and tasted splendid. The fish was really fresh and the croutons with aioli so good! Service was good and they came to top up my dish with hot soup three times. A fantastic experience.

The restaurant is nice, service was partially very good and partially not according to the price level. We had starters and second course (bouillabaisse) which was far too much and also for the kids. A small advice from the waiters could have been helpful. Food itself was good.
