We were supposed to have two interconnecting rooms with a double bed and a single bed. They gave us instead a small room with only a double bed. After realising the mistake they now added a camp bed. As a consequence we can barely move around in the room. This is not at all what I booked and paid for and I asked immediately for a refund. They told me I’ll have to talk to the manager tomorrow.

PS the experience got worst. Refused to reimburse me the difference for the price of the room they gave me versus what I booked. And claimed that the breakfast they offered as an apology should cover the difference. Baseline: I’m blocking my credit card payment to them since there is a very simple word for this behaviour.

Note for families: on the last night we got the family room we paid for, only to discover that there is no heating in the room meant for the child.

Overall, my experience has been just horrible - I would have never chosen to stay in these conditions travelling with a small child!

Never again! Stay clear of it!

PPS: after investigating the matter my credit card company reimbursed me and is recouping the cost from the hotel.

The room is large but the space between the bed and the wall is about a foot or less. If you have a medium suitcase or larger it won’t pass through. They put metal on the wall which will tear up your suitcase. They tell you to roll it across the bed after rolling it through the streets of Paris.

Upon complaining, they say the manager is out for the day and to call tomorrow. You leave because you don’t even have space to open your luggage. 3 days later and no manager. Avi on the other hand says the metal is “decoration for you because you are a big man”. He confirmed that there is metal on the wall as decoration because I am overweight (was sarcasm).

Booking tries to negotiate a refund as I never stayed the night and the property lied and said booking told them to only give them half (which is not true).

If you want to stay by Opera, have a tiny bag and don’t care to interact with the staff, go for it. If not, I wouldn’t waste the $250+ on this place.

I had a reservation at George Hotel and just got canceled because my credit card didn't work. They didn't give me a chance to provide another payment option, they just canceled without calling or messaging me first to let me know. I reckon it was because the prices on my dates have gone up and they just want to take another customer's advance. My trip to Paris was spoiled.
