Lyon Marriott Hotel Cité Internationale, Lyon1 / 50

Lyon, 70 Quai Charles de Gaulle 🧭 Map
The room is very big and there is a park nearby, very comfortable
Good hotel. Spacious and clean rooms with good shower and bathroom. Gym was ok, but bar seemed closed for much of trip and surrounding area lacked an equivalent once back from the city (which was only 15 mins by bus away so was not a big issue).
The cleanliness was not satisfactory — I found dirty shoe prints and someone else’s hair in the bathtub. I reported the issue to the front desk and requested a room change, but they told me there were no available rooms that night and asked me to handle it myself. The location is average, not very close to the city center. The positive side is that the hotel is very quiet, the bed is comfortable...
Service:very slow for a lot of things. Attitude is good but you need to wait very very long time to solve an issue, to Check in, because I think it’s simply under staff? Room is ok and big and view is good, however, rather strong smelt of detergent or deodorant. Location : park next to hotel is great I had dinner, presentation was fabulous, but fish was not fresh to my standards. Worthwhile staying...
It is just next to the Lyon Congress Centre, but a distance from the old town. Not much eatery around the neighbourhood, but the public transport is just a stone throw away from the hotel. Easy to get around with the public transport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with hot water shower and they send help very soon after our call. The breakfast was good too, but not much...
Platinum Elite status and didn’t feel appreciated while staying at this location. The female front desk lady was nice and helpful when we first arrived. The room was not ready so she assisted us with our bags. We came back around 3pm and the gentleman who checked us in gave us a room that was not made. We went back to the lobby and got another room. Our room received 2 water on the first day,...

The check-in went smoothly until the receptionist told us that we had requested a non-AC room (with the AC to be disconnected during our stay), supposedly based on a note from Trip.com. I told the receptionist that I definitely did not make such a request—especially not in the middle of summer—and asked to see the note from Trip.com. They couldn’t show me the note and instead claimed that, since I...
Beautiful architecture. Great location.
Great hotel. Room good size and clean. Location is perfect. Short walk to everywhere!
The breakfast was very great. The location is ok and they have their own parking area. However there are stairs in my room so I had to carry my luggage up to my space.
Beautiful hotel wonderful breakfast.
I was very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we encountered a few not very friendly staff at the reception. They didn’t do anything in particular that we would consider rude - but they just had a cold attitude. Some of their staff seem to have treated other guests a little differently for instance walking them to the lift and giving them more information about the hotel. This...

The welcome is always warm and professional. The rooms are very nice — not ultra-luxurious, but definitely comfortable and pleasant. What truly sets this hotel apart is the amazing spa with diverse facilities, and the huge outdoor pool, which is a real luxury in the center of Lyon, especially in summer when there are few alternatives in the city. One point to note: the requirement for men to wear...
I know this hotel well, staying regularly every year in their studios, which are impeccable, but I'd like to draw attention to two significant flaws: 1/ Weak Wi-Fi: Their Wi-Fi has been poor for years, and nothing has been done to improve it. 2/ The restaurant is closed on Sundays: an absurdity in a 4-star hotel!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Birthday Stay! My wife, my cat, and I stayed at Hôtel Lyon Métropole for my birthday and loved it. The hotel decorated our room beautifully, and it looked even better than the photos online. Staff were very friendly and helped us park when the garage was full. The sauna and pool area was super clean and relaxing. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in Lyon!
My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for one night. The experience was very nice. Everything was clean and we felt welcome. We loved the spa area, especially the outdoor pool and saunas, only the hot tub was quite cold. I also appreciate that there is a women only section. What was very unfortunate though is that there were not really vegan options for breakfast. It was very hard to find something...
Price not alligned with services provided and not clearily indicated that the pool is available as an extra
We did enjoy our stay here. Mainly because it was a heatwave in Lyon and spending two nights here beats being in our hot apartment with no AC. Though they could do with some improvements. Positives: Rooms were cool but not cold and very spacious. My toddler loved the pool and they had a baby pool area. I always love a gym so that was a plus There was free babysitting service. Negatives: Not much...

It’s located within walking distance of Lyon Perrache station, which allows us quick access to the TGV.
Me and my family was there for the second time and we was again impressive from the service from there rooms and from the breakfast the Employees are very kind. From my side a highly recommend. Love greetings from Germany
Great view from the window . And there are games on the ground floor for people to play when it rains , I’ll still stay here next time I come to Lyon
The staff were amazing especially Valerie on reception, she was very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for trains, trams to go and explore the city. Breakfast was excellent and again staff very friendly. Would recommend
Welcoming front desk and quick to check in. The room we stayed in did let the rating down though and so I wouldn't say this was a four star hotel unfortunately. A separate toilet in what could only be described as a cupboard was barely big enough for a grown man. The coffee making facilities were very basic too.
An excellent experience during our stay - our room was spacious, bright and clean. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the tea and coffee provided in the room. The breakfast was excellent, very varied, and good quality. The hotel is in a convenient location, we were able to walk almost everywhere during our stay in Lyon.

Beautiful view of the Saone river. And the staff were uniformly helpful, informative and responsive. BUT no TV, no closet, no clear indication of where the entrance to the hotel is from the closest tram stop. Regulating the water temperature in the shower was a challenge because it kept changing. Finally, the location is not the most convenient.
I had an excellent stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I have two minor complaints: I couldn’t figure out how to turn on one of the lights, and the thermostat was set just a tiny bit too low. I would stay here again.
We loved the front desk guy, Tristen. He was so helpful and personable. We loved the restaurant there. We liked that it was convenient to get to the tram. The AC worked amazing, however, you can never take your key out of the wall/ light socket because it will trip the fuse, and you will have to call down every time to get your AC turned back on. So not very energy efficient. We thought the pictures...

This was one of the most lovely hotels I have stayed in. From the service at the front desk where you were greeted like family, to the lovely gentleman who helped us with our bags. Our room was so lovely. The history inside the hotel is so interesting. I will forever have fond memories of our stay in Lyon.
Stunning recent renovation of apartment block into hotel. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us with information and guidance. A real gem situated in the old town. We will be back!!!
An absolute gem of a hotel - stunning design and the most incredibly welcoming and attentive staff in an incredible location.
In one word—Exceptional! From the moment we arrived till our departure our experience was exceptional. This includes the restaurants. The staff we so helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty. We would stay here again without hesitation and we so look forward to it.
Excellent hotel with a beautiful and enchanting building, a perfect location, and outstanding services. Nothing more to add, just live the experience.
Hands down the best hotel we have stayed in. Everything was exceptional, from the gorgeous location to the Renaissance architecture to the large, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast. We were prepared for subpar air conditioning, but even that exceeded expectations. 卫生:Very clean and perfect. 环境:It is close to the station. It is very convenient if you use the station. 服务:They were very kind. They gave me tourist information and a map. 设施:Unfortunately, there was a problem with the electricity on the day of the visit, and the lights kept going on and off, which was very inconvenient. The problem continued throughout the night.
Convenient location just next to the train station. Helpful staff Spacious room Air conditioning is good in summer But the complimentary tea bags expired on the day we checked in
Good sized room and lovely bathroom. The location near the station was really good so easy to get to the old town by metro. Only point off was the air-conditioning. Even at full blast set at lowest level it has limited affect.
It was a pleasant stay. Awesome for a family. Rooms are large. One bedroom can accomodate 2 adults & 2 kids. Toilet and shower are in separate rooms which made showering efficient.
We stayed for 6 nights. The location is excellent being essentially at the centre of Lyon transport- the Rhinexpress tram from the airport stops about 50m from the hotel, and the Part Dieu SNCF station is next door. Trams are outside and on the other side of the SNCF station, and the metro is there as well. There is a huge Westfield shopping centre beside the SNCF. The rooms were excellent, except...

Stayed here on a business trip and it is in the perfect location with access to metro, bus and tram right outside the hotel. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. The staffs were helpful and polite.
Good hotel situated in the well connected Charpenne area of Lyon. The room was well put together with nice decor, it was clean and maintained with care. Water bottles were included in the room and topped up daily. This was a front facing room with a good view of the Charpenne crossroads. The breakfast option at the hotel offers plenty of variety at good quality.
Awesome hotel. The MRT is just outside. The waiters are very friendly. There is a small refrigerator in the room and it is very cold. This is the only time I stayed in the room that there is a refrigerator, and it is really a refrigerator. Many hotels do not have it, even if they have it. It's often not cold enough, which is very insincere, so it's better not to put it in. In addition, there is free...
Our favorite hotel from our week in France! The team were hospitable and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and well appointed Highly recommended!
Very quiet and well located hotel. The staff is very friendly. Direct metro line to city center (10 mins) and to train station. Walking distance to the Parc de la tête d'or. There is also the public bike rental next to the hotel.
A nice hotel with clean and cozy rooms, well situated, with good food and a very friendly and professional staff. You felt safe, the room and the bed were perfect! Not very many negative points, but for 4 stars, a little more attention to detail is needed. For example, in my room, the furniture was damaged, of course, that didn't bother me at all, but for a 4 star hotel, I expected a little more. Also...

The location of the hotel is super good, right on the pedestrian street. What's especially considerate is that the two rooms are arranged together with a door in the middle, which is very good! But the price is parking! Let's not talk about parking in big European cities, that's not the hotel's problem.
The French room is as small as usual. There are mosquitoes in the room. Everything else is good. The breakfast is quite rich. The location is good. You can reach any attraction in half an hour on foot.
Very well located. Very friendly service. Good breakfast. Small step at the entrance that may make it difficult to enter if you are in a wheelchair.
The hotel is very clean and beautiful, with a small refrigerator, and the location is also very good, right next to the shopping street, recommended

Lovely old style hotel, must’ve been very grand in its day. Only stopped in for the 1 night and couldn’t fault it.
Located in the best part of Lyon. Atmospheric, all rooms are different and nicely decorated.
Very nice hotel, ideally located, right in the center of Lyon, valet parking, very good and private spa, excellent breakfast... very good
For the price, this hotel is fantastic. Everyone who works there is really helpful, and everyone speaks English, which is a huge plus for me. My only issue was the air conditioning, or serious lack of it. The week we were in Lyon it was routinely 80-90 degrees F out and the air conditioning in the room didn’t seem to even make a dent in the heat. If there had been AC I would give this place 5 stars...

The old hotel suprised me a lot in a good way. Rooms are comfortable and definitely worthy of its price! I stayed in a one person room where everything was comfortable and clean.
The road to the hotel was quite demanding, with steep, narrow slopes and a street full of parked cars. After finally arriving at the hotel, the free parking was full, and street parking outside cost nearly 60 euros per night. It's an old building, and the rooms are quite ordinary, unlike the pictures in the hotel brochure. The amenities were basic: no air conditioning, just an old-fashioned table...
It was difficult to check in with luggage, but it was safe during my stay and I could walk around. The location was good.
The hotel is next to the subway, just up a hill from the subway entrance. It's a bit inconvenient to climb uphill with a big suitcase, but you can see a good view in front of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the White Apple Plaza, and you can see interesting graffiti on the way there. The single room I booked also has a small kitchen with cooking tools, but I didn't use it. There are several types...
The front desk is very polite, and the engineer on duty is also very good. Unfortunately, the elevator is broken. It is very convenient to walk to the art gallery and the city hall. Although the room facilities are simple, there is a refrigerator, dishwasher and hot water kettle. There are parking spaces in the yard, and you can park for free. A convenient place to stop when visiting the first district...
The rooms are huge at this hotel. The "basic" room is a studio with a loft. You can do a somersault in the bathroom. You can cartwheel in the studio. Space is definitely not an issue. However, when traveling with children, a few things need to be keenly aware. If you take public transportation (bus and metro), you will need to walk up a pretty steep hill. It said there was a 24-hour front desk, but I messaged them when I made the reservation to be sure I would arrive early in the morning, but it was pitch black and locked, so I called and they opened the door. Very convenient to the Perrache train station which is what we wanted. Didn’t feel like the safest area, especially the bus station that you need to walk through to get to the train station. Hotel was inexpensive, clean and the staff were great. Breakfast was good value for money.
The hotel is next to the Perrache train station, convenient when you leave by train. The metro station is right there. To the sights - along the pedestrian street and you are there. The room is large by French standards, it was very humid, but now it is raining all over the country. Only two sockets. No overhead light - two sconces and a table lamp. Didn't hear the neighbors. Nice and comfortable - lovely and friendly service from the receptionists. The sheets were not extremely soft but the towels were lovely: the yardstick to judge a hotel by, in my opinion. Really good central location too, surrounded by the old town and lots of pubs, bars, restaurants.
It was great stay, location clean but no refrigerator in the room. Even though the area is busy, the room was quiet. Simple room and good service as well.
Our room had a shower over the bath which you couldn’t get under rendering it useless as a shower. Also there was no ‘rubber’ strip under the shower screen so the floor got soaked. The garage was unavailable so had to park in road. It was ok and saved €50!
Good hotel in a great location with strong hipster vibes. The rooms are bright and functional and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Would stay here again!
The check in very easy and the hotel has great bag hood service. The rooms are fine in an old school house sorta style (if that’s your thing?). They also have free water sparkling and still which is nice
Rooms are a little too small, but the location and service are great. I especially liked the water dispenser offering chilled, filtered water and sparkling water. Arriving by bike, I appreciated the secure cycle storage.
