Disappointing Stay Despite the Good Reviews – Would Not Recommend

I recently stayed at the Amira in August based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. While the hotel itself is aesthetically pleasing, I encountered several issues that made my stay uncomfortable and frustrating.

To start, the staff's attitude was quite cold and dismissive, which immediately set a negative tone. While others seem to have had wonderful interactions, I felt that certain members of the staff were not as welcoming or accommodating as they should have been. On multiple occasions, I sensed an undertone of unfriendliness, if not outright rudeness. At times, I couldn’t help but feel that there was an underlying bias in the way I was treated compared to other guests. This is not something I take lightly, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I can’t be sure if this was intentional, but the difference in their demeanor was noticeable enough to affect my overall experience.

Additionally, requests such as towels for the pool or orange juice at breakfast (which other guests were provided) were ignored. When I brought this up, the responses were curt and unhelpful, which only added to my discomfort. The inconsistency in service is baffling, especially when other reviews speak so highly of the staff and management. It makes me wonder whether certain guests are treated better than others.

While the hotel has potential, I cannot recommend it based on my stay. The hospitality industry should be about making every guest feel welcomed and valued, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for me here. I’m glad others had a good time, but if you're someone who values respectful and equal treatment, you might want to think twice before booking.
