Where to stay in Argostoli

The staff were so friendly with nothing too much trouble. The restaurant also offers a good selection. Hotel is of simplistic design. My only comment would be that there is a need for some maintenance to lift the standard.

Beautiful location. Unfortunately only stayed overnight as flight was delayed. Was welcomed to the hotel by receptionist Cassandra. Such a warm, friendly, helpful and wonderful young lady. Room was clean and comfortable, food was nice. Hotel location great, buzzing with holiday vibes/activity. Shame we didn't have the time to experience more.

I don’t understand some of the bad ratings here. The location is perfect and the service of the hotel and restaurant is so lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. Yes the rooms are not very large and the balconies are small but in general I need the room for the night so I’m fine with the room size. Regarding the parking possibilities we always found a free lot in one of the roads nearby the hotel....

We had two lovely nights at the Grand, we had a side room and on the top floor, very clean, great shower and very comfortable bed (10/10 for the pillows). Breakfast was excellent and drinks in the evening were perfect. Excellent stay 😃

We just returned from a week stay at Kefalonia Grand and we loved our experience. The location is perfect, close to the centre whilst also being on the waterfront, rooms are cleaned daily and also have a good sized balcony however, the main asset to the hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming from the reception to the restaurant staff. Thank you for a great stay.

A very nice boutique hotel! The room was lovely and clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat as you are right on the bay and in the heart of the town. Breakfast was a large buffet with a choice of ordering off a small menu and the restaurant at the hotel was very tasty for dinner as well. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great location at the pedestrian area of Argostoli,near to the shopping centre of the city.All the nice restaurants and cafe are really close to the hotel.Very comfortable rooms ,clean,with great taste of decoration.Nice beds and tasteful breakfast.The staff was very friendly ,kind and helpful. Great hotel, wonderful staf, perfect atmosphere. We stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and it was just great! One can really live and feel the Greek vibe!

Great location, good breakfast, amazing receptionist (Lilia) who went out of her way to help us arrange everything we needed including our pre-departure Covid tests at short notice. Bathroom in the corner room we stayed in was a little dated but by no means a dealbreaker. Would definitely return but probably book one of the loft rooms next time!

What I love most about this hotel is the gracious staff who know my name and how I like my coffee. They are very sweet to my pets and always greet me with a smile. The hotel is very well located in the main square and the rooms are spacious, modern and have great views of the sea and the city. Highly recommmend, English speaking.

Stayed at The Alley on a work trip. Rooms clean, large and modern. The two staff at reception and the cleaner/lady managing the breakfast were all attentive, helpful, caring and excellent all around. Fantastic location. Despite not being my usual aesthetic, I greatly enjoyed the ambience of the hotel and there is a calm garden with a plug socket which is perfect for getting work done. Great value too...

Very excellent and comfortable hotel! The staff are very friendly and make you feel good. The rooms are spacious and very well decorated. We had a power outage on the whole island for one day and the staff went out of their way to find a solution for food. They really took care of the owner. Thank you very much again.

What a great experience! I stayed here with my girlfriends and we enjoyed every minute. The hotel is nicely decorated. You feel the atmosphere of the island to the core. The rooms are clean, chic and comfortable. We had a balcony and a water view. Already looking forward to our next stay here. I almost forgot to mention that they have a spa. We were all given massages and beauty treatments. Super fun...

We had a great time staying at the Alley. The room was clean and characterful. The people who work there are very friendly and made our stay even more memorable. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, the atmosphere was like from a fairy tale. We are already planning to come again next summer.

Beautiful hotel, amazing location, great food and such warm and lovely staff! Costas and Petros were particularly amazing at offering lots of recommendations and were always so much fun to chat to. We always looked forward to seeing sweet Cristina every morning too. This is a 10 star hotel!! Everything was perfect. They attend to every detail. Petros and Costa at the front desk were absolutely amazing and so very helpful. Amazing hotel! The staff is extremely helpful, they even make restaurant reservations for you and hand you a list of the best places on the island. Rooms service is impeccable. They get you a first line reservation for Costa Costa beach which is the best beach. The breakfast is amazing as well. The hotel actually gives you a 5 star service, not 4 as they modestly claim. We will surely visit again....

I totally recommend it! First of all, they upgraded our revervation without extra cost. The room view was wonderful, very clean with all the necessary amenities. The staff was very polite and eager to help us and provide us with info about the island. The highlight of the experience was the exceptional breakfast with a wide variety of traditional greek products.

Great location, very clean , breakfast and outside seating is just perfect . I left my Sunglasses there and they reached out to me and mailed it to m I have stayed there twice..10 minutes to the Costa Beach and 20 min to the airport. Walk to the shops banks, restaurants.

Nice hotel in Central Argostoli. The staff were fantastic. Breakfast was simple and lovely and we were greeted every morning with Rosa's beautiful smile. Room was super and housekeeping staff did a great job. The room felt fresh and clean everyday. Thoroughly recommended.

The reception and breakfast areas of this hotel are extremely modern and well decorated. The rooms however are old and dated. I believe they are in the process of an update and once this is done the hotel will be perfect. Maid service is excellent with rooms cleaned an new towels provided everyday. A smaller hotel on a good location. Recently they refreshed it. The lobby/reception and dining room are beautifully. Personal in very kind. Rooms are smaller which is ok. Bathroom is to small for adults and old fashion. Toilet had broken kettle. Balcony is very narrow, you can only stand on it.

I stayed there with my girlfriend for two days. The location of the hotel is really convenient, in the center of Argostoli with various shops, restaurants and taverns nearby. The owners of the hotel are really friendly and always happy to assist and to provide tips. Rooms were nice and also really clean. Highly recommended!

It was a very nice apartment with amenities 4 children and we were very comfortably clean with everything necessary. It had a beautiful view from the balcony and Mrs. Maria was very helpful, friendly, smiling and if I needed to she ran immediately. I highly recommend it !!!!

The cleaner was very good every day we had the room tidy and clean. We had agreed that the room could see the sea and I could see the tiles. In the photos it seemed to have a large kitchen and we found this kitchenette. Generally the hotel was old. At least we found kind people there

One of the best places to stay at the town of Argostoli. Close enough to the central square of the town, with clean and comfortable rooms and beautiful view of the port. Pretty nice outdoor seating at an elegant garden for breakfast, the hospitality is great.

Really easy to book with good prices. Quiet enough and easy to walk into the town center. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy and check in is easy - our flight didn't get us in till nearly midnight but the front door is open and welcoming! Nothing too fancy but easy and reasonable! I'd definitely book here again.

What a lovely place to stay. The view over the water is amazing, and lovely to look at whilst eating breakfast on the balcony. ferries going by and the occasional turtle too. Rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. The hosts could not be more helpful and friendly. We had a lovely stay.

We love everything about staying at Mouikis Hotel in Argostoli. It is perfectly located in the heart of the city, but on a side street and very quiet. Rooms have a wonderful seaview balconies and ours had a table with two chairs and two loungers. The rooms are modern and have a luxury feel. Quality linens and pillows. The bed was very comfortable. We cannot think of a better place to stay on the island! We are so appreciative of Athina (our host) who went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable in our suite. The twelves suites are a newly completed building with serviced apartments. They're on the main esplanade in Argostoli but towards the quieter side with excellent parking facilities. Athina and the whole staff were wonderful. They made it such a pleasure to stay. Will be back again!

Excellent Accomodation, Very clean rooms and Suberb host. I visited with my wife, 2 year old and 7 month old during peak season. On arrival the host thoughtfully gave as a Greek wine' as a gift as well as bottles of water. The host answered any questions we had during our stay and always checked on us to see how we were doing. The location is really nice, you can easily access the whole island from here. The hosts are friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms are small, and especially the bathroom but everything is very clean and tidy, in fact all the rooms are cleaned everyday. I highly suggest this place

Fantastic location with a few footsteps to a beautiful calm beach with a very good snack bar. A really nice pool area, and very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Beds were, as is quite common, a bit too hard for our taste. Price to value gives a strong 4 in final rating.

Having the most wonderful holiday here with two little toddlers. Violetta and the family are great hosts, most accommodating. The room has the biggest bed we ve slept in !!!!!!! Room gets cleaned regularly, fresh towels put out. The sandy beach is walking distance but if you fancy staying in, the swimming pool is very clean and nice. Our stay at Residence IONIAN St & Apts was marvellous. Giannis and Violetta are really welcoming and kind. Nothing is too much trouble in this fabulously situated, properly family run hotel. It's near (but not too near) to a great selection of restaurants and tavernas. It's 100 m from the nearest smallish, safe sandy beach and just a short stroll further to several breath taking beaches with safe swimming...

This hotel was a big part of what made our holiday great. It's a beauty with lovely grounds, nice rooms, great food and amazingly friendly and hard working people to run it. It was a half hour walk into Argostoli, passing Fanari beach after ten minutes with its shallow sea and a good couple of eateries. A taxi back was €8. I like the ambience, and natural beauty of this hotel. Well situated around walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. Brilliant choice in visiting Kefalonia. We could not think of a better place to stay during our summer holidays in Kefalonia. We enjoyed the clean and finely equipped comfortable room, the hide away terrace among gardens, explored many different small beaches in the neighbourhood, appreciated the main street with shops and restaurants and also walked few times to the main marina city Argostoli with its nightlife. The apartment was fantastic with a lovely balcony from which you could see the sea and watch the sunset in the evening. The Tzivras family were very friendly especially Panagis who did every thing he could to make your stay amazing, nothing is too much trouble for him. Will try to return in the future.
