We made a last-minute change to spend six days in Chania and were fortunate to secure a one-night stay at Casa Delfino. Though brief, it was unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, Margarita Markantonaki and her wonderful staff made us feel like cherished guests. The accommodations were beautiful, the service seamless, and every detail from a warm welcome to delicious food exceeded expectations.

A highlight was touring the rooftop deck with Margarita, who shared her family’s rich history and the deep love she carries for this extraordinary property. Her passion for preserving Casa Delfino’s legacy is inspiring.

What truly stood out were the extra touches: arranging a private ride to Samaria Gorge even after our checkout, transferring our luggage directly to our next hotel room, and securing last-minute dinner reservations. These gestures turned a single night into a lasting memory.

We cannot wait to return and stay longer at this remarkable hotel. Highly recommended!

What a lovely, unique hotel! My husband and I came to Crete for my 30th birthday and spent several days at Casa Delfino. We had a wonderful experience—the hotel is storied and beautifully maintained, the staff were kind and attentive, and the location was exactly what we wanted—in the heart of Old Town Chania, but on a very quiet and quaint street. We stayed in Room 9, which we learned belonged to Captain Delfino several generations prior. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the room was beautifully decorated and in line with the history of the hotel. If we ever return to Chania, we will most certainly stay at Casa Delfino again!

Casa Delfino was such a pleasant stay for my family and I. It’s a quaint and Tuscan style boutique hotel that feels tailored to each individual guest. The free breakfast is made fresh every morning, and there’s lots of variety to choose from. The owner, Margarita, is a 6th generation descendant of the Delfino family, which makes the story of this hotel even more charming. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Beautiful rooms and location. The hotel is slightly uphill on a pedestrian-only walkway, but we were met with a golf cart who took our baggage and brought us to the hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the manager upon arrival. The provided a detailed map of the area and their restaurant recommendations. The daily breakfast is delicious! The hotel is situated in quieter streets of Chania, a perfect location for rest but also centered within many cute shops! The city is very walkable so we never needed transportation except for to/from the beach.

Our stay at Casa Delfino was the perfect finale to our two-week journey through Greece, and it truly exceeded all expectations.

We stayed in the Penthouse Suite, and it was absolutely stunning. The panoramic views from the private terrace were breathtaking, especially at sunset.

Casa Delfino was the perfect way to end our journey—peaceful, indulgent, and unforgettable. We can’t wait to return.

Absolutely wonderful establishment. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms and the location is perfect. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the harbor. Casa Delfino exceeded our expectations.

The Hotel staff was very attentive to our needs and wishes. They were always ready to answer any questions. Nikos (and others that I could not refer their names) were always very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They suggested several day trips we could take and each trip turned out better than our expectations. The breakfast they served was fabulous & varied in options.

Exceptional staff makes this an extraordinary experience. Knowledgeable, attentive and happy to assist with anything. Yes, the place is beautiful. But those lovely gracious people are what sets this hotel apart and makes it well worthy of its 5-star status. Don't hesitate to book.

One of the most special hotels we ever went to. It is the most beautiful hotel we have seen in Creta. The bedroom and bathroom
most charming. The breakfast was perfect, with healthy options for me and sweet varieties and all sorts of quiches that mu boyfriend loved. The staff are impeccable and a pleasure, perfect English. We booked a massage for couples and it was perfect. I do massages quite often and it rivals top spa level in Europe. Please go, you wont regret it.
