Where to stay in Chania Town

Great location and room. We were made very welcome and really enjoyed our stay. They also really tried to accomodate my gluten/lactose free diet for breakfast.

Very nice hotel. Ideally place in the old city. In September it was easy to park near the entrance in Talos. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast excellent. The breakfast lady and the two receptionists were adorable. Very good address.

Good location, fine breakfast, friendly staff. Three minutes walk to Venetian Harbor. Parking space can be hard to find, but this is more of a Chania downtown problem.

We stayed in History! The original stonework was kept when rebuilt. Stayed in the mosaic suite, absolutely stunning, big shower, very comfortable bed ( queen +) Double glazed windows so you don't hear the night life. Restaurant underneath for breakfast which was full breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, salmon, everything you could need. Staff friendly & caring, full of helpful local places....

Ideal location, very good place, but not worth the extremely high price. Very good service, rooms are spacious and nice, but a couple of things didn’t work well. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Would be 4-5 stars if not quite so expensive.

Staff is great and very helpful. I gave the hotel a 4 for a couple of reasons. There are no additional amenities- no food, bar, pool, or rooftop terrace. Be careful which room you book. Some rooms are a nice size with a Seaview. Others are small or dark. When you turn on the bathroom light at night the entire room lights up. Also, you have to walk with suitcases to the city gate across cobble stones

Located in the old town harbour, you can not be closer to the harbour, without your own ship. Located directly overlooking the water. The suites with terrace has sunbeds, the suites further down has balconies with room for two chairs overlooking the harbour action. Great doors n windows shut out the noice from the restaurants below when you want down time. 5-6 meters to the ceiling creates an awesome...

Into the Old Harbour area, by the sea side, an ideal place to spend one's holidays. Easy access to restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, clean and are showered by the sun-light. Top class!!!

We had the most wonderful stay here! Moshe, the owner, and the staff were warm and helpful and made us feel at home. Our room, called Fabric, was a real treat . With a large window seat looking out to the beautiful harbor and famous Venetian lighthouse. It’s historical luxurious building is so well located one is practically at the heart of the city. We cannot say enough about this hotel. Location unbelievable, Hospitality incredible, Breakfasts to die for and attention to detail is mind boggling. Clearly these folk understand what customer satisfaction is all about and I cannot wait to return to this hotel in the future. My favourite hotel was located in Venice but I think that has now changed to the Domus Renier in the Old Harbour in Chania....

Domus Renier made Chania a special experience for us. The breakfast was incredible, the service friendly (thank you George), and the location unbeatable. The hotel staff also assisted us in booking private excursions. We will be coming back to Domus Renier next time we’re in Chania.

What an amazing hotel and experience. The decor, architecture, and attention to detail was wonderful. Staff were friendly and attentive, and more than happy to explain the history of the building and its renovation. Close to great bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend the Domus Renier in Chania, Crete. We hopped locations at the last minute due to the weather, and we are so glad we did. The location was perfect, we were walking distance from everything we needed. It was very clean and hotel is beautiful. The views from the room were incredible. This hotel is absolutely amazing! The staff are excellent, the location is on the water and among all of the shops and restaurants. The building is part of a historic palace and has been remodeled. The breakfast that is included with the room is also top notch. This hotel has five stars because six is not an option. I do plan to stay here again.

This hotel deserves a 5* rating. From the friendly service, welcoming staff, room cleanliness and amenities. Located only 5 minutes away from where the crowd is at night, next to the port. Great hotel, very, very clean, very polite people in the reception, in the parking and in the Cafe and restaurant. The staff is very great! Friendly and helpful. The location is right there next to everything. The parking is a little odd and small, but they do move the Cars around to accommodate. The beds are not the best. Maybe I'm to picky or to heavy. That's my only real complaint. The daily water they give you is larger than the standard.

The overall experience was fantastic. The only problem was that we found a cockroach one night and the guy on the reception told us he doesn't do well with cockroaches and just gave us a tezza (bug repellent/spray). Other than that, it was a most wonderful experience.

We had booked the hotel for 2 nights.Unfortunately though we needed to stay only for 1 night.We called then and emailed them in time and they said on the phone that they would help to find a solution on the missed night.All they did is to to charge us as normal for 2 nights although we stayed for 1 and they didn’t even bother to manage our frustration.I’m not coming back to this hotel.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It should have 5*. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling, they are so careful to your needs. Great location for a hotel in Chania if you want to be walking distance from all the busy small streets but still be quiet area. The staff was very nice with their recommendation. They recommended the best meal we had in all of our island trip. They even provided us with beach towels when asked before visiting far beaches. Rooms had very large balcony that you can chill at.

Lovely little B&B in the old town of Chania with waterfront balcony rooms and a very friendly staff! Really quiet and nicely redone rooms offer a great way to view the city center, or just stay all day on the balcony and watch people go by…Room 105 was ideal, and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast which they brought out to the private balcony.

After 2 visits - Really nice place, at a great location with the most friendly and helpful staff. The sea front rooms are just perfect.

The hotel is beautiful and suits its location on Chania's old city. The stuff are kind and polite, specifically Dora. I would definitely go back the next time I'll visit Chania.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast that is included to the price is great and can keep you all day full. Everyday they change your towels and clean the room like you are new customer. The only disadvantage I can think is that is a little overpriced for what the room is, but I guess they charge the extra services that you get. I recommend to stay there for 3-4 days.

I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at the Hyperion Hotel and had an excellent time. The staff were very professional and personable. Stella made sure our stay was great by arranging us a room with pool view (221), which was very quiet given the central location of the hotel. The breakfast was very complete. About 7' walking distance to the beach, the old town and the central bus station. Great option to explore the best of Chania! We managed to rent bicycles at the bike shop nearby.

We had a great time staying at this hotel during our honeymoon. Antonis was so helpful in arranging daily transfers around Chania. The location is excellent as so many shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The rooms are beautiful and ours offered a balcony overlooking the port. The breakfast was also delicious!

The rooms were very nice!! Everything was recently refurbished and beautifully done. Service was great the view fantastic and the breakfast too. I definitely recommend it. Great place to stay by the port. Walking distance to most everything. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. They even give you a pillow menu, outlining your choice of pillow selections for your comfort. Bottle of Greek liquor and peanuts are complementary in your room, too. I have stayed on two occasions. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful, clean and romantic hotel overlooking the old port of Chania. We stayed in room no 1 on the first floor which has a double iron bed and a large TV. From the bed you can see the lighthouse.

This is a pretty nice hotel but it is not 4-star. From what I understand it used to be 3-star in which case I’d give it a better rating but at this time it is overpriced. (Especially with a 7€/day tax since it’s officially 4-star).

A very nice hotel next to a park. It was close enough to walk to the old town but without all the noise of the busy area. Plus there is parking and a lovely breakfast.

Lovely rooms and delicious breakfast with tasty little Greek pastries and mountain tea! Close to the beautiful old town and we had a great view from our balcony. Clean and airy. Only thing I would say could be improved is having a toilet on the same floor as the dining/breakfast area 🙈 also the underground parking feels very tight to get in and out of if you’re not used to it!!
