Where to stay in Chania Town

I stayed in kriti Hotel for 2 nights. The room was very good. The only problem was the noise from the air system especially during the night. All the hotel staff are very polite, they're always smiling and ready to answer all your questions. The location of the hotel and the parking spaces around it are worth it. By far one of the best hotels in Chania.

Enjoyed my stay here! Clean rooms, enough space for what you need. Great location, 10 mins from the centre, but also a quiet location away from noise. Pleasant staff. Decent breakfast options. Would recommend.

We stayed in History! The original stonework was kept when rebuilt. Stayed in the mosaic suite, absolutely stunning, big shower, very comfortable bed ( queen +) Double glazed windows so you don't hear the night life. Ideal location, very good place, but not worth the extremely high price. Very good service, rooms are spacious and nice, but a couple of things didn’t work well. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Would be 4-5 stars if not quite so expensive.

Staff is great and very helpful. I gave the hotel a 4 for a couple of reasons. There are no additional amenities- no food, bar, pool, or rooftop terrace. Be careful which room you book. Some rooms are a nice size with a Seaview. Others are small or dark. When you turn on the bathroom light at night the entire room lights up. Also, you have to walk with suitcases to the city gate across cobble stones

Located in the old town harbour, you can not be closer to the harbour, without your own ship. Located directly overlooking the water. The suites with terrace has sunbeds, the suites further down has balconies with room for two chairs overlooking the harbour action. Into the Old Harbour area, by the sea side, an ideal place to spend one's holidays. Easy access to restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, clean and are showered by the sun-light. Top class!!!

We had the most wonderful stay here! Moshe, the owner, and the staff were warm and helpful and made us feel at home. Our room, called Fabric, was a real treat . Amazing hotel outside of the hustle and bustle of Chania's main city centre but still within walking distance to all of the attractions. I was a bit hesitant to book here with some noise-related issues in some reviews but there were no noise issues at all! All rooms face the public garden which closes at 11 pm each night. Everything was great !!! The location is perfect, there is a parking at the hotel. The breakfast was really wonderfull. I recommend Avra City Hotel and if I come back to Chania, and i will for sure, I will stay in Avra again .

This is a pretty nice hotel but it is not 4-star. From what I understand it used to be 3-star in which case I’d give it a better rating but at this time it is overpriced. (Especially with a 7€/day tax since it’s officially 4-star).

A very nice hotel next to a park. It was close enough to walk to the old town but without all the noise of the busy area. Plus there is parking and a lovely breakfast.

Lovely rooms and delicious breakfast with tasty little Greek pastries and mountain tea! Close to the beautiful old town and we had a great view from our balcony. Clean and airy. Only thing I would say could be improved is having a toilet on the same floor as the dining/breakfast area 🙈 also the underground parking feels very tight to get in and out of if you’re not used to it!!

Very nice hotel! Clean and modern with comfortable beds. Wi-Fi was a bit slow and kept dropping but everything else was excellent. The breakfast is included and there is a small bar/diner on the bottom floor. Staff is very professional and friendly.

Our stay was pleasant. The hotel is located near the vibrant street of Chania. They also assisted us in booking trips to Samaria Gorge, Balos & Elafonisi beach (all are highly recommended). Really nice hotel close to the old town. The swimming is a bit crowded during summer peak season but everything else from the room look and feel to the breakfast and the staff is great. They have a very convenient valet service for your car which I recommend you take for 8€ a day because it’s really complicated to find free parking in Chania.

Stella made sure our stay was great by arranging us a room with pool view (221), which was very quiet given the central location of the hotel. The breakfast was very complete. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, with the most wonderful view from our room. The breakfast that we ate by the pool each morning was unbelievable. The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast that is included to the price is great and can keep you all day full. Everyday they change your towels and clean the room like you are new customer. The only disadvantage I can think is that is a little overpriced for what the room is, but I guess they charge the extra services that you get. I recommend to stay there for 3-4 days.

Lovely little B&B in the old town of Chania with waterfront balcony rooms and a very friendly staff! Really quiet and nicely redone rooms offer a great way to view the city center, or just stay all day on the balcony and watch people go by…Room 105 was ideal, and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast which they brought out to the private balcony.

We had booked the hotel for 2 nights.Unfortunately though we needed to stay only for 1 night.We called then and emailed them in time and they said on the phone that they would help to find a solution on the missed night.All they did is to to charge us as normal for 2 nights although we stayed for 1 and they didn’t even bother to manage our frustration.I’m not coming back to this hotel.
