Wish I hot rate higher. The staff is top drawer in every fashion from check-in to any request. Room is very richly crafted and quite roomy. Comfortable bed and clean bath area. Very nice breakfast. Magnificent views. Easy access to your harbor, restaurants, and old town. Simply put a great stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Domus Renier. The rooms and views of the Venetian Harbor are incredible, the breakfast delicious, and the staff is so kind and always providing great recommendations for what to do and where to eat. Our stay began with the receptionist Ramona personally coming to get us out of a bit of a driving snafu and parking our car, and then we received an amazing room upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite! We have never stayed at such an amazing hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Chania.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of Chania. Myself, my brother & his wife spent 4 lovely nights at this beautiful hotel in early April which exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is actually a former palace, evident from the architecture & superb design. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. A la Carter menu along with a dessert of the day. The hotel is centrally located and right on the waterfront. Staff were wonderful and greeted us every time we returned from sightseeing. Sandy and Ramona at reception were so lovely and Sandy took the time to provide a detailed account of different shops along with a map with clear directions. Maria served us breakfast every morning with a smile & was always lovely and friendly. We found that everyone spoke fluent English. Highly recommend.

I only booked the day before after an ATC strike kept me in Crete for an extra night- I'm so glad it did though! The Domus Renier is an absolute gem. Centrally located on the Venetian Harbour, it's in the heart of the Old Town and surrounded by excellent shops, restaurants and bars. The service from the receptionists was second to none from arrival to departure. I'd booked a junior suite which was beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and plenty of amenities including plush robes & slippers, a nespresso machine, a minibar and ample toiletries. And a hot tub on the balcony- shame about the weather this week though! They even delivered a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the evening. I didn't have breakfast in the morning, but when I went to check out they'd prepared me a little takeaway breakfast which was really sweet. And they offered to let me keep the room until my airport transfer arrived. I really can't fault this fantastic hotel at all and hope to be back soon.

Quaint old house with carefully crafted modern facilities. Travel through history and return to ****. Watch the sunset and sunrise, and experience the vicissitudes of life. Public parking is free and is 200 metres away on foot.

An absolute gem in the heart of Chania! This boutique hotel, housed in a lovingly restored Venetian house, offers a perfect blend of history and luxury. The owner’s passion and attention to detail shine through every corner of the property, creating an atmosphere that feels both authentic and sophisticated. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, with breathtaking views of the old harbor. The staff are truly exceptional—genuinely warm, always professional, and incredibly well-informed about the local area. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and has a seamless, memorable stay. Whether you're relaxing in your room, soaking in the views, or exploring Chania with the team’s expert tips, this hotel guarantees an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking charm, comfort, and a touch of history

This is a great boutique hotel with extremely helpful personnel and very comfortable rooms. I called last minute because we had an event and we wanted to stay overnight in the cityof Chania . They had a room available that was one of the smallest rooms and the price was reason so I booked it . It was overlooking the back alley with city views and soothing water fountain and music. . The bed was very comfortable and all amenities were luxurious. They have complimentary, water, tea and coffee and a bottle of wine for us . They have luxurious towels and slippers as well as robes. They offered welcome drinks and desserts at the reception. Even though it is winter currently, the temperature was high around 20 Celsius and the room got very hot. I called the receptionist even though I tried with the windows open but it was not working. The staff was very accommodating and turned the cool air on, for us even though it has been switched off for the season. Maybe select a room with ocean view for more cool air. The breakfast was exceptional. They offered an à la card menu with multiple healthy choices but included a variety of exceptional canapé, smoothie and fresh squeezed OJ . The chef is exceptional and I am going to try their main restaurant when it opens in the beginning of april. Loved our stay and we will be back and try the suite with harbor views and jacuzzi .

My wife and I spent five wonderful days at Domus Renier in Chania’s Old Town, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is perfectly located, and the view of the old port from our room was absolutely magnificent—something we will always remember.
The room itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that made our stay feel special.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and professionalism made a big difference.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and we would highly recommend Domus Renier to anyone visiting Chania. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We're so pleased we chose Domus Renier for our recent stay. It's a very special hotel in a beautifully-restored historic building. It enjoys an ideal location, right on the front of the Venetian harbour with lovely sea views, and backing on to the old town. Despite its central location it was quiet and peaceful at night, although admittedly we were there out of season. Our room was small but very comfortable. Breakfasts were a tour de force - a delicious range of options, all beautifully presented, with great care taken to accommodate individual requests and occasions! We also had a great first evening with cocktails and excellent dinner at Zepos, the main restaurant. Above all, the hotel staff were faultless: everyone was so friendly, cheerful, efficient and helpful. In particular, we wanted to thank Ramona and George who were exceptional and great fun. We would definitely stay at Domus Renier again.

From the moment we were met on the harbourfront by George we knew that this was going to be the right place. The hotel staff were fantastic, ready to help with any details, and they made us feel extremely welcome. We stayed in the top floor master suite. What an amazing place. The terrace looking over the harbour of Chania is truly spectacular. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, right on the water and easily accessible from the public parking area where cars must be left. Every detail in the room was truly high end and housekeeping was excellent. The included breakfast made lunch virtually unnecessary, quite amazing. Thanks to the staff for making this a very special stay.
