Kydon The Heart City Hotel

I recently stayed at Kydon Hotel, and while the accommodations and amenities were excellent, what truly set this hotel apart was the extraordinary service provided by Rena, the bartender.

Rena is not just a bartender; she is the heart of Kydon. From the moment I walked into the bar, she greeted me with warmth and made me feel like I was among friends, even though I was far from home. Her genuine interest in my well-being and family added a personal touch that is rare to find. She remembered little details from our conversations, which made each interaction feel meaningful and not just part of a job.

Her mixology skills are top-notch, crafting delicious cocktails with precision and flair. But beyond the drinks, it's her charisma, sense of humor, and kindness that make the bar at Kydon feel like a sanctuary after a long day. She effortlessly creates a welcoming atmosphere for every guest, ensuring everyone feels included and appreciated.

The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. The location is convenient, and the staff are attentive and professional. However, if I had to pick one reason to return, it would undoubtedly be Rena. She exemplifies hospitality at its finest, and her presence elevates Kydon Hotel to a whole new level.

The food and service are the best! Especially Rena, who works the bar. She makes the best drinks, always has a beautiful smile to greet everyone with, and willing to be helpful to those of us not from Crete.

This hotel deserves a 5* rating. From the friendly service, welcoming staff, room cleanliness and amenities. Located only 5 minutes away from where the crowd is at night, next to the port. Breakfast was great and the rooms are so comfortable.
Definitely recommended and will definitely book again for my next stay in crete!!

Great location - 4min walk from Old Port Chania and 2min from main shopping street. Away from the buzz of the Port but still close enough!

Very satisfied. Although it is not a new hotel, it is clean. The location is very good. There is a paid parking lot opposite, but we can park on the roadside. The room size is also OK, and the hotel staff are very patient and enthusiastic. The hotel sent cakes and dry white wine in the room, and there are other free drinks available in the restaurant. The breakfast is also very good. The room price is reasonable and cost-effective.

The hotel deserves its four-star rating. The lobby and the restaurant on the second floor are both beautiful and elegantly decorated. The room was also nice. 22 square meters is basically consistent. The beds and quilts are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good, with many varieties, and the service is excellent. Black tea comes with a tea bowl and boiling water per person, and a set of cups. Tea is served to everyone, and coffee is also served to the table. The dining table is made of two layers of tablecloth, bleached and ironed to a crisp. This kind of service should be reserved for five-star hotels, but Cocaton Hotel can also provide you with this service, which is amazing. Luggage storage after early arrival and check-out was also attentive. The front desk service is very attentive and enthusiastic, and patiently answers questions. The location is very good, facing the gate of an ancient building in Chania. (The building is being re-roofed and may become a tourist product center.) It is only 2 to 300 meters away from the old town, which is very convenient. Stayed for two days, value for money.
The only thing worthy of improvement is that the tissue paper is placed under the washbasin and cannot be found without looking carefully. It is recommended to simply place it on the table in the room. See Figure 11.
