Emelisse Nature Resort

I’ve emailed the hotel twice with my feedback but no-one has come back to me. Maybe they don't actually care?

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Emelise from 27th August - 1st September. Overall we had a fabulous time, although there were a couple of issues I wanted to highlight.

The good points:
Breakfast was lovely. Food was nice, staff were great and obviously the view from the terrace is sensational.
The pool area is amazing. Again, staff are helpful and a perfect spot for the day.
The restaurant is spot on. Food is delicious, good choice and staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

The bad points:
I stayed in room 217 which is a shocking room. Every morning I was woken up by someone or something outside my room. On the last morning I was woken up at 7am by a lorry reversing outside my room door and the loading and unloading of a delivery.
The room door regularly had laundry and other things just left outside it.
On the 2nd night I think there was a power cut which switched an emergency light on in our room in the middle of the night.
On top of this, the room is dark and the mattress is hard and uncomfortable.

The staff at reception area - my wife and I were both asked separately how we were on the last morning by your staff. When I explained why I wasn’t in the best mood, all I got back was an “oh, I’m so sorry.”
When my wife was asked how she was on the 3rd morning of our stay, she explained that she was woken by the light in the middle of the night. She was told by your staff it was a power cut. No apology, no explanation as to why a light comes on for a power cut.
When we checked out of the hotel, we were also asked how our stay was. We explained the issues we had with room 217 and all we got was a nod of the head.
Why ask how I am or how my stay was, if you don’t actually care what the answer is???

Like I said, overall we had a good trip but it was tarnished by the room we stayed in. 2 of our 4 nights sleep were interrupted.
