100 Rizes Seaside Resort- Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Honestly, I don't know where to start this review. Maybe with the positive, it'll be fast:
+ the architecture of the buildings is very nice
+ (most of) the staff means well
+ the bed is comfortable
+ the bathroom is very nice
+ room service is free of charge
And that's it.
For the rest, this hotel doesn't meet the 4-star nor Small Luxury Hotels label level in any way.
- The rooms look like they were just robbed from all their decoration, they give comfy hospital vibes at best.
- We had a private terrace, it was basically patch of dirt and turned into mud when it rained, needless to say we didn't spend a minute there.
- Every day, we had between 20 and 30 (!!!) centipedes (some of them really big) running around our room, on our ceiling and falling on our bed. This is pretty close to some of my nightmares, I'd say. We reported it to the management on day one and asked for a broom to try and remove them. Not only did we have to ask 3 times for the broom, but the staff never offered to help and the management even made fun of us. We could see the hole in the wall they were crawling from, mentioned it, they answered that they were aware of the problem and that's it. In season, this room goes up to 350€/night, how is that okay?!
- The (very average) breakfast needs to be ordered every day for the next morning via a paper form that you need to bring to the reception yourself every day before 9 pm. Again, how is this luxury or 4 stars? What do they do when people forget, not feed them breakfast?
- There is no "do not disturb" sign nor "double" lock for the bedroom door, this means that the cleaning team can basically enter whenever they want, which is super uncomfortable.
- The pool (the biggest asset of the hotel in my opinion) was closed the FIVE days I was there with no information sign whatsoever. Whenever I asked staff/management when it would open/why it was closed, I always just got huge question marks in their eyes and no actual answer.
- The beach is covered in seaweed and dirt, it's nature, I know, but a basic daily cleaning would be necessary.
- Not every client is equal, we felt it the whole time. Just a random example: I asked for a room service for one of the breakfasts and was told they didn't do room service for breakfast (again, 4 stars? Luxury?!). Then 5 minutes later, on my way to breakfast, I ran into 2 staff members with a whole room service breakfast on a tray, and knocking on a bedroom door.
- As mentioned, most of the staff means well but they're clearly not trained and are often busy talking with each other.
- Getting basic info or a rate card for the spa was literally impossible without having to go to the spa and have a whole discussion with the spa manager. Also, it's closed on Mondays so too bad for you if that's the day you're staying at 100 Rizes.
Cherry on the cake, the whole stay, a few people of the staff made us feel guilty for asking about stuff (like the pool) and for things that were going wrong.
I'm really sad to be writing this to be honest, as the place has an amazing potential and we were looking forward to staying there, it's such a waste.
