I've been here for 2 days, so I will start only with initial thoughts on a 5-star experience. Stunning Hotel but would have expected to have cases lifted up the stairs on arrival to reception. Also, when checking in, I would have expected to have been shown to the room. So let's see what the next week brings 😏

We stayed at this hotel recently and it was highly recommended by friends, apparently because it is an establishment in Spetses. Our expectations were therefore high. However, we were put in one of the back side rooms of the main building which in our opinion was a very small and not a special room. We all thought it was more like a 4 star hotel than the grand hotel we were expecting. All in all it is overrated and it is not special, not good value for money. Location wise it is close to the main pier and very noisy in the rooms since the back street is a motorbike road.

Worth every penny.
Traveling extensively around Greece and staying predominantly in 5 stars hotels, a disappointment is the usual feeling we have.
Poseidonio is the exception.
Starting from communication with Serena, she is brilliant !!!
Our stay, dining experience and the Paradise beach, which belongs to the hotel as well, were marvelous.
There were minor flaws, but overall experience is OUTSTANDING.
We stayed in Royal suite and first time in Greece I didn’t have a feeling of overpaying.
Absolutely worth it.
Gorgeous 3 bedroom suite on the top floor, stylish decor, large terrace and magnificent views from every window.
The interior of the hotel is understated luxury with modern art on all walls. Fantastic combo. Could live there!

Excellent understanding of customer needs, and most importantly, great food.
We ate in the restaurant few years ago and never intended to go back.
It completely changed under Ilyas management. Can’t recommend it enough.
It’s Greek inspired cuisine with use of mostly local ingredients elevated to the level of great European restaurant.
Combination of tastes, flavors and textures is creative but not crazy, delicious and beautifully presented.
Portions are not big which gives you an opportunity to try many without being staffed.
Huge thanks to the team and we will definitely see you again.

The staff here was absolutely amazing and made our stay so fun and memorable. They got us the best reservations, booked our boat and recommended the best beaches. The hotel location was amazing and central. By far the best property on the island of Spetses. Very luxurious and great food and drinks. The pools were beautiful. The concierge Zoe was the absolute best, she made everything so easy and found us the best boat to explore the island. Ilias was a sweetheart and helped us so much with our luggage and transport. The front desk team was always fast to respond to all our requests. Serena was the best host for the amazing breakfast every morning and always made us feel at home. Marilou was an amazing waitress at the restaurant and made sure we had the best meals. THANK YOU to everyone on the team for making our stay so memorable. Cannot wait to come back and stay here next year!!!

By far the prettiest hotel in Spetses. The building history and heritage and architecture are amazing and the location is perfect. However and it is a big however, the state of the rooms is unacceptable. The lack of maintenance is visible and concerning. We were two couples and in both rooms there was a problem with the air conditioning and the safe. The ac turns off alone and switches to heat mode on its own !!!! When we told the maintenance they said yes they have this problem since several months !!!!! What are they waiting for to fix it ??? Even more dangerous we had a short circuit in our room. When switching off a light the whole electricity in the room went out and the maintenance crew almost was electrocuted when he tried to put up the breaker. So he said to keep it on !!!! So the whole night we had 2 lamps always on just facing the bed and we had to sleep with the lights on !!!! This is really unacceptable. On the positive side the breakfast buffet and the service were very good. The service at the bar in the evening was also excellent.

Perfect place to stay when visiting spetses. The rooms are great with very comfy beds. The service was great and the staff were fantastic. It is a beautiful old building on the main port so it is easy to go anywhere. It’s located in the town so everything is just a quick walk or ride away. 100% recommend.

The old dame of Spetses. Beautiful building, well maintained, lovely breakfast with a view over the port, perfect location, very warm and courteous staff.
Our room was sadly very small, AC noisy and inefficient, and very expensive.

"Poseidonion" is not just a luxury hotel. It's an experience. The view, the fresh wind from the sea, the vibes.... everything is special. The staff always helpfull with a smile, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast more than special. As a bonus the palms bar offers a variety of special cocktails. Where ever in Greece you go if you have the time, and of course the chance, you must visit Spetses and this five star hotel which deserves all five of them and some more. Congrats!!!

Definitely not worth the money and not worth the five stars. Although we did have and enjoyable stay and the location is splendid, the venue is great and the rooms are ok, there is simply too much going wrong, a small selection: 1. room almost on top of the hotel’s outside cocktail bar with loud music till 12.30 pm and noise of visitors till 2 or so, 2. Puting a pot of hot tea on the breakfast table moving it over the head of my wife 3. Having to ask 3 times what happened with the coffee after ordering it at breakfast, before actually getting it, 4. No fresh juices at breakfast, 5. No new glasses or cups in the room after cleaning 6.After requesting and getting coffee cups in evening, dirty cups removed but not changed for clean ones (had to get them from reception as room service takes forever) 8. Serving wine from same bottle in two different smelly wine glasses in their expensive restaurant, 9. Serving a fish carpaccio that had more onions then fish (maybe my interpretation of catch of the day was simply wrong) 10. Serving the second course of our dinner without having taken away the plates of the first course, and so on. In itself no major issues or catastrophies (although the ‘tea incident’ could have ended as such) but all in all not what you would expect in a five star hotel. People are doing there best, no comments about that, but they are insufficiently trained, managed or both. In all fairness, after asking a couple of times, an acceptable solution (upgrade and stay in other room) was offered for the last night of our stay, after a number of unacceptable offers (incl getting a very small room for sleeping and yes…. earplugs). Also, the music was turned down earlier as of the second night of our stay. However, our room should have had proper sound isolation (five star!?) or they should have warned us for the noise when booking (months ago). We would have booked something else in that case. We have been in a considerable nr of places with the nr of stars this place has, likewise for restaurants: this place does not deserve the qualification! Will return to Spetses, but not to this “fawlty towers” lookalike.

Wow wow wow, what a great place for a holiday. On the water, great terrace Bar, Port and restaurants within easy walk. Horse drawn transport, Taxi’s and of course access to Boats and beach clubs. June weather was fantastic. Concierge is the best ive seen…sooo helpful and made the week stay perfect.
2:30 ferry from Athens is a pleasant cruise via Hydra. Hotel a 3 minute walk (without luggage as that was collected for us) from the port.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
