Nikki Beach Resort & Spa

My stay at the hotel was pleasant, up until checkout when I was told off by the hotel front desk supervisor at the reception for being a little late to checkout (I had booked a massage at the spa and finished at 1:30 PM). He basically treated us like dogs and kicked us out of the hotel with his rude behavior. Never have I seen this level of unprofessionalism at a five star hotel, the last thing I expected after a nice stay and spa treatment was being aggressively told to leave the hotel immediately and be spoken to in a very rude manner. Extremely disappointed by this very unwelcoming behavior. I had a tiring trip with my pregnant wife and arrived at the hotel late at night after a three hour drive for a wedding only to be told to leave like a dog at 1:30 PM. An unfortunate ending to an otherwise pleasant stay will not return.

Quite honestly one of the worst meals and venues I’ve been to. I’ve been to many Nikki Beaches and this one was terrible.

The hotel is clearly a crappy old budget hotel that’s been very poorly revamped. The vibe is antiseptic and the food was the worst food we ate in our entire trip in Greece.

Our group of 12 had 8 people send their food back and we left refusing to pay. The prawns were rock hard and dry, the chicken was over cooked and dry, the medium rare steak came out well done. The deep fried calamari was the worst calamari I’ve ever had. The ‘famous’ chicken satay js a bowl of bland vegetables with 3 tiny chunks of chicken hidden somewhere within.

The cocktails were terrible, how they struggle to make a basic espresso martini or Moscow mule is beyond me.

The wine list is rubbish, poor cheap limited choices.

We even got them to get the head chef out so we could explain how dreadful his food is and he just got grumpy, disagreed and argued. When I bashed the table with my bone dry, over cooked and rock hard steak he begrudgingly admitted that maybe that steak was ‘slightly over done’. He then tried to explain to me that his deep fried calamari is good and ‘how it should be made’ at which point I grabbed one of the greasy little morsels and opened it up in my hands to show him that there wasn’t even any calamari inside it, and it was just a ball of greasy batter.

I suspect his inability to know what proper restaurant quality food is, and admit he clearly has a problem in his kitchen, is a big part of the problem in this venue.

The service was also terrible, they brought out some people’s mains out when they were still eating starters. Took ages to get drinks even though the restaurant had almost nobody else in it other than our table.

This is a catastrophically awful restaurant and the first time in a very long time that I’ve refused to pay for dishes.

The restaurant was almost empty, on a Saturday in the middle of July, prime season… Which to be honest says it all.

Do not waste your time going here.
