Enorme Santanna Beach

My wife and I have just returned from our first stay at the hotel........staff were amazing, so helpful, always happy, and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was first class. A garden terrace leading to a pool was perfect. Airport transfers arranged b y the hotel were seamless. We loved the variety and quality of the meals. A stunning setting with a beautiful beach backdrop. A special big thanks to Dana and Katia who helped make our stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Both perfect ambassadors for the hotel. We would definitely recommend the hotel, and will definitely visit again!

This is a great hotel, being part of a large chain we were concerned, but despite negative reviews earlier in 2024 (which I suspect were due to teething problems) we had a great time. It is large enough that it doesn’t feel packed with plenty of sunbeds by pool and beach, but small enough that everything is nearby and you don’t feel like you are at a huge resort. Staff were all great, friendly, efficient and good at remembering room numbers! Buffet is good and as expected, this is not Four Seasons prices so your expectations should be adjusted accordingly. A few tweaks would be good for 2025: - beach bags in room, there are endless beach towels provided but nothing to carry them in - options for rooms with firm mattresses? A big ask but they are all soft, not even medium soft, so terrible back ache after a few nights unfortunately - kettle in rooms! We had to ask for one and were given the only one available, this is INDISPENSABLE for tea drinkers who I suspect make up the majority of clients. The nespresso machine is not for tea… water is barely 80 degrees… - large mugs for tea, there are only tiny coffee cups in room - crisps! Why are they not even available? In Spain and Italy they are provided free with alcohol as it encourages more drinking…. At least offer bags of crisps to be purchased? There are no snacks available to order with cocktails other than a micro bowl of nuts, this is a major up-sell failure and just means customer will buy bags in the shop next door - reception/management emails are not monitored, having booked 3 rooms last year, on departure we asked if a deal could be made to book again in 2025, weeks were told to email hotel manager which I did, but never received a response… ended up booking via BA - check in needs to be faster, considering we booked 6 months ahead and even emailed a day before arriving, it took 1 HOUR to check in….. customers don’t need a tour or breakdown of services, unless requested, all the information is already on the website and in the brochures in reception/room We have booked 3 rooms again for October 2025 and hope to see some of the above suggestions being noted, in the meantime, look forward to Numo Hospitality!

We spent 10 days in this hotel and it was absolutely amazing! The staff is very professional and attentive, the setting is beautiful and the hotel is perfect. Our stay was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend this hotel.

Overall, the experience was excellent, largely thanks to some exceptional staff members. Helena was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable and promptly dealt with any room issues we had. Petros made the holiday. His experience, kindness and knowledge of personal health and fitness surpassed my expectations. His advice and prescribed exercises indeed significantly reduced pain I had been experiencing. Should I return, I truly hope they will both be there still! Mohammed kindly organised our two room changes with efficiency and understanding. The location itself is excellent. Bring beach shoes as it can be tricky entering the water! The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were a delight. Be aware that the rooms vary immensely in size and location, and consider whether you like a quieter stay or one closer to the nightly music. Overall, with the knowledge we have of the resort, we would definitely return, with some carefully identified requests! Note: the private 'pool' is more a dip pool rather than a swimming pool.

Numo was one of our best hotel experiences ever. Entering the bright, wonderfully furnished lobby you can already start relaxing with a fresh homemade welcome drink while waiting for the extraordinary friendly staff to prepare everything. Katerina K. Introduced us to the facilities in such a welcoming way and made our entire stay exceptional. We actually changed our plans to come back to this hotel at the end of our trip because we liked it so much. We loved our room! The manager of the hotel was also extremely friendly and helpful regarding our last minute changes in plans and they offered us a wonderful room and service. I can highly recommend a massage with Despina at the Spa. Also the cinema experience was wonderful. The yoga classes and fitness classes were amazing. Food was also the highest quality and super delicious. We will definitely come back!

Lovely hotel, very comfortable and lovely staff. I recommend hiring a car and venturing out to the amazing tavernas near by. Take a trip into the mountains. Ask the concierge, they gave great advice. Restaraunt staff were all lovely too. Breakfast had a great choice. Advice is to take sea shoes as the beach is stony. Adult only hotel so quiet. Can be very windy but this just made sunbathing even easier.

Fantastic experience. Very chilled and relaxing environment. Pool areas are immaculate. restaurants are good. The buffet restaurant gives much more than an average buffet experience. Spa is exceptional, special thanks to Hector and Anastasia! Staff are among the best in any hotel i have stayed at.

We have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel, Nearly everything was perfect. Service was excellent and the buffet breakfast and dinner were varied and beautifully served and presented. The setting to eat by the sea was sublime. Everything was spotless and the atmosphere was peaceful and well managed. We had a suite with terrace. A wise choice! The terrace was huge with three comfortable loungers. The actual bedrooms are quite small and they only provide double not twin beds. The lighting system in the rooms requires a higher degree to master their complexity! One point: the menu at the pool bar for mainly midday snacks is far too limited and elaborate. Simpler fayre is needed to hold on between the marvellous breakfast and dinner. The location, as has been pointed out, is remote and there really aren’t any nearby trips to make. The town of Ierapetra is a short taxi ride away, but not very interesting. But for weeks rest this is a terrific choice. A few minor tweaks would make it even better. The mini market by the entrance gate is also excellent and useful. By the way, management, where do you store your clothes? The shelves and drawer space were very limited!
